I tried this app last night for the very first time. I did not have the slightest clue how to do this but I did read some tips before scanning. This was very easy to do for someone who did not have any previous knowledge about floorpans. I'm getting into real estate photography and was thinking of using this as an add on service and after trying it, it will definitely be something worth adding to the list. I was surprised even at the accuracy of the dimensions provided.

Great video! I like to rewatch it if I haven't done a scan in a while! It would be nice to have a video of a more complex property. Like for example a couple of separate buildings, a barn or additional garage with a studio apartment above it! Thanks again for all the very imformative videos!!

how about the porches decks etc .. needs to be scanned? Also there is an order top to bottom.? so you fully scan one floor the you go to the next? there are any system confusion if you scan a place twice (like a hallway or a room while you walk to the staircase)? like go from the already scanned room to the staircase to continue with the next floor?

Hi, You need to scan everything from the property that you would like to have displayed on the floor plan in one single scan, including floors, garage, decks, porches, detached areas, etc. We advise you to start from the bottom and work your way up. Scan fully one floor then move to another one. It’s better to plan a logical path before scanning so you can avoid walking randomly or scanning one area multiple times. Hi, after finish scanning, when you click on the order, you will see the section "review scan" which shows the recorded video.

Where is the final floor plan created from this? It seems that. you missed showing all the walls, eg utility rooms as well as some angles of rooms and also some doors weren't open? How do you create the depth of whats behind a door? Please can you post the finished plan?

Hi, I was just wondering if that one bathroom window you missed scanning on the second floor can be added after the fact and could one use a head lamp if a room has no window and artificial light at all?

New to Cubicasa, my scanning doesn't show up the grid lines that yours does?

Does the upload return the floor plan ? Is the floor plan divided by floor 1,2, etc? Do you also get a virtual tour ? Please clarify what the output would be from the upload.

You will receive the floor plan within 24 hours and it will include all floors you have scanned. See various examples here: drive.google.com/drive/folders/12ovZynkMYe7ufpDt4DQ2rPDm3fRrIIEY If you would like a 3D video render, you can purchase it from the same scan (make sure to select the 3D option before submitting). I don’t see the mesh overlay when scanning with my Samsung Note 9. Is that a setting I can enable, or is it only available with select cameras (like total sq ft)?

What happens if you accidentally stop recording or if you must have a break? Is there a pause feature or a recovery feature? Or do you have to start all over again?

Accidentally stopping recording is a lot less likely now that we’ve added a confirmation dialog (“Are you sure you want to end this scan?“) in versions 2.3 and up.

noticed you didn’t scan any of the smaller closets. How do those get drawn in if they are not scanned?

What happens if you get the message "we lost track of your phone" or something similar to this message? Do we have to restart the scan from the beginning? Thanks for the video.

Unfortunately, you need to rescan from the beginning when seeing that error. Please avoid these actions while scanning: - Sudden changes in camera exposure (e.g. bright sunlight hitting the camera lens) - Blank walls and surfaces without detail - Poor lighting conditions - Excessive motion of the device - Opening doors on camera - Scanning too close to objects

what do you do when there is a LOT of clutter in a house where the bottom of the window or the furniture blocks the floor?

You should try to scan the room as best as you can and walk around the baseboard, if that is not possible due to the amount of clutter, we might not receive enough data and won't be able to process it.

I just tried it and I did not see any of the scales shown here over the areas, why is that? next, i reviewed the video and it just looked like a normal recording, again not scaling over the area. Now it reads sketch pending..will it include the measurements?

The green mess can be shown only for LiDAR devices. However, other phones still can provide data normally. We provide floor plans with and without measurement. You will receive an email when the order is ready.

Start scanning on the lowest floor and work your way upwards. We recommend you start from the entrance, but do whatever works best for the building you are scanning. Scan one floor completely before moving to the next. Do not go back and forth between floors during the scan. Please, make sure you scan the whole property (including all floors and any detached garage/porch) in one scan. I see you are scanning by the clock and not against the clock as we have been trained, please advice, whats the difference ?

Yes, please make sure you scan the entire property in one scan, including all floors and any detached building. You can walk outside and continue scanning. Sunlight does not affect the scanning process. If it’s dark outside, we recommend that you use lights: www.cubi.casa/support/scanning/what-if-there-is-a-dark-area/

I was scanning a large 13,000 SF home and about 75 perfect of the way it lost where I was and it stopped. I wish you could scan floor and save it.

@@cubicasa4133 Apparently it had stopped when I stopped at a door that was closed and when I opened it, it didn't know where it was. It does the same thing if the room is too dark. I did finally get it to work but it would be nice if the user could stop after five minutes and put three videos together.

Thank you for watching! While the ceiling and wall intersections may lack the items and furniture that can get in the way, there are a few reasons it's less desirable for consistent capture. One reason is the distance, as you may have greater risk of not getting close enough to critical walls to accurately capture the distance. The other is actually the lack of furniture or distinguishing features! Sometimes, when the technology has nothing to use to contextualize the space, it can be harder for it to understand where it's at. Scanning the floor gives more details that help it more easily track the location and distance.

@@cubicasa4133 Show all paid options. I've seen demo videos with your product and everything costs money except for the simple floor plan. Moreover , a broker that I know said the app sometimes is way off on the measurements.
