I actually use a glow in the dark balloon because they stay the whole night and you can pick and colour

Thank you, I never would have thought of using a knife to carve a pumpkin, and drawing the shape of the eyes and mouth right on the pumpkin, simply genius. These are the procedures that separate the Pros from the Amateurs.

Nice, thanks! I've always fancied myself as the creative type. But when it comes to carving pumpkins, they always look terrible. It should be simple enough- but when rudimentary techniques aren't applied, you can't expect to achieve the desired results. For all the years I've been unsatisfied with my work, this is actually the first video I've seen on the topic! I have two huge pumpkins and that I look forward to carving- right after I do all my chores and tend to my livestock ❤

Get a carving kit from the Halloween store. I'm pretty sure grocery stores have the kit too during Halloween. Makes it much easier.

I have a thick gutty pumpkin I’m carving right now. The guts are so hard to get out!

I found this video very useful, so thank you. But I learned not too long ago, that if you cut the pumpkin from the bottom, it lasts longer and it's easier to put on top of a candle rather than picking the candle up and risking your hand getting caught on fire. Just thought that might help so people out 😌

I recently heard that too. I must try. Apparently if you use Vaseline on the exposed sections too, it lasts longer.
