You might just have to accept looking at the backup camera on the original screen, but there might be some wiring magic someone at the Geek Squad or something might be able to do for you. There could be an extra output on that backup camera system that would work for this. Post here if you find an answer?

ATTENTION!!! Guys do not use their original mount that blocks your view driving. I bought 2 heavy duty magnet phone holder that attaches to your AC vent in that way and stick my wireless carplay to it. And won’t block your view and to avoid accident.

Yes it will work. Also it will connect to your speakers as long as the car has Bluetooth or Aux input.

I don't understand why good is it to see a youtube video on it for example when there is your mobile phone? You put it to your dashboard and everywhere covering something important, a switch or the air conditioner...

How does it work for hands free texting and calling

Looks great and functional, so car play and android auto don't have a patent or royalty to use them that a manufacturer pays or car company?

Hi! Tks for the review! However it is not clear if it can be connected to the radio system of the car while using CarPlay or Android Auto. As per as a video on KZread from other review, it shows a live message during the test of the unit, saying “While i-play is working, you cannot use Bluetooth devices!” Would be good to be sure before buy one. Can you confirm it it works with Bluetooth of the car radio at the same time of CarPlay? Tks, all the best

1:15 Did... did you damage the car screen? It's really not designed for that sort of force! A sticky suction cup will almost certainly damage the liquid crystal matrix. There does not appear to be a glass or protective surface on that screen, it's just a thin layer of plastic on the LCD. With it attached to the arm, every bump you go over is going to exert a fairly significant shearing force. This is a TERRIBLE idea; and viewers should definitely use another surface unless they have a thick glass coating on their screen (not likely due to glare)

My biggest thing is lag between screens and holy shit i hope this video is just laggy because for 400 dollars that lag between selections was horrible. The airplay was what the normal screen should be. Maybe it was just wireless carplay i guess? 400 dollars it should be as smooth as my phone

I agree and I am right there with you. However, This product is geared towards the average joe. The kind of people who are not really mechanically inclined and don't want to tear apart their interior, wire up a bunch of connections, or pay some shop to do so.

It is garbage, do not waste your money buying this car play.

The screen size & quality is nice. But the feature set sux!! No front cam, no DVR, no wireless remote, no reverse sensors, no ODB features like tire pressure sensors, processor & ram are minimal. For the price they should step it up
