I just realized Pat has died to Virgil once in every game form this LP plus DMC V

The scene where Angelo is introduced with the mirror will always be one of my favourite scenes in ALL of the series because it was not only a subtle way of foreshadowing how you enter the demon world was through a reflective service... But also how Angelo was actually Virgil.

Yeah; the way I figure it, even though he was being manipulated by Mundus for the most part, there was a part of his confident personality that still remained, and while he didn't want to fight Dante as a pawn, he was still eager to fight him again since that's all they've ever known how to do with each other since they were kids: fight. And no, not shirtless in the rain 😂

In yamatos description it can cut anything. Its so sharp it can even cut through dimensions. Thats what the judgement cut is.

you know, i just realized how kinda darkly hilarious the "You may have the face but you'll never have her fire!" line is in retrospect after 5, since... ya know... Eva died in a fire.

@@Iffem That was the impression I got from a scene in 5. You only hear her die, but it sounds too sudden to be fire related. The house was supposed to be full of demons, it is possible that she was crushed by part of the house collapsing or something.

@@patrickmacken6046 the sound is pretty clearly a part of the house collapsing. hell, in this DMC universe (you know, NOT the remake), it's even possible that demons didn't even have anything to do with the destruction of the Sparda family

you can fight phantom 5 times, griffon 4, Nelo Angelo 4, nightmare 3, and mundus twice, first encounter being his two stage battle, the second encounter is in the sewer where he's falling apart. So every boss is encountered more than once, but mundus is the only one that has a second asset made for him.

With the idea of Trish being a requested future playable character in DMC5, being outfitted with Alastor is giving me valkyrie vibes with her lightning abilities.

Coming from the far future just to say I realized that Uzrisen with his chair *does* resemblence mundus a bit.

Where in hindsight the Alastor cutscene was kinda dumb in that sense, but god that was amazing first time seeing it.

I have a theory that the, "My soul is telling me to StOp YoUuuUuOo!" was originally supposed to happen with fight choreo going on, because he has a line right before that where the voice actor ramps up similarly in the middle of a fight move. The voice actor and the mocap/stunt actor is the same guy, but the animation might have gotten tweaked at some point.

3:10 For me, it was his hair. Leon always had a pretty boy look which started being much more accentuated starting from RE4.

Fun fact, when I had the game years ago, it had no instructions, soo for years I had no idea you could swap between Alastor and Ifrit via a button...

When I first played the game as a teenager without much experience in action-games, I was so afraid the whole time. It was like a horror game for me :D

so Dante's coat was actually added pretty late in development and you can see that in the scene at 4:50 where Dante is getting up after getting stabbed and you can see how thin the back of his jacket is and how it seems to have no real connection to his outfit as from what I can tell that scene was mostly done before the inclusion of the jacket so instead of redoing the who scene they just edited the back in if you watch his coat at the time stamp you will see what I mean

Well, technically, Alastor is still used! ...In Monster Hunter! World has a Dante set where Force Edge is part of the Charge Blade lineup. It’s Axe form is not an axe, but it’s Alastor!

DMC 2 have a really well designed Dante though, I have to give it that. His outfit is the perfect balance of red and black. In fact, until DMC5 came along, it was my favorite design for him.

@@caitlinbrewer4843 Yup. DMC2's design is the best of the anime-styled designs. The SMT Nocturne Remaster where you have the DMC2 design with Reuben Langdon's voice is kind of a glimpse into what could've been.

Nightmare beta is a good weapon because it’s the only gun you can punch with and it actually does more damage The ardimes is a bad weapon because you require to use gunslinger to focus on a single enemy and the damage is terrible with no passive effect on melee combat Also you can one shot phantom with nightmare beta
