Such an excellent video Mila ❤as someone who is curvy and has hips, I really appreciate your review of the recent Sézane dresses. I only have one Sézane dress in my collection and it fits wonderfully on my shape. It is the Raquel dress in black. The belted shirt dress is flattering and the length perfect.

Thank for a very useful review. I always enjoy your content and look forward to your videos . One of my recent purchases from Sézane is a Solia dress . It’s 100% silk , fitted at the top and waist and flowing from the waist . It’s a bit low cut , but not ridiculously low. I wore for a party and I didn’t feel uncomfortable.

Thanks for the reminder of what works best on our body type! I have basically the exact same measurements like you (just taller). Whenever I attempt to wear structured clothing I have to work so much harder to make it look good than with softer / fluid fabrics. I also have the exact same shoe size like you and your videos are incredibly helpful in choosing size! Which is important because I have to pay painful import fees AND return fees myself every time I order. We don’t have a store in my country but I love Sezane, so thanks for your amazing guidance 🙏🏼

Great video! very helpful as always! I tried the Meryl dress in navy and I love it! it's very flattering like the harper dress which I own and I love! even though the meryl which has the same fabric composition as the harper, I think it's more suitable for fall winter, as it's too warm right now.

Great video! I just got my first Sézane dress - the Dorotha in black and white 😍 It is so pretty & special! I love that I can adjust the straps to fit perfectly. As someone who is borderline petite and quite busty, dresses have been difficult but this one is lovely. I might try Pippa next ❤

I am a huge fan of the Adele dress (and any other there other iterations of it). It works so well for my curves. I recently got an Emy and actually like it for a comfortable dress. It slightly hugs my hips to show my shape and just some how works. I might get another color or try a pippa. I know it all comes down to what degree of curviness we are. This was a very helpful video. Thank you.

I bought the Gabrielle dress last summer - love it - my first Sezane dress and I needed to size down - and Pippa was my second and I did need to size up to avoid it bulging at the tummy :)

Just ordered the Solita dress in blue! Very curious to see how bright that blue is in real life. Might go for the floral print instead if the blue is too saturated. And congrats on 10k :)

I would love to try more Sezane dresses but have been afraid because they don’t look like they would suit my body type. I have a tummy and the price point is too high for me to take the leap.

I have Adele dress, I ordered with Meryl! I kept both! Meryl is so heavy it shouts quality! Love merino wool!!! Adele is wonderful makes me look like a chic mama 😄

Uanna is beautiful but the cut is really off, I think it’s flawed. My plan is to make 2 darts somewhere so it doesn’t stick out in the front. Did you have this problem? I like the length because I have a short torso and wear mostly high waist bottoms, but it does make it less versatile for sure. I’m planning to do a review soon 🫶🏼

Chiarella is a beautiful dress! I do think it’s good for curves but maybe not for my ratio. I have my doubts in terms of fit because of the smocked back. While it helps the dress adjust to our torso/bust, I feel it might leave a gap when the smock part ends? This happened to me when I tried Dorotha and that one was a lot more fluid, in silk. I can’t say for sure though, just my impressions 🫶🏼

I also ordered the Lindsay dress in small, and while it fits, I went ahead and ordered the medium as I agree it doesn't give much 'breathing room'. I love the idea of this dress, and it is gorgeous, but I'm not 100% sure I'll keep it. The colour is also a bit more creamy vanilla than I was expecting, but still pretty.

Oh how do you like the Medium? I really wanted to try, the S feels clingy around the hips and I don’t really like that. Yes, the color is quite yellow compared to their other ecru pieces. I LOVE the fabric, feels so nice and the cut is perfect!

Hi Mila! So the medium arrived and it’s perfect. The only drawback is it’s a bit longer ( I’m also 5’5”) so I would likely only wear it with a bit of a heel rather than flats, but the fit is much better and I love it! I will definitely keep it. I think you’d be more comfortable in the medium as well! Let me know if you decide to exchange it! 🌸🌼💕

I tired the salie dress but the straps were really unflattering on me. On the front bust area they make a fold 😅 and after trying i saw that even the model on the picture has slight issues like that 😢 otherwise super cute dress. I want to try more different sezane dresses

The fit is bad for everyone I think :( I’m planning to sew a couple of darts in the front, I think it’s a flawed cut honestly!

I just got the Fabiola dress (camel stripes). I have a very straight figure (no hips) and I'm so disappointed with it 😩. (1) the fit still isn't great (2) the fabric felt really thin and cheap. I think that this dress would be better with only 1% elastane instead of 3% and slightly thicker cotton. Going to be returning....

Same! I really do not get all the hype around it. It really is not worth the price. It looks and feels cheap. Also the fit is not so good. There is excessive material on the back and material pulls between the buttons. I mentioned it till now by everyone who tried it. I sent it back too.

Elisa dress was weird on me because of hips. (Not in the video but yes it was not good!)

I keep looking at the Aphrodite dress in black. It looks so cute, but can’t tell if it’s suited for an hourglass shape or if it’s too straight and would accentuate my tummy.

Hi Jamie! I reviewed Aphrodite in black last year, I also owned a bright turquoise version. The dress is gorgeous and so unique, the fabric and cut are great for hourglass, but it does accentuate the tummy a bit in my opinion (unless you size up for extra room around the hips, it will smooth out the transition between the waist and hips in the front - hope this makes sense). The problem with sizing up is that you may find it too long of the straps too loose, it’s hard to tell without actually trying on. @@milainnewyork thank you!!! It looks fabulous on you! I’m all legs/shorter torso and on the taller side. Might be worth a shot, but I almost always gravitate towards a fit and flare style cause I think they suit my shape a little more. Wish there was a Sezane in Colorado!

I have tried Amandine, it was horrible: too loose and revealing on top and very tight on the hips 😢

Oh no!! Sorry it didn’t work for you :( I have Amandine in the short version (Hawa) and it’s so flattering, I wore mine for Christmas last year. I sized up for mine to have extra room around the hips. Now I’m curious about Amandine, it gave me the impression that it’s the exact same dress just longer. 🤔 do you have narrow shoulders by any chance (pear shape)?

Dresses again! 95 % of all women look awful in dresses. You are slim Mila, all looks good on you, but in all honesty, if you are bigger then size 36, do not wear dresses. Tschau Petra

Dear Petra, are there any specific types of clothes you’d like to see reviews of? I share outfits that work for my body type, unfortunately I don’t know what all my followers look like in real life and I wish I could do targeted videos to everyone. I got so many requests to a review of Sézane dresses, that’s why this video ended up being so popular if you check the comments. Although I disagree that most women look bad in dresses, I understand your frustration. I look terrible in midi skirts, denim skirts, clothes with too much ruffle or super structured fabrics. It’s all about finding what is flattering on our body and what makes us feel the best! If you’d like to see a review of something please do let me know and I’ll take into consideration. Please keep in mind that if our size and body proportions are different, whatever I review might not be the best for you.
