Jojo: Diavolo May Cry

One of my favorite jokes from this is Pucci falling on the statue of Athena like Dio, and Jonathan saying "man, we should move that". Just cause it's happening that often. Also because when he did to Dio, they fell from like a hole in the roof, while Pucci just fell off the railing of the stairs. There's multiple levels, one being the frequency of this happening, another being "it's kind of easy to impale yourself on that".

NOT WHY HE GOT WRITTEN OUT OF THE STORY! Araki wanted him to be a traitor but was going through his own personal issues and didn't want to dump something that heavy into the story. Personally I would've had him show up later having changed sides _again_ , but I didn't write the thing. Also, if anyone thinks that Part 5 is full of "jobbers", they didn't read the fucking manga. Especially consider Bruno Buccellati - he's got a weird stand power, but he ends up being a badass in most of his fights, and he doesn't even have to resort to bullshit plot convenience means like ... every fight Joseph had in Part 2 and a whole bunch of fights in Part 3.

So I think I saw a few sources talk about the joke before Shi(4)-tsu(English transliteration of two)-rei(0) Shitsurei (which means rude) when used as an interjection is like “How rude of me” So the joke becomes “Excuse me! [This is] rude [but] let me pass” when you look at the number as a word (referred to as “goroawase”) Now my biggest ponderance is how to translate the joke into one that can be used for English?

So, here’s a problem I have with JJBA and it has everything to do with Pet Shop. If Pet Shop had just left Iggy alone, the Stardust Crusaders would’ve never found Dio’s mansion in time because Iggy wanted nothing to do with the Stardust Crusaders and found the mansion by accident. Iggy said it himself. It’s the shit that Pet Shop put Iggy through that made him go “you know what? I suddenly care. A lot. Now I’ll take this band of losers right to you Dio because I got a bone to pick with you too.”

I don't know why Woolie considers Narancia a jobber. His fight with Talking Head and Clash is the sickest.

I’m wondering if maybe there was another timeline where Bites The Dust had a glitch in its time rewinding ability and Funny Valentine used it to save Josuke in the main timeline. They didn’t get close enough for the gravitation between same objects from different timelines to take place and the man from the past looked like he’d been in a big fight. Not to mention the guy straight up disappeared.

@@thudlite4319 The reason they look similar is because Josuke wanted to copy the unknown man’s style. That’s it. Plus I don’t think him not coming back was really the point. It was more to show that these kinds of people that were actually labeled as dangerous and considered to be troublesome was false. Anyone can be a good person, a person shouldn’t be judge by their style or skin color. I think that’s what Araki was trying to get at. Plus this guy showed up when Josuke was really young, and we don’t really know the guy’s age so he could of become old

HowTo Watcher Joseph was born a hamon user, so I think that since the blood regenerates but takes time to turn you into a vampire Joseph got his hamon back up and running after being healed. So he hadn’t become a vampire yet and now had hamon flowing through his veins so he didn’t become one.

Another example for the alternat history discussion at the end: if polnareff brought help with him to fight diavolo, he could’ve gotten the chance to contact jotaro. Sounds good, but it would’ve ended up with them both losing to diavolo if you think about it.

@@DiceFTW273 my head canon is that if Jotaro stoped time while Diavolo skips it, diavolo would stop moving for 5 seconds but wouldn't take any damage anyway. Even tho the end result might not be definitive we see that stand powers still work during the erased time and that time based abilities can stack so there's definitely a level of interaction

People always just focus on them being wrong when they know they get things wrong and like you said even correct themselves with annotations or hell, just straight up look up the info on the wiki during the LP if they really want to know. That’s the thing I really have a problem with and why I feel people are usually butt hurt about. Fugo *WAS* supposed to be the traitor. It's even foreshadowed when the "Man in the Mirror" Giorno makes himself immune to Purple Haze. Araki was going through some shit and thought that Fugo going bad would've been too much so he shipped Fugo off and brought in Green Tea to fill his space, which is why the two stands are so similar. This isn't even like the Hol Horse thing where people thought he was supposed to take the place of Avdol, which was untrue and Araki even debunked it in an interview. Araki has said that that's reason why Fugo just drops off the face of the earth, and why Green Tea takes his place.

Hell, Pocoloco's new Stand is basically Mr. Meeseeks

I don't really understand why people rib Jotaro for telling Josuke he can't revive his grandpa. It's clear Joseph was only revived because it was a special circumstance, his blood having been in Dio. Nothing like that is present in part 4.

More importantly, despite the whole thing with the blood, even if it was normal blood, the only thing Jotaro did with his stand was pumping Joseph's heart. He didn't used any power whatsoever.

1:58:31 Well the thing is Jotaro didn't turn back time. He rewrote reality. It's possible that any changes he made to the past were checked to made sure bad results don't happen as a result of them. The rules of time travel don't really have to apply in this case. He can made the new reality to be whatever he wants it to be unless I missed something (I don't read or watch JoJo).

Abdega that’s actually really funny because remember the frame where he’s trying to learn Hamon to be more helpful and zeppeli just decks him in the stomach and it didn’t work, and then later in the chapter speedwagon has the fire abs for seemingly no reason I always figured that the reason for that was the latent Harmon manifesting in an unorthodox way So maybe in another universe, or if that had been followed up on, speedwagon could have been a Hamon User

@@chertikinamoto Yeah I always liked that idea that his “hot abs” was the only way he could really do Hamon I guess that would mean the only way he could slay vampire sharks isn’t to bury their face in his chest or something What a way to go ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

I'm pretty sure that their argument over the Cinderella X Yukako X Koichi thing is quite possibly one of the greatest moments here.

Plus I think pat is missing the point that the whole point of Romeo and Juliet was that teenagers are fucking stupid. That being said, I do take his side on true love aspect, because Woolies thinking on love is far too cynical even for me.

I fucking hate that Jotaro gets all the spotlight. Why not give Jonathan a stand and let him take on DIO. Or anyone else. "Giorno and Johnny have a chance" *gets wrecked* c'mon writers.

Here’s what I never hear anyone bring up about Valentine... What if he legitimately didn’t plan on using the gun if Johnny accepted his offer? What if he only brought it as insurance in case he didn’t accept? The whole purpose of the test was to see if Valentine would turn on him after Johnny gives him what he wants. But Valentine could still have been genuine in his offer while still keeping the gun.

I don't think much of the ending would change, maybe be he could get a new gyro? Since the corpse still ended in the us government hands

I watched this LP with no knowledge of jojo and ended up retaining deaths, stands, and character personalities

I have come back to this video year after year with each new JoJo part released, absolutely forgetting everything and only remembering what now has context to it. With Part 6 locked in now, all I have left is Steel Ball Run to truly understand everything that's going on in the game.

If someone honestly thinks that GT is better than Super than I wonder how they function in their daily lives with such harsh mental conditions

Like super isn't really that great from what I've seen but GT is genuinely bad. Even the kinds cool things GT touches on but fucks up like bringing back 17 or having someone who the Saiyan's really fucked over come back for revenge Super did significantly better.

"Didn't Stroheim kill a bunch of people?" Me: Didn't DIO kill a lot of people, made zombies, fused humans to animals to make those hybrids from part 1, Indirectly and Directly responsible for most of the crap that happens in Part 3-6, and kills dogs?

He's very meticulous in setting up his plans and contraptions and everything so that it'll go off the way he wanted, to get that big payoff- he'd absolutely do something tedious and dull if he thinks it'll be worth it. I mean, if you can argue that Joker would take the time and effort to get his suit tailored and his hair styled into those perfect pointy spikes, then he'd totally be able to sit still enough to get tattoos and grills and whatever if that's the look he wants to go for. Every single thing I know about JoJo I learned via osmosis from watching the Best Friends. So for some reason I feel like I’m safe from spoilers here since I still don’t know a fucking thing about JoJo.

It astounds me how close Woolie and Pat are to some things, only to trip up by claiming something that isn't true as fact and then criticizing the show over the false perception.

Jesus is, canonically, a JoJo due to how the naming conventions at the time worked. His birth name, Yashua ben Yusef, when modernized becomes Joshua Son of Joseph, or JoJo. Jesus also has a stand, although I don't know what it is as my information was what I knew off-hand and I can't be bothered to look up what its name was.
