It was an alright show, I wouldn't tattoo it on my leg though. I'd take a tattoo on my belly fat, and when I suck in my tummy to appear more slim than I actually am the tattoo reads "Keeping Up Appearances".

@Bri C ​ Ok I'll try to explain the joke (because that always makes it funnier): I _know_ what the phrase one foot in the grave means, how it's a clever pun for a guy who's got only one leg, and it was a tv show some time ago. My joke was mirroring that: When you're tucking your gut in, you're keeping up appearance of not being fat, and there also was a tv show some time ago named after that phrase. The joke was a bit far fetched I suppose. Though I didn't expect someone to be THAT upset over a joke.

I think the trouble is people these days are so afraid of causing any offense, or being associated to the person making the joke by laughing, they daren't laugh at anything anymore. I bet most of the people in that audience found that funny, but they were too cowardly to laugh. It was a good joke!

I love how even though Top Gear is over, the Grand Tour is probably on it's last season, and the fact that these blokes are approaching pension age, they still bless us with new shows all the time

I don't think Chris Tarrant was that funny as host on this show, but, I was a small kid, last time I saw this, way back in the 90's to the 2000's at that time as well. He was as funny, but, Jeremy is more funnier here, than a jester sitting on washing machine at full cycle.

I laughed my ass off at the Ibex question. He was SO confident it was a deer lmao. It has huge horns yes, but they are horns not antlers. And other than that they just look like huge overgrown goats, right down to the face shape. Totally understand someone who's never seen or heard of an Ibex getting it wrong but Jeremy claims he saw some pretty close up! Guess he just forgot what they actually look like. Woops LMAO

That Deer and Goat one was really very funny.

If he got it wrong on my "ask the host" lifeline, I would scream "CLAAAAARRKSOOOOOOON!"

Jeremy just makes any show thousand miles more entertaining lol

Jeremy as the host is pure gold

They still have "phone a friend" in the UK version? I think they had to get rid of that lifeline in the US version due to everyone having the internet much more readily available.

The Clarkson era is so much better than the original. It used to boil my p*ss when Chris Tarrant used to try and talk them out of the correct answer. The contestant would say "B please Chris" and Tarrant would say "not C ?". In the earliest series the 50 50 was no way random either. Every time it would get rid of the two most obviously wrong answers.

Who thinks that in 2021 the highest winnings on this show should be at least £5mil or £10mil. £1mil isnt much these days, you could get 4, 2 bedroom houses in certain parts of the country. Or one flat in London. It's not what it was when the show first aired.
