This to me is the strength of this draft. CB's and Safeties. The best group out of all of it.

No DJ Turner did not jump into the 1st round. He still won't be drafted until the late 2nd or 3rd. He's still short and has uneven game tape. Being fast doesn't always translate to football skills.
Christian Gonzales got best feet out there 💯

DJ turner definitely gunna be getting set up good. His form and speed is unbelievable. I know it’s not the fastest of all time but damn that’s good for a combine run!
One thing I kind of wish to see in a future combine is voluntary drill of one on one DL vs OL, WR (and qb) vs db, and rb vs lb. I think for very under the radar prospects, it would give them an opportunity to show something that can't be solely measured with raw athleticism. Especially the mental and neural talent.
@nayachidi2499

That’s a lot of work bro tf have u ever played professional sports of any kind?
@TheFulp
Жыл бұрын
It makes sense on paper, but I don’t think it would be too great for the prospects I feel. Here’s why I think so: 1. The likelihood of injury is increased. 2. The combine is more of a measurement of -individual- mechanics and athletic ability. 3. No top prospects would participate in the drills because what happens if the top OL gets beaten by luck or some mistake? The risk is WAY higher than reward. Leave that stuff to the senior bowl maybe? It does a good job at highlighting under the radar prospects, look at Quinn Meinerz a few years ago :-)

thats what all the time they played college football is for. If you want to see how they do against the defense go watch their game highlights. Also better than a 1v1 you get how they play in the actual game. crazy how that works.

Liked the look of J. Martin, Hellams, Daniel Scott, C. Mitchell. Deep class for CB for sure. Safety has some good guys also.

These DBs are fast as hell. 4:27?! Woe. 😳🏈💨
Those DB’s we’re flying
0:59 ringo with the track and field lean🔥
These kids are all fast as hell lmao
So, a year later all those sub sub 4,4 times by the elite track stars playing DB in the NFL, and Brian Branch, Mr. 4,58 40 yard dash is the best rookie drafted. This only serves once again to emphasize that what you can run on a track is not as important as how fast you can react to a play during game time. Branch 's instincts are elite, and his ability to recognize where the ball is going is elite, and his ability to close on the ball is else, and his ability to deliver a hit and complete a tackle are elite. The rest is just flash...
Excited to see RT22 anywhere tbh, the way he's hitting, he's a dawg!

Some of these DBs on the full combine video where running 4.5 and 4.6 way too much. I’m pretty sure they’re faster than that but let’s see what they can do on that field, that’s where the real beast come out!!!

One of them is Julius Brents. The thing is, is that he’s 6’3 with a long wingspan doesn’t have to be as fast. Harder to get it over his hands.

@@334ben10 If you're on the defensive side of the ball, you are a liability if you cant tackle. When you have that small of a frame it simply increases the risk for people to run you over.
