Silver is silver, and when SHTF it won't matter how pretty it is. Constitutional right now with prices is the best.
I always have and always will love coin silver. The history is fantastic and beauty is unmatched by anything made today. I have bars and sovereign silver too but what I love the most is the old silver coins
90% before 1965. And I love to handle a big pile of silver dollars and halves just because the the size, but dimes and quarters are the best buy.
Maple leafs..purest of pure.. purely beautiful.

My silver stack goal has been reached when prices were lower. Now I have shifted to 1970's one oz art bars mainly from 1973-1975...USSC, Madison, Death Valley, Great Lakes, Crabtree etc etc. HIGHLY addictive to find the rare ones at a good price.
I agree 90% is my favorite I do own Silver Eagles, Maples, Krugerrands too
I'm into the 90% right now with the lower premiums. I've recently been able to add $80 face value in junk silver in the last couple months. Before that, I only had a small amount. I'm always looking for the best price to add to my stacking. ASE are completely out of the question right now.
A GREAT WONDERFUL basic tool video that we needed!!!!!
Great topic. I usually have to determine the cost between 1 ounce of silver in the 90% silver coins versus a 1 ounce Silver Round before I buy
Awesome video Josh.. keep up the good work
I agree. I just filled 70 baggies with one Franklin half, two pre 1965 Washington quarters and four Mercury dimes. Added to my stack of silver options.
Josh, agree, Constitutional Silver
I do like the bars specifically the five and 10 ounces
Honest presentation. Thanks
Great video love the information
Good overview of silver.
Great information for stackers well done . For me, an oz of Silver is an oz of Silver i'm big on 90%.as well.
I really liked that round with the pyramid on the back!!!!
when i discovered the price difference of uncirculated and impaired i stopped buying uncirculated. I stack for long term savings and ultimately to pass on to my kids. More silver is better and having checked around on selling only dealers seem to pay more for uncirculated. I did buy a four wheeler with silver and the only concern of the seller was that i had American silver eagles, the issue of uncirculated never came up.
Whatever is the lowest premium is screaming to be bought. 90% / Junk happens to fit that bill currently. I suspect 'IF' silver skyrockets, most silver brought to coin shops will be bought without prejudice. VERY similar buying prices. Though something like 90% maybe a bit back of spot, due to needing refined. Probably goes for large bars as well, as demand would be low. Supply/demand would definitely be a consideration even at $75/ounce, however. So I could be wrong about low buybacks on constitutional. For all I know, there could be people buying it to save it from the melting pot lol (I do with the mercs) I believe we'll see new all time highs sooner than later. Even if silver were 'at' it's all time high, it would still be undervalued and ratio out of whack. I said that, and I'm actually pretty conservative about silvers price, by the way.
Great conclusion/recommendation!! IMHO the only silver to stack !!
impaired ASE's ; yes bit more expense to buy , silver price increase will make up for it.

Yes! They're cheaper than BU and you can handle them without losing value
Nice rounds
Couldn’t disagree more. If I need silver for a loaf of bread. I’d prefer lead. We all have our own strategies though. I wish everyone well and happy stacking
I appreciate the silver sovereigns
Yay Josh..... goood video! Thank you!!!!! Constitutional is THE best nooooooo doubt!!!!
as a ND resident living in the California of ND, I'm unfortunately not going to get to minot on a regular basis. my local dealer is not as 'good' as your examples and shop. I hope to get to visit your location this summer. thank you for the videos and the information. keep up the good work and thank you for being local.
I'm one of those stackers that does not buy 90%. I don't know why, lol. I guess I just like uncirculated buffalos, ASE and Maples. I also don't buy bars or all the rounds with 1,000 different designs. Good luck trying to get rid of those designer rounds in a SHTF scenario. I know I won't be taking them for barter. Great job Josh and I really like your interviews with Silver Seeker.
Impaired silver is my favorite.
Since you asked, in my opinion the best thing to stack is US silver eagles. One can say that they have a "high premium", but that is just another way of saying "they're worth more." Or, speaking of gold, I think the best buy is 24 karat US Mint gold buffaloes. Their "high premium" is the market consensus is that they are worth more than their weight.
IT IS TRUE.
Cheers
Agree
great audio, you must be using good gear. Well done!
My coin shop says he has 500 lbs. Of 90% that he cant sell. I sold some high grade Franklins and got 60% of what I paid. I used the money to buy silver eagles. He only a few left. Dont forget to tell people that sell back on numismatic type coins is the worst. Dealers have stacks of sets they cant sell .
I'm lucky to have a reputable local shop.
90% for me also.
Huge Merc dime fan here. Love the old Rat Rods. 😍🎉

Shiny rocks...90%!
90% is a good value in this market. I like it too. My rounds and sovereign coin i want it pristine. I hate looking at beat up silver rounds. Now my 5 and 10 oz. bars are not pristine, but they look pretty good
Mercury Dimes were on my list but KULL ASE are #1 on my target in.my sites. Then acquiring a few 2024 ASE maybe from COSTCO who knows
90% currently
I don't think barter with gold or silver would be probable in a total collapse situation. 99% of the population has never held a round or coin, so they wouldn't understand its worth. They wouldn't know if it's real or fake. I think they will want food, water, hygiene products, medicines, and protection. If stores start to open up and accept metals, the rest of the population will start to catch on. Who the heck knows though. Just my gut feeling. I do love 90%. Great video, Josh.

100% agree. I don't want to live in a world where I have to barter with silver (or anything else for that matter). I mean, if it comes to that, only the small percentage of the population who prepared will be able to barter. It will not be a case of the haves, and the have nots.....it will be survival of the fittest, or survival of the most well armed. No thank you!!!!! I stack simply to speculate on silver. I believe silver will increase exponentially, and hope that I will double my investment by early in 2025.

I only have have a Nano now but that's good enough for me just a little something to look at. Let's be honest once your in the hobby you can't not have atleast 1 tank setup. I'm also a stacker I only stack mainly as a savings account nothing else. It's great to find someone that's into the same hobby's as youself. Cheers

Designer silver is fun, but wont make a diff when SHTF…
90% all the way .. ill buy it all day everyday over any round
90%
90% I think is best followed by impaired soverigns but once again price is king shops vary widely. Ie I have found impaired eagles at spot, +1, +1.60, so far.
If the price is right I stack it all. I think impaired sovereigns are a great value too.

The best to me is one you didn't show, 10 ounce Tudor Beasts from the Royal mint. Sovereign, big 10 ounce coins, from $3-6 over spot but they are limited mintage and probably will have a collector's value as they have different reverse Beasts. Also, some have the Queen and some have the King on the Obverse. They are 9999 fine, fantastic all around imo.
Recognizability is no problem even for those just getting in to PM's = Lens app on any phone.
My lcs puts impaired sovereigns in the rounds bin.
1 oz Silver Buffalo Rounds for me.

@@conradkostelecky7935 I go to my local Gold & Silver dealer. $30 each for Buffalos. I prefer to go to him as he is a mom and pop shop and do not have to pay shipping and get to pick it up in person at the store.
I would consider buying some impaired silver rounds. I would avoid the painted ones. I don't mind some light scratches or toning.
@silvertrek357

100% Acetone will take the paint off without harming the coin.
The reason the 90 % is the best value everyone wants the shiny stuff
If I was there I would buy some constitutional junk 90 and some impaired sovereign
1oz bars are good i think.
This is why I prefer Canadian Maples over overpriced American Silver Eagles. They are prettier, silver is 9999 vs 999, better security features, no milkspots (post 2018), lower premiums, and FV is $5.00 Canadian vs $1.00 USD. Based on FV alone, it takes over 3 ASE to equal 1 Maple. Personally I would think the opposite would be true, that Maples would command a much higher premium over ASE. Only negative is that Maples have the English monarch on them, currently King Charles III (formerly Queen Elizabeth II), but to me, it's still a superior bullion coin vs ASE or frankly over any other silver sovereigns available.
@TXMusicDrummer

I agree that 90% constitutional silver is best value at this time and likely the best thing to have on hand for bartering, especially if (or when) the US has its SHTF moment.
what are your buy back prices?
Buy the cheapest and stack as much as you can, as fast as you can!!
I like sovereign, generic rounds in 1 oz coins and bars, but also 10 oz bars too. And yes junk silver.
the best is..........whatever you can afford and what you like.
So with rounds, how much lower of a buy back am I expecting vs melt value? Should I expect melt, or lower than melt?
I'll stack all of these. I have a problem, though. I'm a collector at heart, and when faced with the opportunity to purchase a type coin for my set, or bullion, I'll jump on the type coin, especially if it's one I've been looking for. I traded several silver maples a while back for some better date PCGS Carson City Morgan's. The maples had ugly milk spots, and I don't like that. So, maybe I'm not a fan of the impaired sovereigns. I like silver eagles, but not the premiums. My favorite sovereigns are the Britannias and kangaroos. That said, there's always something very satisfying about having a pile of constitutional silver in front of you to add to the stack. It's American, and everyone recognizes it. Should the need arise, the ability to have anything from a dime to a dollar for barter is a good thing.
Exciting news! The inclusion of Rose number [407] beautifully symbolizes our collaborative efforts in this creative garden at CoinEra. Let's continue nurturing this shared space together! 🌹🌷🌼 Thank you for being an integral part of it! 😊💖
10 oz bars
I love halfdollars in the forties. I have tonz of junk and love it
right now if STHF happens I want 90%. what is your 90% premium?
I’ve really been enjoying stacking 90% lately and will probably continue to focus on it more than rounds or coins.
Great advice as usual. Two questions please. 1. Do you charge California sales tax if the sale if smaller than $2,000. 2. Do you ship to CA? And if so, what are the charges?
@zzyzxRDFwy15

Yes tax exempt items $2,000 or more, no sales tax collected. Minimum order to CA is $2,000 for sales tax exempted material. No shipping charge over $1,000. Read the video's description for this info.

Another Pro for 90% is they don't make it anymore and so when it's in short supply the premiums can skyrocket as in the past. Another con is that is dirty to handle. I have a lot of it.
If I had to sell my silver at scrap, impaired silver coins (.999) are the same as uncirculated or proofs
90% silver

Wait a minute, I am seeing a pattern here, if you buy for less you sell for less😂😂😂, Keep Stackin bro
Impaired doesn't scare me any, if it comes to a barter situation they will be recognizable, and that will be important.

A real good salad today!
I got a sweet deal from my Muslim connection. He let me buy back my BU roll of 1960 Rosie dimes at $100. Can't turn that down!
The best silver to buy is....NOT silver! Gold has fared significantly better over the last year, 2 years, 10 years, 50 years, 100 years, etc. The premium one pays over spot for silver is usually always quite high (in excess of 20-30% over spot sometimes!!). Gold has a higher barrier to entry, but even fractional gold is a lower percentage over spot than silver. I'm still under water from silver purchased in 2009, yet the gold I bought just a few short years ago has appreciated significantly. If you can't afford a ⅒oz gold coin, you are better off buying equities such as ETFs. Stay away from silver unless it's purely to bring you joy and you don't mind having to hold it for over a decade to break even. If you can buy a 100oz silver bar, you can buy a 1oz gold coin. Happy stacking and to each his own...just sharing my 2¢.😊 😊😊

Do you feel that 90% silver is best because of the barter factor? I don't want to live in a world where I have to barter with silver (or anything else for that matter). I mean, if it comes to that, only the small percentage of the population who prepared will be able to barter. It will not be a case of the haves, and the have nots.....it will be survival of the fittest, or survival of the most well armed. No thank you!!!!! I stack simply to speculate on silver. I believe silver will increase exponentially, and hope that I will double my investment by early in 2025. I have been successful buying serialized silver bars on eBay from known mints (Scottsdale, APMEX, Engelhard, Sunshine, Johnson Murphy, etc.) at prices slightly below spot. Some are auctions, some are buy it now. Most have free shipping. One seller collected over $12K from me and did not deliver. But eBay made good, full refund within 2 business days. There are a lot of scammers out there. Pay with PayPal!!!! Thoughts???
Junk 90
I think you have the recognizability issue upside down. The ants who have prepared will know what is real and how to test for it. The grasshoppers will not know - and they will have no silver anyway. They will learn fast or starve.
I suggest using the name "heritage silver" and never "junk" silver. Constitutional silver has nothing to do with the Constitution, right? Cons: worn, and not all coins of same denomination are the same weight; plus, people remember these from common usage, years ago. Will the public think of an old Washington quarter as anything but a Washington quarter. Private minting produces unfamiliar images, in some way; I think people bartering will be receptive to a new value. Old silver looks defeated; people in a bounce-back economy are going to need to sense they are going to prosper again. Last, I can talk with enthusiasm about a new round with a meaningful message in the design, but I'm speechless about an old dime.
IS that 90% silver in your pocket or are you just happy to see me.

Whoa...
It’s a shame that whoever formulated the silver to copper ratio in Americas currency didn’t do it in whole, easy to compute numbers. Most of the older Canadian silver is 80%, making each ten $ face value an even 6 ounces of silver, .600 every ounce. They used more common sense in their minting process than Americans did.
