    Yuzuru's quad toe is obviously the best because his landings are smooth and stable unlike the others that move their torso and have shaky landing foot, also he has most beautiful and tight air position. Joubert, Lambiel and Hanyu's jumps look like the highest to me. Plushenko and Yagudin's 4-3-3 4-3-2 combos are to die for! I don't see anyone these days doing this combo, it looks magnificent

    +U Minji with the new judging system it's not worth doing combinations like that at the beginning of the program.

    +U Minji We forget about Nathan Chen's quads...FOUR in one FS at Nationals. I don't think too many skaters are as straight in the air as Nathan. His second quad looks so easy that he looks like he is doing a double...perfectly straight in the air and landing standing perfectly straight with the proper rotation and edges. I also was impressed by Jin's 2 final quads in the 2nd 1/2 of his program. He makes them easily and looks like he may add a fifth quad considering he can do a quad lutz, a quad Sal, a quad toe and a quad loop. IMO, he can only get on the podium if he changes all his triples to quads. If he does that. Do the scoring system allow all the triples to be changed into quads. I think he can do it. Just like Nathan, it seems as if he prefers quads to a triple axel. They both do not fall on quads as they do a triple axel.

    Funny to read this now that he did manage 5 at 4CC. The GOE isn't usually great on his jumps, though. Of course, he's what, 17? So as long as he doesn't wear his body out with the insane number of quads there's plenty of room for improvement. But I find it hilarious how he does quads no problem, but still has issues with the 3A, the "easiest" jump of the lot.

    Axel is very different from all other jumps, that's why some skaters struggle with it. Another examples are Lambiel or Patrick Chan. If I remember correctly there was only one season when Lambiel landed most of the Axel attempts. It's crazy, he would pop or fall on the Axel but then land two beautiful quads.

    No Javier Fernandez?? He consistently lands both 4T and 4S in competitions. Also, "Yazuru" lol I think Yuzuru's 4T is the smoothest of any skater I've seen. When he lands it, it looks effortless. But, recently he hasn't been very consistent with it, and he can't jump it in combination yet. So I wouldn't consider him one of the best quad jumpers in the game YET, but I would say that he definitely has the potential to become the ABSOLUTE best, given his beautiful technique, if he can increase his consistency.

  • @gdfhnt

    @gdfhnt

    9 жыл бұрын

    KaikiTsuki49 Javier Fernandez's 4S in my opinion is better than his 4T - and it is actually why he jumps Sal in the Short program. For that reason I didn't add him to this compilation of the best Quad Toe's. But surely he is one of the best 4 Sal jumpers of all time. About Yuzuru - he definitely deserved to be in this compilation. He already landed a lot of 4's in his carrier and he have a good % of the landed ones. He did struggle with 4 Toe this season, but it's only because of the injuries he had to face - it doesn't mean that it is not consistent. I mean, just look at the Toe that he did this season at Final Grand Prix in the short - it's just perfect, it can't be any better than that.

    KaikiTsuki49 Just to add, Hanyu ws landing 4T-3T and 4T-3A combinations already when he was 15. He is not putting quad combo because of his layout construction that he moves all combinations to 2nd half to get more points :)

    Daniil Timin Oh - I have no doubt he deserves to be in this compilation... so I probably shouldn't have said he's not one of the best jumpers xD What I'm saying is that his consistency probably isn't up there with the best yet. I completely forgot that this compilation was only for 4T, not for all quads haha

    Many of Yuzu's quads and jumps are perfect, and definitely many of his quad toes. He should be getting +3's (up to 2018 when it was changed to +5 highest) and after 2018, +5's. When his jumps are perfect, which many of the time they are, he should get +5.

    1.Evgeni Plushenko 2.Yuzuru Hanyu 3. Brian Joubert and Patrick Chen Yuzuru Hanyu has got good speed in his quads and his landings are beautiful, but I feel Plushenko is the best. Plushy's quads are massive, clean landing and he always tries new and difficult combinations. Also there are very few occasions where he had to touch down, the quads are perfectly clean. Given that he is more tall and well built than hanyu, it takes him more strength to go into the quads.Since hanyu is skinnier, he can easily gain speed and height of the jump. Overall, as a skater Evgeni is the most amazing skater in History.

    Lambiel's rotation axis gets totally off before landing. Watching this in 2023 ofc, Patrick and Yuzu are the bests. Even Plushenko's body posture looks weird when you look at Hanyu rotating straight like he's pulled upwards with a string. I do not see anybody else among the current skaters who can get even close to that quality. He was born to skate. Perfect aesthetics, combined with perfect technique.
