Free food that you had in golden temple was just offering which you receive. The main free food(community lunch/lungar) is outside of the right side main gate, where you get dal(lentils)and other cooked vegetables with flat breed. I have seen a lot of travellers considering that offering is free food/ community lunch.

this place has most tastiest food in the world. italian and mexican food only get called better because they are famous and they have lot of tourists
