The high pitch tone from the LFA was created by Yamaha so technically the v10 doesn’t produce that noise

Seriously though the 5.0 Gallardo's sound heavenly! Easily one of the best sounding cars ever built!

The Gallardo’s sound had so much potential. It already sounds incredible, if Lamborghini kept this engine and got it to rev at higher RPMS, it would sound better than the LFA

Not actually The LFA sound despite sounds being subjective is the best among all the sounds What I mean by the best...is that it's the purest engine sound ever not the most beautiful to the ears...the beauty of the sound is the subjective thing...but for me the LFA sound is the most beautiful sound ever Why the sound of the LFA is unbeatable in it's pureness ? Cuz no other car manufacturer put the efforts and costs of correcting the sound of a car like how Lexus/Yamaha did

V10s - best sound potential. LFA vs GSL - In a side by side sound-off the LFA wins, because it's engine note is so sweet, pure and high revving. It's so smooth and beautiful to listen to. Weird words to describe and engine sound I know but it's the only way I can describe it. BUT, out on a track or the road, the GSL wins because it has more character - it's not high revving as the LFA but it's raw, crackles and pops, it barks, it's echo, it may be louder too and oh the sound of the overrun.

More like you know they sound better. Personally it’s the #2 road car sound ever for me behind the LFA.

I remember watching this car when you first posted it a few years ago. The 5.0 gallardos never get old.

Ever since first saw the 5.0 gallardo in need for speed i instantly fell in love with the car, easily one of my most favorite lamborghinis

Some of the most fun I've ever had driving a car was in a first gen gallardo with a custom exhaust. It sounded insane!

Why does the first one sound with that screamy upper harmonic? I love that

The 5.0 is even firing (90° V angle with +18° split crankpins allowing for 72° firing intervals) and sounds like F1, whereas the 5.2 is odd firing (90° V angle with non-split crankpins resulting in firing intervals alternating between 54° and 90°) and sounds like a 5 cylinder.

There is 2 cars in this video one is 5.0 other one 5.2 the 5.0 sounds a bit like a murci yes the 5.2 sounds like a huracan

The first gen Gallardo sounded better than the LP560. I think they made a small difference to the engine, cylinder firing or something, I've read about it.

sd70m2man there'll be reability problem, because high displacement engine need ood firing order to prevent destructive vibration, in other word odd firing order creates vibration to counter destructive vibration, also they have flatter torque curve to win races

Why did the second half of the video sound different from the first half? Guess what, the first half sounded more like LFA and the second half sounded more like the regular Lambo V10! Maybe something to do with mic? EDIT: Absolutely the best sounding Lambo V10!

The first one had the old 5.0L V10 and the second one has the new 5.2L V10 FSI engine. The 5.0 has an even firing order and the 5.2 an odd firing order. That’s why they sound so different

@vansh godiwala no I know that difference, what I meant was the difference between the first half of the video and second half of the video. Both were the same first gen 5.0L even firing V10. But they sound remarkably different.

it's sad how little attention the og gallardo gets it's easily up there with the likes of the murcielago and lfa and cgt

Saw two of these at Kyalami this year. The sound was noticeably louder, and in my opinion, nicer than the R8 V10 Plus's and the Lambo Huracans. Awesome.

I love that color, guy near me has one in that color with green calipers, cage and a nice set of adv.1 wheels

This, the Carrera GT, and the Lexus LFA are the best sounding cars of all time. I'll throw in the Pagani Zonda in there too, but that's a V12. I prefer cars with V10 engines.

This thing sounds crazy! It's easily way better than the 5.2 in my opinion, but that's only my opinion don't let that change yours 😁
