Other differences for the a6500 include a bigger grip, extra custom button, improved shutter life, new menu system, Slow & Quick mode, and a way better buffer.

It wasn't a factor in my purchasing decision, but I've come to love the fast buffer for run and gun photography. Can shoot many frames before that buffer fills up
Sidney.. I've watched this video as I'm backpacking through Southeast Asia and something as simple as setting the dials on 1 and 2 to shoot in 24fps and 120fps has saved me a ton of hassle, thank you!.... I hope all is well with you and keep making wonderful content!

Just an FYI to EVERYONE! It's not recording at 100 megabytes a second or 60 megabytes a second. It's actually megabits. So you don't need to spend almost $100 on an SDCard. SD cards are labeled in mb/s (megabytes) while the videos are in mbps (megabits).
Dude Thank you so much. I bought my Sony last week and have no idea how should i set it up. Been searching around and people are just you stuff that is too advanced you don't even know why you do it or set it up that way. You video is so helpful and simple and so easy to understand. Keep up the good work (y)

Thanks for the awesome video. It’s so informative. But the slow motion mode didn’t work. What did I miss? What about s&q setting?
So i got my first sony a6500 w/ Sigma 16mm, if i shoot slowmo does the lowlight on the sigma goes off? because when i tried to use slowmo settings it looks like its so dark.
Thanks for the helpful tutorial Sidney. I was able to learn a new dance move during the break....right on! Oh, one more thing...I subscribed.

What would you recommend as far as lemses you like to use?
For the slow motion c2 setting, are you using picture profile 8 as well?
When I put the slow mo settings in you recommended and try to change my shutter to 250 it won’t allow my shutter to go pass 100. I don’t know why. It’s also changing the aperture automatically every time I attempt to change the shutter speed. Do you know why?
So useful thanks!
Good work man. I appreciate the help.

You killed it epic!!!!
Great video! Thank you so much. In slow motion, can I choose 100p 100M?
Hey Sidney, I figured out the custom #2 shutter speed 1/125 issue. My other question is, I just got the SanDisk 64gb performance 170 MB/s read and 90 MB/s writing. You said only select the 100 MB if your SD card can handle it. The next step up in SanDisk for higher write speeds above 100 MB/s is UHS-class 2, but apparently the a6500 can only handle UHS class-1. Can I use the 4K 24p 100MB setting with this SD card or do I need a UHS 2? Thanks
best reviews and help re 6500 thus far! thanks!

What picture profile settings would you recommend for great video (like your film journal lut) but straight out of the camera, without having to color grade? Maybe you could do a video on this? Thanks. Love your videos!
thanks so much for this video, i find it very helpful!!!
Thanks for the tips! I'm having trouble saving my picture profile settings to my camera. Do you know why? Even after clicking on the memory card buttons. I'll switch back and forth to and my picture profile settings will not be there.
Hey man, your videos are SO good. I'm 100% sure you are going to blow up on the youtube scene really soon. I have a quick question though, I have the sony a6300 and I shoot wedding videos. I already have the Sigma 30mm f1.4 (love it!) and the kit lens and the 55 - 210 lens. I am thinking about getting another lens, and since I love glidecamming, I was thinking about getting the Samyang 12mm f2 or the sony 50mm f1.8 for monopod shots or a similar longer focal length lens. I just need another good low light lens, and those two appeal most to me. Any thoughts? Thanks!
@SidneyDiongzon
7 жыл бұрын
+Landon Cramer Thanks man! Those are some awesome and encouraging words! As far as your next lens, I'd go with the 12mm. You already have a prime and zoom lens, so go for the wide angle lens to diversify your lens arsenal! Hope this helps!

Came across your content a few weeks back, all the way from Dubai. Good to see a father of two being consistent with content - pushes me to not slack
What do you recommend, if you want to have high dynamic range and colors. I don't want flat profile or dark cinematic style. Which modes do we put for that style of shooting.
Hi, I want to use the device in a semi-automatic mode, why at f4 in program mode, exposure time 1/160 f4 and iso 600. why does not the time stay at 1/60 and the lesser the iso?
could you tell me the name of the font in your thumbnail btw great video

Heey! I have an a6500 and what I mainly do is vlogs, but filming in 4K saves a lot of space. Do you think doing it on XAVC S HD would be good quality? Also, is 60p50m, 30p50m or 24p50m better? Sorry for all the questions, I can't find an answer anywhere! Thank you! 🥺❤️
Hi Sidney, thank you for this video. I am now using your settings. You mentioned P Bloom. I am also a fan - I was wondering if you had a link to his A6500 video(s) as I can't find them. It would be most appreciated. Andrew

Curious why cine4 over slog2? Just preference? or do you get better quality videos for post?
saw on your preset buttons 1 & 2 you set it to PP8 Cine4 Pro but have your exposure compensation set to 0. Do you bump it to +0.3 or 0.7 while filming or just leave it alone?
@SidneyDiongzon

+BigBoyTravel It depends on the location and situation. Sometimes I leave it alone, sometimes I like over exposing a bit.
thank for real! this benn helping me alot!!
How do you combine 4K30p shot with 1080p 120/100/60/30/24 fps when editing bro ? How do you proceed cause I think it would be great to get a sharp image in 4K and being able to combine with great slow motions as well. Keep up the great work !! Antoine
thanks brother!
