@mylatedroid101 had a 1080ti with a 6700k. Worked perfectly just upgraded to 13700k and a 3080. The other previous computer still did its job gaming

I just picked up a GTX 1060 6GB for 40$ and it was a massive upgrade from my R9 270 2GB, which to be fair ran games surprisingly well for its age!

@@OfficialOpalm If you feel satisfied with the R9 270 it is no need to upgrade, but the GTX 1060, especially the 6GB model is a worthy upgrade. You can run all games at higher quality and you will not need to downscale graphical settings nearly as much. I would recommend upgrading:)

@@jimmygoforth1521 That's not really how it works. The 3070 Ti and 3070 outperform a 2080 Ti despite the 2080 Ti having 11GB over the 8GB of the 3070 cards.

Yeah I plan on doing the exact same thing getting components one or 3 at a time and go for the most expensive parts first. Thinking about getting the ASRock RX 6600

just did my first build. your videos helped me so much. i built a micro center bundle 7700x msi pro b650-p with 32 gb gskills flare cl30 and a rx6750 xt its my pride and joy built off an 8 year old cyberpower pc prebuild that originally housed a fx 6300 and a gt 730. talk about dropping a hellcat motor into a ford fiesta lol. thanks for all you all do. cant wait to make a trip down to kentucky to visit the toasty bros store.

@@LegionGamingTV He plans to, but the build isnt finished, hes only on stage one. He used the SHO trans from the donor car, as it is VERY hard to find aftermarket trans for the sho without doing a custom adapter plate. He eventually wants to steal the 4wd system from a early focus or transit and retrofit it to the fiesta

​@@EastDallasKicks I dont think he wanted to put in the Ecoboost TT v6, he wanted the v8 rumble. he plans on stroking the motor and boring it out, then sleeving the pistons to make them stronger than stock, as he has access to an auto shop (the lucky bastard). Jack is still looking for a video editor to get his video trimmed and put up on youtube, he wants to do it right.

Just sniped a new 6600xt for $180. Fantastic card for the money.

Best thing about the 16 series cards is they are Turin architecture, they'll be supported for as long as the RTX20 cards. Maxwell is still supported and that's 10 years old.

I found a ZOTAC Gaming GeForce RTX 3060 Twin Edge OC 12GB for $200 on amazon refurbished. I also found a ASUS TUF Gaming Radeon™ RX 7600 XT OC Edition 16GB GDDR6 Graphics Card for $340 which one holds better value to performance or is there something even better?

I went for the RX6650xt for my second gaming rig paired with a ryzen 1700 cpu and 32 gb of ddr4 it does really good for the games I play

i bought the rx 7600 when they were giving it out with the Avatar game. I like it. Using frame gen on The Finals getting over 220 fps on 2k, ray tracing high, settings high, and getting frame gen latency around 11ms . overall not a bad card with the av1 encoder. using it with an intel i3 12100F that I had laying around. I downgraded from a 12th gen i7 and was concerned the little 4core cpu wouldnt handle my productivity but the pairing of the gpu and cpu has been just fine for my overall work and gaming.

At $330 the 6750XT seems like the better option at 12GB VRAM and bang for buck scales to the same ratio as a $400 7700XT or $500 7800XT give or take

Since nvidias architecture is so efficient this generatio, they should make a 4050 Ti single slot GPU with 8gb of vram. Use the AD-107 from the laptop but put it on a 128 bit bus with a 75w power limit. For $180-$200, and it would fly off the shelves. That would be the best single slot GPU, and the best card for older PCs.

the 6600 is a 1080p monster super underrated. it reminds me of when the rx580 dominated the market but waaaaay better frame rate and ultra settings on all aaa titles

Also I’m just getting into pc so can you guys maybe give me some tips?

I bought a 4060 out of desperation because I was sick of my 5700XT sounding like a jet engine and fighting countless driver issues because that card apparently hated me. So understandably I didn't want to replace it with another AMD card after having a terrible experience. Everywhere was out of stock of the 3060ti so I bought a 4060 and was pleasantly surprised. It was still a noticeable bump in performance from the 5700XT even without turning on things like FSR, and because it uses a fraction of the power it runs silently even in my little ITX case. Yes it probably should have called itself the RTX4050 and yes the raytracing support is pointless unless you like playing cyberpunk at 30fps instead of 90fps but the thermal efficiency and near silent running is worth it for my very specific use case.

i got a 4070 super for 450 a couple weeks back, and i love this card, and i sold my 4070 that i got for 440 to my friend for 500. upgraded, and made some cash.

Got a 3080 for $300 used market off of fb which is on par with that 4070. Used market is where its at.

Why would you get a 9th gen i7 chip? It's outdated, get something from the Ryzen 5000 series or if you want more futureproofing and don't mind spending that extra money, 7000 series.

If you go for old gen CPU I'd go for the Rx 6700 10 GB has more VRAM and might be a bit futureish proof than the Rx 7600 ( it depends how these prices are apart )

RTX 4060 Ti is a solid card but the vram is too low. OFC its gonna run most games 1080p max settings. 2k high and some games 4k but why nvidia go with 8gb vram is crazy. Still 1080p gaming is prob gonna be very good at but 2k maybe struggel a littel bit

Question for anyone in comments or of course the Toasty Bros team: I’m going to build a pc soon and have a few parts that I am starting with. Having a seasonic 850 power supply and a GTX 1660 super on hand what would be the best route for a motherboard and processor to use these for now and upgrade later? Thank you in advance I will try and remember to return and let you know what I go with. Edit: not trying to go crazy per se on price but want to buy the things that I will have longer term be slightly better if that makes sense. As for what I want/need out of the build, video editing and gaming which for the gaming aspect as long as it looks decent and doesn’t stutter I’m happy.

honestly am4 is still good i have used a couple of platforms including am4 am5 and lga 1700 (also lga 1150 but thats not worth it rn) am4: 5600/16gb ddr4/b550/a case of your choice or if you like intel i3-12100f /b6xx(only 660 or 690) /7xx / 16gb ddr4(or 5 depending on motherboard)/ a case of your choice. am5:r5=7500f/16gb ddr5 6000mhz/b650 /case of choice. if you say the budget it might be easier

You forgot to menton that all iNTEL gpus have AV1.

RDNA2 is just the best sweetspot to get as it's modern enough and cheap enough to still compete most of the time especially if you snag a clean secondhand card. Just stay away if you want to do any professional or AI/LLM locally on your machine, in that case just get an RTX card.

Amd 6600 is the best price to performance. I would've like a 4060 but not much more money. It just doesn't make sense.

I have always had bad luck with AMD Radeon graphics cards and CPUs. NVIDIA and Intel would be the only GPUs and CPUs (new & used) that worked and lasted for years.

RX 6600 8gb is the best budget gpu for 1080p now this is an old card 3 years ago you can now have more performance and less power at the same time. If you want a new future card then go for rx 7600 8gb the new card is fine.

As someone who uses a 3050 6gb i agree it is not the best but defnitely good enough to give you a playable experience with every game if paired with a i5 12400f. So in my opinion its decent and it outperforms the gtx 1060 which is the most used gpu on steam. (I am aware noone asked for my opinion but i wanted in on the banter😂)

No way I can recommend 8gb gpus or lower due to many newer games will use more then 8gb vram. Hints if that was not true then I wouldn't have needed to upgrade from 2080 super 8gb to a 4070 12gb. Plus I got my 4070 for 400 usd/ 600 cad after taxes new.
