Wow, that's cool. I have never heard of this stuff before!
I was surprised I haven’t either even thought it’s not a new product
I can see this being useful for a Stephen Gammell style
Absolutely!!
I never laughed so hard at a video thumbnail before… also on a more serious note, thank you for sharing your beautiful art & for your lovely video teachings. I enjoy watching & find that we’d totally get a long like childhood friends by way of your personality & sense of humor. 🌷❣️✨😌🤗
I'm so glad you've enjoyed the video!! 😊
Hey Leila : - A Real "Curve-Ball" Subject/Material This Upload??!...... And, you sound a bit like a kid with a brand new toy = Legit Excited (nice to see + hear!!). This reminds me of 2 things straight away - one of 'em from my hedonistic "rock + roll" past in the 90's. Good luck taking it through airport customs, as - It looks just like Pakistani Hashish !..... the same soft and mushy texture, and exactly the same colour. Obviously, the smell of it would luckily put Mr./Mrs. customs officer at ease (!!). And, I make a custom-mixed lubricant for tuning air rifles - a putty, not a grease - by mixing a very fine mineral powder very similar to graphite called molybdenum, with a small amount of already black "standard" grease : - Like you wisely did = If you handle it without gloves on, it's just a total disaster..... It gets in your pores and under nails, and you look like a right tramp for about a week - however much you wash your hands!!!. Both are harmless, but - just blacker than black (Lamp Black, Mars Black etc. etc.). It's Just Lovely To See A Very Experienced Artist Having Genuine Fun. Indeed as you said, your scope for unique and "one off" patterns and shapes is literally endless. Cool Stuff. Thanks as always Chuck - Great to have you on The 'Tube...... Nick x
Haha yes ‘rock and roll’ that’s a really good way to describe this material 😆 I didn’t really know what to expect from this and got it because it looked interesting and was on special 😊 the messiness of it is not the best thing but it does seem to wash out quite well. Most art materials are messy so I guess I’m used to it now. Glad you’re enjoying the videos!
Wow, a graphite sausage! I tried the liquid charcoal a number of years ago but it was super $$ This seems like it would go a long way
I have a feeling that if you work on super large sketches you might go through it but if you are working on A3 side drawings it will last for a long time.
@@LeilaAtaya Yeah a4/a3 mostly, seems like so much scope for organic texture like you did with the rocks, almost feel like it could work in the same way a base layer would for painting then you can be more refined on top
@@hty624 it would work very well for that. You could even paint over it.
Underrated artist 🔥
Howdy Friend : - Not Underrated By Her Followers On Here!. Just a bit of a crime she doesn't have 150,000 subscribers instead of 15,000??. And, if **anyone** "under-rates" her acrylic pieces/commissions in particular? = They've obviously got zero taste or appreciation of a very special talent. Cheers - wherever you are.....
❤️
Wow really cool material, can’t wait to try it out in class! ✍️
This stuff really sucks you in. It’s almost like everything just disappears 😄
What a cool material! Always the best veedeos, thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it! 😆
Каждое видео-шедевр, всегда познавательно, интересно, возникает желание попробовать самому, даже если работаешь в другой технике.благодарность от зрителей ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
You are so very welcome!!!
Thanks Leila for this new and a very interesting video ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Glad you enjoyed it!

Once again, great stuff Leila! I have found paper is so important for watercolor painting. I have been using cold press 300 gsm / 140 lb. from Arches. A bit pricey but good stuff. Thank you Leila, I've learned much from your tutorials. Watch out for that Kiwi weather...
It’s a very good paper. I get it in sheets and then cut to size vs archers pads that way it’s cheaper 😊 enjoy painting
I've never painted an apple with watercolors before so I used this video for a little painting session. I followed the tutorial with some cheap Gansai paints and cheap paper. Since I only wanted to do a short painting session, it wasn't much that I was expecting. There was no time to think about the exact color choice, wait for it to dry or pay attention to every detail. My apple was finished just before the end of the tutorial. I skipped the finishing touches. What can I say, I love my apple 🥰 It's more of an old wrinkled apple but it has character and the more I look at it the more I like it. But the best thing about it is the shadow, it turned out just perfect. This spontaneous short painting session was wonderfully relaxing and a great experience for me, completely outside of my comfort zone. Thank you very much 🤗🤗🤗 Btw it took me more time to write this comment than to paint the apple 😂😂😂
You are wonderful!! Thank you 😊
Hey Leila : - 2 uploads in fairly quick succession..... Good Effort. I like the new "overhead" camera angle at the beginning - and very clever how you set in a zoom function at the same time, you must have a decent/high spec. video camera??. The apple you've painted looks like it's been polished, maybe on the upper leg of a pair of trousers? - Something I'm sure people still do before eating it, though I've never seen anyone do this for decades..... I never saw the point of such an action, **it doesnt make them taste any better?!**. Perfect timing to find a new video from you = I'm just prepping for bed, it being 1.50 a.m in England. I loved the hail/thunder storm "featuring" too : - hearing it on the roof/ground when you're warm and dry in a house is a super-"grounded" and alive feeling??, being in a tent when this comes from the heavens is even more cosy and protected-a-sensation..... Thanks Chuck, and - all the best to you as always..... Bye, Nick. P.S : - Glad To See Your Glorious Head Of Hair Hasn't Been Cut - yet anyway (I won't hold it against you if/when you do!!).
I did not expect for the weather to change so rapidly when I began filming. I guess that makes the unintentional part of the ASMR even more unintentional 🤣 hope you are having a good day!!
Wow... To be painting an 🍎 Apple with Thunder and Lightning outside. Ultimare therapy ❤
😆unintentional is my motto 😂
Yum 😋 👏

Can I ask what is the tape that you used for the demonstration fish piece (brand, type?)? I do love the video in general and love granulation and will definitely be using it more! Thank you
It's the one that's sold in my local art shop: WASHI MASKING TAPE DELICATE from Tape-spec. You might have a different brand with the same effect in your local store so just ask the shop assistants :)
You do beautiful work but in order to really learn are you saying on patreon that we would have to pay 100.00 a month? The 14.00 a month doesn't speak about teaching anything nor do the lower selections. Am I reading this correctly ?
It depends on what kind of teaching you’d like to receive. If you want a face to face , one on one learning session with me then it’s 100 for a class. If you’d like to learn through videos and ask questions through messages then I’d say $8 a month is the one to go for. If you’d like to be able to win prizes then go for a 14 a month. There’s a $2 a month too but that gives you access to posts and you can still ask questions. There should be an introduction video but it’s quite old- there are new things now as well like feedback videos and more games etc.
Really helpful loce your voice so soothing 😇
😊 thank you
Ahh those waves are so dreamy <3
So happy that you like it 😀
The eye is a little big, no?
Hm…🤔 … to me it looks fine for this kind of animal but you can do whatever size you’d like in your sketch, remember tutorials are just a jump start for your own creativity 🙂
@@LeilaAtaya ok
Thank you for this wonderful lesson. Alex
You are so very welcome 😊
It always impresses me how you apply seemingly random strokes in the beginning phases, that come together so smoothly and create a scene. Very impressive final result. Really enjoy these videos.
That's why it's so important to see the drawing steps before trying out a new subject :) So glad you are enjoying the videos! Thank you !
Your voice is very relaxing. I like to play your videos in the background when I nap.
Glad you like them!
..... Touche My Friend : - me too, I dont think I've ever found a nicer, more relaxing voice (and accent) on KZread. Maybe I'm a bit weird/"wired up" wrong (?!), But : try listenening to her tutorials on 0.75 speed = It's Even More Relaxing!. All The Best, Nick.
I LOOOVE YOU~! I watch you do traditional art while I'm doing digital art. It's like have a good friend artist right next to me 😊
That's so nice!! I'm glad you're enjoying the videos ☺
Thanks!:)
😊
Love this! The final result reminded me of looking at a black and white photograph of the atlantic ocean 😍 Great tutorial Leila
Glad you liked it 😀
Beautifully done
Thank you 😊

Once again you out do yourself Leila! Love your artistry and talent... And your wonderful soothing voice should be lauded. Keep up the great work my friend 👍
Thank you so much 😊
Hey Flower : - A Great Start To The Weekend !...... It's always a nice treat to find a fresh upload from you, I don't want "notifications" a new one is up - as it's not as pleasant a surprise as physically checking (?!). I love watching waves moving from the land/edge - It's almost hypnotising??. Your picture also reminds me of seeing mountain ranges from an aircraft window?, with the clouds resting in between the peaks??. There was a "scratch" in the paper - near centre - up until about half way through the video..... "That's Going To Be Hard To Remove/Cover Up" I thought..... But, of course with you being a Pro = not an issue at all to get rid of....!. Hope all's well down there, the U.K is **eventually** warming up - we're due 22 degrees and sunshine all day today : - Just a shame I'm not visiting the seaside !!. Bye Leila - Nick.
Glad you liked the video 😊 the scratch was most likely a pencil mark and just got blurred over time 😄
At 8 in the morning I check my notifications and read "How to drink water" and then I get thirsty.
😂😂😂 that’s a good one
Such knowledgeable video, thanks Leila. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you :)
Прекрасное видео Лейла, с благодарностью❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I sometimes like shading softened graphite with a moistened brush.
That’s a lovely technique 😊
Thank u so much ❤
You're so welcome 😊
just in time, today i ordered a pallet with these paints & now i have some tips on how to use them. i love your feathers! the best i have ever seen, thanks so much for sharing! 💖
Thank you :) I might need to do more feather tutorials by the sound of things ;)
Thanks Leila! in one sentence, one point perspective is, when in a scenary everything is coming together and becoming small at one single point, is one point perspective!
😆
39:21 that should never be the gole
😂 haha
These are great ideas! I love the feather and the bonus the most.❤️thank you.
You are so welcome ❤️
fantastic! I will be learning from you from this day forward...
