​@@bigrudd9346he's "bombing" with most of the audience who don't get it, that's why they're silent. They only start applauding later because the assume they heard something funny and think they're supposed to clap. Gilbert Gottfried had the same type of humor.

@@apauln All these jokes came from a very old speech joke book. They all knew this, that is the reason they are laughing so hard is because they know where the joke are from. That is why is reacting that way to the "well" joke. Knowing that and knowing he is adding bits to it makes it funny.

I think Norm may actually be one of the sweetest individuals to have ever existed. That moment between him and Saget was totally him.

Anyone notice how half of the first roast group is now gone. All before their time too. Norm, Greg, Gilbert, Bob... All were comedic legends.

Norm's silence after the birds joke, like demanding the missing applause, is part of what made him legendary. I love how the biggest comics were the ones laughing the hardest at his jokes. Rest in peace.

I hadn't seen Pete's set before, like you said he absolutely killed. I knew he did stand up but tbh I only knew him as the kid that occasionally showed up on Weekend Update and the background of SNL sketches.

Norms stare down after his jokes had me rolling.

Norm getting emotional at the end there killed me inside.

Norm. I love how he just pulls back the curtain on comedy...goes way beyond where anyone else would go, and it seems like only Saget and Gilbert were laughing. So much under-appreciated comedy lost in such a short time.

The most stand out set on here (imo) , is Chris Redds set. All i heard leading up to the roast was that he didnt belong up there with the legends.. yet he not only showed up, but had probably the best set of the night 👏 He deserves more props.

Norms honest compliment makes me tear up. Always. I miss him, Bob and Gilbert as if they were my real friends.

The thing I remember most about Norm's roast was Jim Norton's clueless/baffled response during and after the set. There used to be clips of what had been cut from Norm's set and Jim is clearly getting worked up about what's happening because he doesn't get it. Then of course Norm had the amazing comeback to Jim's "Henry Fonda picking blueberries" joke.
