I remember playing rainbow islands on the Amiga 500. Yes, I’m that old! Seeing paracel stars in this video unlocked the memory of playing RI with my mate with with the old joysticks.

Dros looks like a good game to play while I watch documentaries in the background

I used to play Princess Maker 2 growing up. It was an interesting experience being a child, playing a game about raising a child, lol. "Oh, so THIS was what my mom has to put up with every day!" 😲 The game is rather on the short side though (to my memory). So if the price is an issue, you should wait for a sale. There are multiple endings, as you mentioned, so it's easily replayable since you can raise your daughter to have different jobs, with the ultimate goal of having her marry the prince (hence the name). But you get other endings where romance isn't any part of the storyline (12 year old me was a very protective father, lol). I don't know if it would appeal to many people today though. I'm curious what improvements they've added to the game.

Deathchron makes me think of Gato Roboto which was a big surprise

Princess Maker 2 is definitely one I'll pick up if it gets a deep sale ($40 is WAY too much). I've seen different LP channels play it and it's always fun to watch

When i recently decide to 100% the rest of my backlog before the next switch gen and this channel just keeps adding more interesting games on the list.

A plus for Princess Maker: it's yet another game uncensored on switch but censored in PS

@@variable5515 a bit, being a bishoujo game. A couple endings and some items related to chest size are what I remember being removed from PS.

So Gluck is the "delve, collect, return, repeat" type? That's my kinda game XD

I have memories of a unicorn enemy in Parasol Stars that perpetually drove me to rage. haha.

I had similar rage during 50% of my playthroughs of New Zealand Story. I never swore so much. It used to give me such a headache a horse throat.

Really looking forward to ace combat and ive sent emails to some retailers and they dont seem to know if it will have the top gun dlc they just repeat the press release? Unfortunately im guessing no because of licencing bit of a shame but not a deal breaker for me i just hope we get a locked 30fps

Ace Combat 7 is looking quite promising, possibly another impossible port material.

Im very interested too see how it runs unreal engine 4 on switch usually has harsh compromises so a resolution of 720p-900p at 30FPS is likely and i mean as long as its locked i won't mind but I do kind of wish they stuck to there own engine just so we could have got a 60fps port 😅

@@dun0790 Acce Combat channel has been sharing Switch footages for some months actually, and they all appear to be in 60 fps. Resolution is obviously lower but exact numbers are unknown. There's minor reduction in foliage and smoke/cloud density, but far from deal-braking.

​​@@dun0790there's no way this game will be 60fps on switch. Unless they just make everything that isn't a plane a flat texture and have super low poly planes with terrible muddy textures, expect this to be 30fps with drops.

@@dooleh84 The game was 1080 60 fps on a ps4 and thats without drops. Rendering the ground will be the most intensive, the rest is light since combat is in the air.

There was a pizza joint my family used to go to and they had 2 arcade machines. One was Bubble Bobble. That game was so fun. I lost so many quarters on that machine.

I'm usually not off on a Saturday, so I was surpised at how early this video was up because I'm usually watching them 12 hours later. Do they always go up this early? Suppose it is afternoon for you, though. Dros, Night Reverie, and Drathchron look fun.

I can't wait for Ace Combat!! Ever since it was announced I've been waiting eagerly as the last time I played a game in the series qas back on the PS2 and I love it! Hopefully the devs have checked out how similar games like Dakaar Squadron have faired and made refinements to avoid misteps in mechanics and bugs too. I will be waiting to pick it up however as price point for physical exceeding my budget right now and for any patches to improve performance. I'd also like to see if SwitchUp review it to help me decide to wait longer and if it features in an All Patched Up. Cheers SwitchUp!

Gluck looks interesting, and Ace Combat is a must buy, imo. Also, there's a decent looking picross game called "Kubits Gallery" releasing on the 8th that I'll probably pick up to feed my picross addiction. This one seems to have a bit of a story that also serves up info on the history of art (you're basically recreating famous paintings using picross), so it should be fun. All in all, not a bad week.

I loved the first Ace Combat on the PS1 and N Gen racing. Ogre Tale looks great the graphics really jump out. Bubble Bobble used to be my favourite game, Im sure I will enjoy Parasol Stars I have never played it before but I love those kind of games Mr Driller etc

Had been playing Bleach brave souls for a long while, really good game, but… its a gatcha game and the amount of grinding was wild. I will try it again on Switch, lets see if it has changed for better.

No its the full game running in real time on your hardware and so far only seems to have a physical release

Ace combat and bleach are two great games but I’ve played them on different platforms

Princess maker 2 will be good but honestly it's overpriced at 40$. Buts a port of 30 year old game with slightly better drawings of the characters. I've never played the muv luv games but I do know they're considered as some of the best visual novel games ever created so both games for 30$ is tempting. A quick edit I was wrong each game is 30$ it's 60 for double pack but that's still a great deal for fans of vn

Bleach brave souls is a gacha game. It's tolerable but definitely not worth investing since there's a noticeable paywall at later areas.

Bandai namco has made really bad ports on switch ( ni no kuni 2, klonoa, baten kaitos) so I would advise to avoid ace combat 7 before checking multiple reviews. They dont even patch up their games, just an horrible developper.
