To me, East Maui, Hana, is the true Hawaii. No Fast food, one hotel, best beaches, best weather, best scenery by far. Aloha!

I completely agree, we just got back from spending a few days there and it's amazing. I just wouldn't recommend for people to move there. Aloha!

How many golf courses are on Maui and where are they located?

Hey great question! I know there are at least a dozen sprinkled around the island, google says 14 :) There are several great courses in Wailea, the Maui Nui Golf Club in Kihei, Waiehu Municipal Course near Kahului, the private Maui Country Club on the north shore, the Pukalani course Upcountry, Kaanapali Royal, and the famous PGA course at the Kapalua Plantation, plus a few others. Hope that helps!
