BTCC put out a little documentary about Murray Walker's commentaries upon his death, where they talked about how Murray Walker was essentially given a highlight reel from each race, where he then wrote notes, and then did an 'after the fact' commentary for the program to be put onto TV. I can understand why you think it's live though, as a lot of motorsport commentary is live these days :)

Clelland's move was way too wild, he brought it on himself. Too bad, because he still had a decent chance up untill that point. Soper's bad move was provoked, for once he's not the only one to blame.

That first crash was out of pure ego. I love it.

Touring cars have next to no downforce and rely on mechanical grip to move round so leaning on each other is sometimes the way to get round corners
