I did a peel and stick floor in my kitchen.. I got the peel and stick from Lowes on clearance for under $100 (My kitchen is around 15x20 ft). I own my house, so I was able to get groutable peel and stick and grout it. Obviously that is more permanent so not good for renting, but I laid the tiles in a herringbone pattern and it is seriously SO nice looking. It is my favorite project I've ever done on my house!

My favorite window coverings are the peel and stick prism effect… They look great, and make rainbows all over your room. If you don’t want to do the whole window, you can just cut out a little square or Star or any shape you like and stick it on the window and it’ll still make rainbows!

Also an over 60 Grandma home owner...lol, I have the frosted privacy stuff on some of my windows (from Ace Hardware as my small town doesn't have many stores). These still let a lot of light in, and heat in summer. So on my back dining room door I also covered it with contact paper in the wood design as my wooden screen didn't block the top portion and was a pain to keep moving to access the door. I also used a print contact paper to cover my bathroom window. This still lets some light in, gives me not only privacy but seems to open up the bathroom since I no longer need to hang a curtain (folds take up a small space) and I can use the ledge to decorate with candles.

I live in Florida, where moisture & mold have to be considered with any product I want to try. We had a tidal surge after the last hurricane. Within 2 days, mold made it necessary to remove the bottom half of the walls. We don't use a lot of carpet because of the storms and water that's always a threat. Peel & Stick flooring is a blessing for getting the floors done and moving on to the next thing. This video has been an education for me; and I already knew a lot. Thank you so much for the effort & good taste you obviously put into your work.

I liked your idea of using a shower curtain as a barrier to the peel and stick flooring so you can remove it easily. Have you tried using a moisture barrier underlayment? Home Depot sells it SUPER cheap and it's literally just a roll of black plastic so there wouldn't be a section with holes in it for shower curtain rings. Also, how did you seal around areas like the bathtub? The only thing holding me back from this is the idea of not sealing it there and water splashing down in between the bathtub and the now "floating" floor. . . but I don't want to use an actual sealer there in an apt.

Just found your channel. Thanks for the renter friendly advice!. My previous apartment was on the first floor. I had French doors and both bedroom windows faced the parking lot with a side window near the sidewalk. Privacy film was a game changer!! I initially purchased a roll from Joanns. We LOVE using the wallpaper. White walls get so boring after awhile. I didn't know about the border stickers or molding. Excited to check them out and see what I can do to the next house. It's not a peel and stick, but you can also do a floating laminate wood floor. I use command strips to "glue" down the floor transition piece for our apartment and it's been amazing. Wasn't cheap, but I can take it back up and use it again.

So glad I ran across your video. I live in an apartment that faces the parking lot on the first floor and I always feel like everyone is looking in my apartment when I have the blinds open. I have even gone out and know they can see in. The privacy film was something I had not thought of in the past. I really appreciate that solution. This was a great video. I will watch more. Great ideas!

OMG, you are a life saver. I wanted to redo my office with wall paper but b/c it's textured, I was told it wouldn't stay. I definitely going to look for this poly wall at my local Lowes. This seems so much quicker than smoothing out the wall. Thank you sooo much!!

Hey Wayna Hey! 👋I love 💕your videos, you are so helpful. I am a homeowner, your hacks for renters have helped me gain the confidence to tackle small projects around my home without regret or fear. So, I have already purchased the peel and stick tiles for a kitchen project, but my walls are textured. I will be purchasing the polywall panels and applying the peel and stick to that surface. Thank you and I can't wait until your next video!

Dee from Orlando! I love that you mentioned a few things I have already tried! I used a faux stone pattern peel n stick wallpaper as backsplash under my cupboards and behind my sink and stove. It so transformed my rental! I'm definitely going to try the peel and stick moulding as well as a contact paper cover for my bathroom cabinet/ sink area. A great product by 3M is their curtain rod holders! I love in a duplex built in 1984... The walls don't hold curtain rod hardware well at all... But Command did the trick! Thank you again for your great tips!!

Hi, Wayna. Another great, informative video. I really like and appreciate this is a compilation of all your favorites, recommendations and products and design ideas you've used in the past. I really appreciate that you've scoured Amazon and the big box stores for what you recommend and what is the best value. You really do a great service to renters, but also to home owners. I own; but I have absolutely zero design ingenuity or creativity. I know what I like and what I admire in decor (your design aesthetic is On Point👍), I just have no energy, and that unfortunately extends to any creativity. All of your videos are a great source of knowledge and recommendations for when I ever eventually try to zazz up my space. Thank you, and much love and admiration from Louisville, Kentucky. ❤
