I learned from a local grower here that does the giant competition pumpkins. And we also do float races where you sit in the pumpkin down the river it's loads of fun. Anyway you're supposed to cut the pumpkin on the bottom. It's easier to get the seeds out and if you carve it and set it on the porch you always have a flat surface for your candle and you never have to worry about the lid being in the right spot because you just throw it away.

Since you talk so much about the different flavors that Everglades offers you should do a hunting and or fishing video with Chris. He is a big hunter and fisherman. I didn't use Everglades because I couldn't find it anywhere, but I did use your method and pumpkin seeds came out awesome

I ordered some Everglades - had to order from Amazon / not available locally here in Michigan/Wisconsin. I was disappointed to see it's largely flavored by MSG (monosodium glutamate) w/ some garlic, onion & sugar. My favorite discovery for seasoning is the MESQUITE seasoning that COSTCO stores sell (i.e., Kirkland product line). Great, slightly smoky flavor.

hey there Mark, I've spoke to several nutritionists and they all say MSG is not a problem, unless your allergic to it. Everglades makes a low sodium, msg free spice as well, I have never tried it though...
