    My Ceat stock tyre I still using it. Its been 3 years and 37k km I have not yet changed it I am using xpulse 200. It seems fine to me, but I might be completely wrong. However I am going to change now, but when asked to service center guy they said you can change it post rain. Let me know if i am wrong or how is it. This is my first bike.

    I recommend you change it before monsoon as rainy conditions require maximum wet grip from the tyres.

    @@AbhishekDaniel i have stock ceat tyres on xpulse the the tyres started skidding like crazy on wet roads after just hitting 10k kms. I am looking to change it but confused between MRF and Maxxis, have rode KTM 250 adv with MRF Mogrip as stock tyres, it gave good riding and braking confidence, not sure about Maxxis

  • @AbhishekDaniel

    @AbhishekDaniel

    2 ай бұрын

    @@tabishalam2368 First of all Xpulse is lighter than the ADV and hence the traction while braking will be less. Secondly KTM has much better brakes and ABS calibration so you cannot compare the braking between KTM and Xoulse. if you are looking for better grip, go for soft compound tyres like Maxxis, Reise or Ceat. MRF is hard compound. It'll give you double the life but wet grip will be less than the soft compound ones.

    @@AbhishekDaniel Quite a fair point. So ultimately what tyre brand would you suggest for Xpulse? I mostly ride on road with a little bit of off-roading, what tyre brand offers the best braking and cornering confidence?

  • @AbhishekDaniel

    @AbhishekDaniel

    2 ай бұрын

    @@tabishalam2368 In my experience with the Himalayan, I found the Maxxis Maxxplore to have the best grip on road and decent off-road grip too with a good amount of braking and cornering performance. Better than Ceat and MRF for sure. I'm trying out the Reise TourR tyres now and they seem to be good but I'm not sure about the long term review. I've just ridden under 1000kms with that. I recommend Maxxis. Try it out.

    @@sanjaygautam2572 Tyre burst can happen with any tyre if not properly maintained or if ridden beyond their life. I’ve heard instances where it has happened with MRF and Ceat tyres also. Doesn’t mean that all these companies are bad. And no tyre is puncture proof or burst proof.
