Sick City - The Very Best of Charles Manson & The Family Jams (Unity Productions 2022 - digital source). This is a new compilation from a small label out of Texas. Audio fidelity is quite good compared to what else is out there, and some of these songs sound better than what I've heard on other releases. There is also some judicious editing performed on a few of these tracks to make them sound more "songlike" and less fragmentary, but it's all handled quite tastefully. Altogether, this is probably the best Manson-related collection I've heard so far. Enjoy.

Thanks for sharing! I'm big into Charlie's music but hadn't heard the ones by Gypsy, Paul, etc.
This guy is so great, surprised he doesn't have a cult following!
"Invisible Tears" and "Eyes Of A Dreamer" both had the potential of being new standards. I heard something of a Gaetano Veloso influence in both "Invisible Tears" and "The Shadow Of Your Smile / Close To Me" "Forgotten Dream" shows off an influence of traditional Spanish guitar ballads. Interesting to think about what might have become of Manson had he not chosen the dark path he took. Not to give anyone ideas (especially in the AI era), but I can only imagine how Manson's songs would've been handled by other artists (besides The Beach Boys).

Fantastic critique! NO doubt Manson wrote GREAT SONGS! Question: I just a saw Stoner van houten interview with Lynnette Fromme and he asked her if she sang on the family jams. And she said NO! ? Then when he asked her who sang on it, she cut him off and wanted to go(towards the end of the interview. Question: Is she lying for some reason? Doesn't want to talk about it for some reason? Or maybe the credits got it wrong? Let me know what you think?

I totally respect & am a fan of his music. I like his version of Cease To Exist a lot more than what the Beach Boys did... and I respect the music they made. But I think Charlie's version is just raw & beautiful.
Aint he here with us right now?..aint He..ha ha🐝

He's in the soul of every Trumper, that's for sure! (Or at least in the darkest corners of their collective minds, as much as they fear and deny it.) You've got to admit though, eerie as it may seem, his prediction about the "race war" was somewhat accurate.
What a historic gem! Few knew Helter Skelter was a myth! Now, the whole world knows it was a psy-op. :) ❤🎉

Hey Alti2de, where have you been hiding lately? Haven’t seen you in TLB Radio chat. I stumbled upon these last week: kzread.info/dash/bejne/dq2Yuc6boqW4pMo.html and kzread.info/dash/bejne/fahtytCoosLXfpM.html . And (of course) you can combine them in a stereo audio file-one on the left track and one on the right track-to make a “super stereo” version; it works pretty well! I’m hoping to hear more AI (audio isolation) versions of Manson tunes eventually.

Hey ahcapella... sorry, for some reason I never seem to be online when Brian streams. Hoping to catch up with you guys soon though. Thanks for the links; now if only the rest of the tapes would surface!

@@jpinnacle Well, Brian is on every Sunday at 8pm CST. I’m also hoping that S K and I can coax you into the TLB Radio Discord group. It seems that the 3 of us are all interested in exploring the possible “Canadian connection” between Doyle/Harrigan and Linda &/or Tex…but mostly *Linda,* based on what Sadie said about the $1,000 MDA burn at the Cielo house. S K and I have been brainstorming on this concept for ~7 weeks in the Discord group (which so far, hardly anyone else uses, even though Brian is saying that he wants to get more involved with it, that it might be the next platform to use instead of the insanely restrictive Facebook). I think Brian has to post an “invite” link, though, so that people can get into the Discord group, and I don’t know if he’s done that yet. We may need to pester him about that this Sunday, lol!

@@ahcapella that sounds good to me, although I don't know the first thing about Discord, lol. I do have quite a few thoughts on the Canadian connection though, so I'll try to be there on Sunday, and hopefully Brian will post an invite!

@@jpinnacle Hey, missed you on Sunday! Yes, S K and I are very keen on info & ideas about the Canadian connection! Well, Discord is pretty straightforward, I guess. The most recent comments go to the bottom (as on Blogger) rather than the top (as on Facebook). And Brian DID finally post the Discord link! I’m going to post it in a reply to *this* comment, and if you would, please *delete* it after you grab it. Oh crap…KZread and their URL restrictions! Oh well, I’ll figure something out.

Wow, never mind! Even spacing letters out didn’t work. I tried all sorts of things! KZread is trying to compete with FB for some sort of “most restrictive” award, I guess. Uhh…well, could you shoot me an email address here, and then delete it after I get it? lol. In earlier times I could have *messaged* you here, but of course the KZread folks took THAT away in recent years too, since they aren’t fans of ANYTHING helpful from which they don’t make money.
