You can use any one-sided tape on the back of paper instead of the front if you make the strip of tape into a loop with the sticky side out, and then just adhere it to the back of the paper and the wall instead of the front of the paper. That'll make the Wall-Safe tape even less visually disruptive. 🥳

Good stuff Leila! Very insightful! Love your studio. Those double doors looking out on such a beautiful garden is awesome! That has to help your mind set when painting. Once again, thanks for your ideas with something as simple as sticky stuff...😄

Alien tape - sticks just fine, never try to remove it unless you want to wreck everything ;p Edit : It's like the scotch clear mount product

Haha so funny I googled it and the clear mount came up among the images 🤣 yea it’s definitely a strong tape and can be really useful but if you are worried about your walls I wouldn’t use it on wallpaper or old painted surface. It was really sticky. Could be really good on a boat if you wanna keep things from moving and falling over.

An important thing to know about any type of sticky tape (or similar): The strength depends on the amount of force you press with, the time and temperature. The more you press, the stronger the connection will be. Also, the full strength will come after a few hours or days. A warmer environment can speed this up considerably.

I found out recently that you can buy magnetic wallpaper which might be worth considering. I think it doubles as a whiteboard for use with erasable marker pens.

I just looked it up. It does exist!! I love the idea , it’s quite expensive though. Especially if you want to cover a wall or two , around a $100 for a square meter. Thanks for letting me know about it ❤️

I would very much not recommend white or blue tack for hanging posters. I've had some posters on my walls for many years now, and whatever adhesive is in them has seeped into my posters. There are four gross, wet-looking dots at the corners of each of them, and the discoloration do ruin the look of them, regardless of color. I've also used tacks before, but I'd rather not ruin the posters and walls by putting holes in them. I'm gonna be moving soon so I was looking for an alternative for the myriad of posters I've gotten since then. I'm definitely going to look into the low-tack mounting tape and wall-safe tape options, and just make little loops of them to put behind the posters. awesome that they don't seem to damage the walls either, solely paint or drywall. thank you so much for this awesome video!!!

Sorry to hear about your posters being ruined 😞 Yes I’ve been using the wall safe tape since I’ve made the video and I still really like it. I have things hanging with it for months and it comes off clean both paper and wall. At least that’s my experience with it. 😊

Howdy Flower : - Hope you're doing alright down there...... Certainly looking healthy. An interesting episode this month, I'm sure not what us fans in KZreadland were expecting??!, but - certainly art-related, and a commonly used by most of us product(s). I bet I've been through many pounds/kilos of Blutack in my life? (though converted to Whitetack a good few years ago....). Sure, it leaves a greasy mark on both the hung article + the wall, but as you say you can reuse it many many times, until it gets too full of dust and/or flecks of dry paint etc., but I can buy a pack of it for £1 at the bargain store, and : - It's waaay less damaging than using drawing pins - **all we had to use up till the 1980's?** (yes, I was there as a kid!) - and I'm remembering that "lovely" feeling of pushing cheap drawing pins into a plaster wall, and the pin breaking off the thumb plate and sticking right into your thumb!!. The good old days - Allegedly?? (!). Wall Safe tape is around £4 to £5 here in the U.K, I've just checked it out, and although a lot more than blu/white tack (and I doubt it is re-useable?) - seems like a great modern-day equivalent to the 2 above mentioned alternatives. I'll stick - literally! - with what I'm used to though, it's useful for many other things other than wall hanging..... I sometimes use a blob of whitetack to hold electronic parts that I'm soldering for instance, it's like a 3rd hand.....?. Anyway, All the very best Chuck, and - keep it creative (as always??). Bye, Nick.

I've filmed this one months ago. I needed to test things out for myself and thought I may as well film it as someone else might be wondering too. I was also surprised how well blue and white tacks held up against many others. I guess it also depends how careful you want to be with posters/art and walls as well. I'm still using that roll of Wallsafe so it's lasting quite well! :)

Yes that's a good product too and I do use it when necessary in my home and studio but it's a bit tricky to use with paper art and you are absolutely correct too expensive. 😊 Thanks for thinking of that
