Ended up getting an attack 3/Wirebug Whisperer 3 talisman from melding Cyclus but having the know on just how strong these talismans can get is really good! This video is much appreciated as always

So many possibilities thanks to this new melding and kind of makes some armor parts not needed when crafting efficient builds of your choosing.

I was ecstatic when I got a quick sheathe 3, crit boost 2 talisman with 2-2-0 slots (long sword player).

Got lv4 Dragonheart and lv3 stamina drain with 3-0-0 deco. Too bad my main weapon can't do exhaust, but at least i could go full dragon conversion+dereliction armor for my dragon build set. Currently using lv2 strife+lv2 divine protection with 3-1-0 deco slot for the rest of my elementals set.

You can get the unavailable skills as secondary skills through cyclus, have gotten multiple furious ones as the secondary skill

I love to use embolden 3 + Guard 5 on SnS ist like guard 10 and you can almost counter rush everything, its soo fun

I’m excited for this new melding option!

I got a nice Guard 5, Expert 1, and two 2-slots talisman, but now that I know you can get two 3-slots on one talisman, I should try to roll for something else and get an easy +4 Guard with those slots.

I'm looking for a berserk 2 Deriliction 1 3-3-1 slot talisman, but I can only get that from the random melding option.

My brother used cyclus for dragonheart, and got it at max level with max level defence boost, which I didn't even think was possible. Also please make a video on Higenjima, a lesser-known Frontier monster.

You should look up the talisman possibility spreadsheet. The melds are insane.

That's odd. Based on the spreadsheet from the subreddit of monsterhuntermeta, the maximum level of dragonheart as a primary skill is 4 and defense boost as secondary skill is 6 in cyclus melding. Maybe he used decorations to make it max or something.

I got 2 good talismans so far. Attack boost 3 with wirebug whisperer with 3-2-1 slot. Quick sheath 3 with mail of hellfire level 2 with 2-2-2 slot

Best hope is for me is guard 5/guard up 2, and at least 1 two slot. Ho boy the grinding imma have to do. but if I can get that and 2-2-2 slot? Guard5, guard up3, and embolden 2 right there. So much slottage saved.

Honestly I wouldnt say Crit Boost paired with Frostcraft is the best talismen considering we have so many good pieces with Crit Boost on it especially the Amatsu legs or Risen Valstrax legs whoch you can trade a stun res out for a Crit Boost. Attack Boost 2 or Crit Eye 2 might be a tiny bit better seeing as they can be slot demanding and paired with the new 4 slot decos opens up a lot more imo. Even then Dragon Conversion 3 with both of those skills seems a lot stronger as well since most weapons cant really use Frostcraft effectively besides GS and LS. Dereliction is also up there for being better then Frostcraft

Yeah, Frostcraft is way overrated. It's one of the best skills for some weapons, but most weapons have no use for it. If you use an exhaust Switch Axe like Reconqueress, buildup boost is pretty much essential for a talisman roll since the armor with it sucks and trying to get it on a random armor roll basically requires you to give up everything else on that armor.

im wondering if Redirection is possible to get on a talisman or if i have to stick with armor skills?

Funny enough with how much new melding I’ve done, my old attack 3/wire bug whisperer 3 with 3/1 slots is still better than any I’ve got so far

Dragonheart on charm up to lv4 is so nice! It still puzzles me why it needed to be a 4 slot deco.

Instantly replaced my old best attack charm with a rarity 8 attack 3 wirebug whisperer 2 and 2/1 slot not had too much luck with other good charms as of yet, but nice to know just how busted they might be should i get a god roll.

So what’s the best thing I should be trying to get as a bow user?

there is a chance for non-deco skills to appear in cyclus but it is very very low maybe like 0. something. i estimate I already rolled around less than 150 tables since the patch dropped, earlier this morning is the first time I saw a non-deco skill to appear from cyclus; after 3 days & it gave me a useless secondary skill furious lvl 1 kekw. if u aim for the non-deco skills(which u should bec they will open a lot of possible builds), go vigor and live the gamba life 👌

With this new info hopefully I'll get a earplugs 5, frostcraft 3 talisman with 3,2,1 jewel slots

I hopped on today after months of not playing and my first roll of the new talisman system gave me a Dragonheart 4, Crit Boost 2 with a 3 and a 1 slot lol

Reload Speed and Recoil Down being able to roll 3 makes gunner very happy.

The qurio melding is broken like got powder mantle lvl 2 with it don’t need to farm risen teostra that’s perfect for endgame

I love you guys, but I really wish we had the POV of this stuff for builds that don't actually need frostcraft (hammer, IG, Switchaxe, etc.) IG doesn't sheathe much, and neither does Swaxe or Hammer. So then what would be the god-tier talisman for those who don't use or need Frostcraft?

Xbox player here trying to work out what to do when the final update drops in a month. I wasnt sure if powder mantle was available and now i know what to do....... grind out AS MANY monster parts as possible defore this update drops. The goal is simply a powder mantle 3. Any extra is a bonus! This update cant come fast enough for console players!

I don’t believe Josh got that talisman legitimately already. On pc you can make a talisman look legit and be within the legal standings, I also understand he wants to get out “the best Greatsword build video” asap. So yes it’s a legal talisman within what the game can legally do but I do not believe it’s 100% legit. That’s impossibly good on like day 2 of the update being out.

Josh: this system feels like legal cheating He was so true.
