The always late guy, who gets behind me on the way to work, would be a one man army against them.

My top 5 favorite lines from this: 1. "Slight miscalculation, they wound up in modern-day Detroit" 2. "Back in his lesser Moff Tarkin days" 3. "Hello Hello Hello hello..." 4. "R2 fell in with some bad droids" 5. "Hey hey, no stop it oh no I forgot we are easily defeated!!! we also explode"

The hello part made me want a "the 3 stooges meets the daleks" movie

I just realised, R2D2 is basically a Dalek with go-faster stripes. We still have a problem with the Daleks here in England, especially since the war between the green Daleks and the blue Daleks - the problem got worse when the council binmen started to only collect them on alternate weeks.

And, of course when the aquamarine Daleks came around there was total chaos. The Blue and Green Daleks had no idea which side they were on. Much needless Dalek blood.. or trashwater was shed, though to this day no one is quite sure which side they were actually on.

I was watching this episode and drinking soda at the same time. I reached the "hefty bag pants" part and soda went into my lungs while laughing. The laughing unfortunately did not overpowered the burning sensation and coughing.

Mikail Turkleson Rifftrax live will perform the Five Doctors soon

I've stood next to the Dalek that gets the tarpaulin thrown over it. It was given away as as part of the promotion of 'Sugarpuff's'. Original it was silver but painted red as the child who won wanted the red Dalek. The prop sold for £38,000.

I was cheering for the Daleks. :D

Wait, did he just call that Dalek Terry? Because that's the name of the guy who came up with the Daleks. Also, the policeman doesn't die. He just changes his name to Wilfred Mott.

Not only that, Cribbins was one of the actors considered to follow Jon Pertwee as the Doctor before the production finally decided upon Tom Baker. The original plan was to have the Doctor a bit more "frail" again as with William Hartnell and Sarah Jane and Harry Sullivan would handle the "action". Harry would have been the new "Ian". (Ironic as the actor's name was Ian Marter.) When Baker entered, his first series was only marginally rewritten to handle his greater stamina. Yes, I am a major Whovian nerd. Bernard Cribbins was also in the Eighth Doctor audio story "Horror of Glam Rock" from Big Finish where he played a notorious music producer named Arnold Korns. He even mentions his time doing this movie in the CD Extras.

I know this is a regular riff for them,and growing up watching the 3 stooges, and anytime 3 characters are lined up ( like at 2:00 ) and they do the "hello-hello-hello" bit I lose it. can't help myself. sorry.

So this is The Doctor vs. some Daleks ...but not really? I'm very confused

How do you get a wall to break like that at 4:20? It looks too stiff for paper, but I'd expect sugar glass or something to have more cracks. Is it just precut and then painted over so no one notices?

I assumed it was a Styrofoam wall. Just cracks apart when the dalek hit it, or maybe had some knife scoring on the other side just to make it a bit easier.

barbaro267 The two Peter Cushing films are non canon for the following reasons.#1, these films were not BBC productions, and ignored large parts of the canon of the show.#2, The canon Doctor is an alien, a Time Lord from the planet Gallifrey (his species was not given a name until 1969 and his homeworld until 1973). the Cushing Doctor is human.#3 the canon Doctor is only ever called "The Doctor" an alias he chose to describe the kind of person he wanted to be (his real name is unknown to the viewers), Cushing's Doctor's is a doctor who's last name is "Who".#4, the Canon Tardis is a mass produced, intelligent, biomechanical vehicle designed to be flown by six Time Lords. It was already out of date which The Doctor stole from storage. It is supposed to shape shift it's outer body to match it's surroundings, but got stuck in the Police Box shape at the start of the show. Cushing's Tardis was invited by Dr. Who, and was built it in the Police Box shape, for reasons never explained.#5, the canon versions of Barbra and Ian from the first film were Susan's teachers, not older sister and older sister's boyfriend. Canon Susan was a teenager and a Time Lord (technically a "Time Lady"), Barbra and Ian were human. (the TV Susan, Carole Ann Ford, is a full 13 years older than the film Susan, Roberta Tovey)Canon Susan also left the show at the end of the serial this film is based off, having fallen in love with a human resistance fighter, but Ian and Barbra continued for 20 episodes (6 story arcs). #6 Bernard Cribbins' character (the police man), was made up for this film as was Louise. Mr. Cribbins would join the tv show in 2009.

I actually saw this when it came out and it was so bad I never watched any version of Doctor Who again for many years. I also never liked the Daleks which looked to me like evil salt and pepper shakers and not scary at all.

Also laughed hard at the comment about derailing the franchise. Peter Capaldi is certainly doing a grand job at that, channeling his fanboy element into his Doctor character and being outperformed by the baddies and supporting cast, and as for that irritating Clara . . .

Dr. Who...the hell cares. It's a crappy movie when your main villains are aliens dressed in black trash bags and robots are really garbage cans with toilet plungers for arms operated on motor scooters.
