I’m going there in August

I’m planning my first ever trip(solo) rn and I have everything booked but I’m terrified! Excited, but terrified nonetheless lol. I’m going cross country but I think for next trip im definitely gonna need to pig out in New Orleans! Video was super helpful and encouraging

@@sayetazonen4995 It was AMAZING! I ended up getting the tsa precheck like you suggested so that was recycled helpful. And I felt way more safe and secure than I though I would being alone. I’m already planning my next trip!

I live in the UK and I'm taking my first ever solo trip this summer to ...NYC! It was actually booked for 2020, but we all know how that panned out. I've been 3 times before, quite a few years ago, with other people but I'm really looking forward to being able to do exactly what I want/when I want. I'm then taking the train to Boston and spending a few days there. Chicago and San Francisco are on the list for the future. For any of your non-British viewers wondering, I can confirm that London is also a perfect city for a solo visit.

I agree with you on NYC! The opportunity for choice is what makes NYC attractive! Art, food from so many cultures, etc. I wouldn't recommend it as a first destination for a solo woman traveler if they aren't used to big cities. It could be overwhelming. But hey if they are up for an adventure, go for it! And I love Portland, Maine!!! I went for a travel conference and was highly impressed!

I’m planing on going on a solo trip to Nashville, TN. I already made a pretty nice list of things to do, that I find safe and fun for a single woman. I initially wanted to go on this trip with my sister, but I don't think I will now. I love her, but we tend to argue a lot. The last two trips we went on she almost ruined it with her constant arguing. She never seems to help plan any of the activities, but will criticize my ideas.... Plus she wants to spend most of the trip shopping, which wastes a lot of time and it’s something we can do locally. Sorry I ended up venting... lol Good video btw

I'm from Denmark and I'm gonna fly into Seattle this Summer and explore Washington and maybe parts of Oregon. Last year, I solo travelled around the US and stayed in Little Rock, Arkansas as well as San Francisco and Northern California!

Oh, yay! I mean the weather is... volatile... but June/July/August are definitely the best months because of the weather. Everybody's happy, the city looks nicer (I'm specifically thinking about Copenhagen here) and way more stuff is happening. Since it's not a super popular place for tourists, it doesn't get super crowded even though it's summer. Otherwise, spring can also be nice like May, but it can still be a bit cold and windy! :) @@magiemay1

I've been to the USA many times and I avoid cities like New York, Los Angeles and Houston. Mostly because I only speak English. Louisville or Nashville could be fun, but my favourites are Cheyenne and Anchorage. I love the "Can Do" attitude of the locals..

Hey Kim, was there a lot of parking in Louisville? It doesn’t seem very walkable like New York or Chicago for example so if I get a rental car for exploring, just wondering if I’ll have an easy time finding parking spots

Hiiii!! I don’t remember parking being a big issue when I was there. You’re right, it’s not as walkable as say New York so I found it helpful to have a car. But the parking wasn’t a big issue for me. We did have to pay for parking at the hotel but there was plenty of parking at the restaurants and shops. We stayed downtown. Hope this helps!! Safe travels! 😂

I've always wanted to go to Maine. never thought about going solo... I'm from SoCal, I think San Diego or really any beach city is a good solo trip. I'm taking my first solo trip to Savannah next month for my bday. I'm nervous but super excited 😆

I am turning 30 this year and i badly want to do a solo trip , but unfortunately i do not have a driving license (working on it). Any suggestions where there is good public transportation connecting all top tourist sights? Thanks in advance :) btw i live in SFO so except that, i have NY in my list. Any other suggestions pls?

Hi there! Yay! Congrats! I love that you want to do that for your 30th! Such a fun idea. I'm hoping others can also chime in with their suggestions. But mine would be, DC, Chicago, or Seattle. I would also consider cities that are a bit smaller and not so spread out. They maybe don't have the best public transportation but everything is so close that taking an Uber (if you feel comfortable) won't be too expensive. I loved Tucson and Phoenix for that. I also loved Boise for that reason too. Hope these helped! 💕

I’m from Columbia, sc and I think it is safe and easy to navigate. It’s the capital so there’s some history to take in. It could be a good place to solo travel. I’m considering Sante de for my first trip

I’m from DC and I think it’s similar to San Francisco. There’s a lot to do, much of it is free, including the zoo and museums. I’m just tired of here and want to live somewhere else lol. Thanks for the video!
