Other differences for the a6500 include a bigger grip, extra custom button, improved shutter life, new menu system, Slow & Quick mode, and a way better buffer.

It wasn't a factor in my purchasing decision, but I've come to love the fast buffer for run and gun photography. Can shoot many frames before that buffer fills up

Sidney.. I've watched this video as I'm backpacking through Southeast Asia and something as simple as setting the dials on 1 and 2 to shoot in 24fps and 120fps has saved me a ton of hassle, thank you!.... I hope all is well with you and keep making wonderful content!

Just an FYI to EVERYONE! It's not recording at 100 megabytes a second or 60 megabytes a second. It's actually megabits. So you don't need to spend almost $100 on an SDCard. SD cards are labeled in mb/s (megabytes) while the videos are in mbps (megabits).

Hey Sidney, I figured out the custom #2 shutter speed 1/125 issue. My other question is, I just got the SanDisk 64gb performance 170 MB/s read and 90 MB/s writing. You said only select the 100 MB if your SD card can handle it. The next step up in SanDisk for higher write speeds above 100 MB/s is UHS-class 2, but apparently the a6500 can only handle UHS class-1. Can I use the 4K 24p 100MB setting with this SD card or do I need a UHS 2? Thanks

Hey man, your videos are SO good. I'm 100% sure you are going to blow up on the youtube scene really soon. I have a quick question though, I have the sony a6300 and I shoot wedding videos. I already have the Sigma 30mm f1.4 (love it!) and the kit lens and the 55 - 210 lens. I am thinking about getting another lens, and since I love glidecamming, I was thinking about getting the Samyang 12mm f2 or the sony 50mm f1.8 for monopod shots or a similar longer focal length lens. I just need another good low light lens, and those two appeal most to me. Any thoughts? Thanks!

  • @SidneyDiongzon

+Landon Cramer Thanks man! Those are some awesome and encouraging words! As far as your next lens, I'd go with the 12mm. You already have a prime and zoom lens, so go for the wide angle lens to diversify your lens arsenal! Hope this helps!

Sidney Thanks for sharing. Definitely one of the most informative vids I've seen on the a6500. What lenses do you have on the camera and what others do you rec?

Heey! I have an a6500 and what I mainly do is vlogs, but filming in 4K saves a lot of space. Do you think doing it on XAVC S HD would be good quality? Also, is 60p50m, 30p50m or 24p50m better? Sorry for all the questions, I can't find an answer anywhere! Thank you! 🥺❤️

Hi Sidney, thank you for this video. I am now using your settings. You mentioned P Bloom. I am also a fan - I was wondering if you had a link to his A6500 video(s) as I can't find them. It would be most appreciated. Andrew

Curious why cine4 over slog2? Just preference? or do you get better quality videos for post?

saw on your preset buttons 1 & 2 you set it to PP8 Cine4 Pro but have your exposure compensation set to 0. Do you bump it to +0.3 or 0.7 while filming or just leave it alone?

+BigBoyTravel It depends on the location and situation. Sometimes I leave it alone, sometimes I like over exposing a bit.

How do you combine 4K30p shot with 1080p 120/100/60/30/24 fps when editing bro ? How do you proceed cause I think it would be great to get a sharp image in 4K and being able to combine with great slow motions as well. Keep up the great work !! Antoine
