Love the way the screen shakes when shifting, it adds so much. I miss how cool the body kits were back in the day, I'm pretty sure almost every car had some sort of unique body kit that was more than just bolt on wheel arches

I liked the Camaro's body kits most... Because body kit 1 was very stock like but with a wider wheelbase. (for some odd reason tho out of all the 4 exhausts on the rear only the outside ones spit fire...and the reverse lights are right in between the two exhausts on each side) Body kit 2 was with the side-exhausts and looked kinda like a race-ish car. Body kit 3 was the whole BIG AF body kit.

The question is: Why did they back away from all those body kits? I'm not sure if there's any company other than Liberty Walk to make body kits for cars. That could be the reason why there aren't any more body kits.

Just recently bought this game a few days ago for the Xbox 360 for “nostalgic” reasons since I played it originally for the PS2 “back in 2006”, and boy oh boy them graphics and sound quality still hold up great in the year 2020. NFS Carbon is a great example of how NFS used to be known for making “quality” games and putting lots of “effort” into their games, unlike nowadays where it’s all about the “revenue” and “micro transactions” that the game can produce. One of the best NFS ever created. Shoutout to all the OG’s who played NFS Carbon at its prime time just like myself. 🙏🏼

Sadly from the beta version of NFS Carbon graphics got downgraded in the fina versionl. If you seen a footage of beta version of the game you'll see how great details had while in the final almost all details got blured like the cracks on the road or the beams from the headlights.

Most Wanted and Carbon will go down as the prime NFS experience. I love underground and hot pursuit 2 but these games just hit different. Even the screen shake and effects just made you feel like you was actually going fast. So good.

Original engine skyline sounds so sweet and awesome

The lesson I got in that video is -there is upgrade tunnel in NFS carbon

The sound of the Murcielago and Gallardo are nothing short of majestic. And the GT is unique as well. Edit: fixed a typo.

The Sound design is top tier perfection. The Bass on this is absolute perfection this game is perfection. Edit. The Ford GT is also perfection in this game

That gear shift sound design is insane.

Nice video Boss as usual. It is good to see you are using manual more often :D. I would like to see next time comparing the sound of the cars not only in the high rev range but in also the low rev range like 2-4K RPM. Also in Neutral if you use a controller compared to keyboard you can press smoothly the gas button and that makes the car to rev smoothly instead of banging the red line (just a suggestion for the future videos). My favorite car sounds in Carbon were the Bmw M3 GTR, Corvette, Viper, Lamborghini Gallardo & Murcielago, Porsche Carrera GT, Mitsubishi Evo, and the Ford GT. Also I loved how when you're racing the AI you can hear their cars with their specific sounds and not just the same sound.

I like how the Lamborghini sounds are so messed up in NFS Carbon. For example stock Gallardo sounds like 6.2L V12 Murcielago while upgraded like straight-piped 5.0L V10. Same goes with the Murcielago LP640 how tf it sounds like V10 when in reality has 6.5L V12? I feel like the stock sound of the Murcielago coupe was intended to be for the LP640 but they messed them up instead. And it is also funny how 4 years later in NFS World Black Boz got the LP640 sound right.

Carbon is such a good game. Also Car sounds:). Good job😁(My favorite sound is Murcielago sound😏🔥)

The Ford GT sound is found in Pro Street as a leftover and with some simple changes, you can replace the vanilla one and it sounds simply amazing

I can’t believe I don’t see more people complimenting the way cars shift in this game, it’s my favorite part when it comes to sound design, I get full immersion when gears slap in and out, with the engine roaring with the timing and rpm’s of it. Truly an ear grabbing game of it’s time.

I play it on ps3 with a logitech g923 and let me fucking tell you its the best fucking game Ive played on wheel so far, surprisingly they added force feed back and the trueforce of the wheel also works, shifting just feels superb when I got the speakers on full blast and kick the clutch all the way down

@@BlueCJ yea same, after getting into stacked deck region of darius, your rx7 or db9 would be no match for their cars, you had less cash and had to choose wisely. i went for corvette once and other time went for ford gt. both are really good. but corvette has crazy handling and took me hours to tune the right way

Corvette and Viper are the best for Carbon. -Corvette with more acceleration and Handling -Viper with Speed Sadly with how the map is, the corvette usually wins everything. Also, that #LS7 Sound is so damn accurate in every iteration of the NFS Games of the Black Box time, and it only came back to glory with Ghost's Corvette Z06 Sound after the missing years of the '08 ZR1 Fill-in.

I wish they kept some iteration of the stock R34, Supra, and Romeo sounds when the were fully tuned, something about the way those stock engines purred when they hit certain speeds just sounds so good

i love the fact that the sound changes between to upgraded and non upgraded version of the car

The atmosphere was intense when it needed to be yet chilled and calm also when you needed it to be

I do really miss the old days when this was more than enough. The developers have added so many things to the games that they forgot abut the essence of them. This video made me want to revive my childhood once again, but not with the current games, but with the old school ones.

Best part of Carbon is that there's a sound for hitting the pedal to the metal. Just a subtle bass hit and then you see those rpms hit redline real quick.

Its cool how you made the actual replicas of Kenji, Angie, and Wolf’s tier 3 boss cars

Sound is berry detailed I also remember the time when my cousin was playing this, and he was having a hard time defeating Darius at the canyon. He had a Lamborghini murcielago fully upgraded performance, and had like a body kit what not. After many attempts he defeated him, but the reason for that was because he said “I removed the body kit, and won”. LOL I will never forget that. I was playing carbon as well, but I had the Gallardo. It was fully upgraded, and I had a body kit as well, I took his advise seriously and removed it, but I never won. As a kid I was very frustrated with Darius, but after many attempts I finally defeated him. Of course it doesn’t matter what kind of car you have, but the skills you have. It was just so funny how looking back removing a body kit was the solution just because of my cousin. Played this on my PHAT PS3 (Back when I was a kid). Currently playing this on my PC for nostalgic reasons, time really flies, and you only realize this once you get old. I remember the first year of my high school as a freshmen thinking how 3 years is a very long time. But now I’m a senior about to graduate, you never realize how time flies once you think about it because we’re too busy living our life, and not thinking about the time. It was fun being young, and I may have been stubborn during those times, but now I’m about to be an adult. You know as a teen we all must’ve done something stupid during those times, but it can actually a good thing a good memory something to think about in the future, and laugh about it, or maybe tell your own kids about it. Something I will always remember from what my counselor said to me “Focusing on school is very important, but making memories is very important as well”. SMH I’m sorry that whole thing was so irrelevant, this is suppose to be about NFS carbon. Anyways stay safe guys.

Honestly this game has a lot of really nice sounding engines that do sound better than a lot of cars in Forza horizon 4, but Horizon 1 has some of the best sounds ever in existence. The Zonda R and Aventador were REALLY good. Idk why they changed the sounds in the other games.

Man love the sounds of the old school need for speed seems lacking in todays car games. memories.. 😊👍👍

Still the stock sound sounds bit more high-pitched than the tuned one which is very weird that this Viper has a redline of 6000 RPM but the exhaust sound sounds like it revs to 6500 - 7000 RPM.

this video wouldn't have been complete without the almighty BMW M3 GTR also holy fuck that Ford GT sounds mean
