I bought the 1505 a year ago and love it. I was looking for a multi-tool that included just the features I would use daily. The utility knife replaced my EDC pocket knife, includes a flat head and Phillips screw driver as well as a 1/4" hex driver. There is an additional blade storage when the blade is open. I see you mention that later.

The 6 in 1 is best for my EDC, because of the driver feature. I use the flat head for light prying. Usually i would carry a folding knife & a small prytool. But with the 6 in 1, it's all inclusive. I'm not cutting much, just occasionally breaking down boxes. So it fills all the needs for me.

I would also say another two reasons why they are popular is because first they are Readily available. You can find these at most hardware stores. Where as with something like a leatherman you might have to visit a specialized shop or order online. Secondly, and probably most importantly they are very affordable and great value for the money. I have owned plenty of mid to high end knives and I won't lie, I feel a bit reserved when it comes to hard use. But with these, you can work them hard. And if they break or get lost you aren't up the creek on a cutting tool.

Thanks for this video. Because of you I have just ordered the 1502. All metal body. Almost went for the one with the tool built in until I saw this. Thank you!

I have the compact and the 6 in one and i like the 6 in one but at least on mine the detent on the but driver SUCKS I've lost one bit already and its hard to find any shape or size bit that stays put. I like that the compact is noticeably lighter in hand and takes up less space and weight in my already overburdened pockets but i have pretty big hands and with my finger in the choil im only really getting a 3 finger grip. That not really a big deal opening boxes, but whenever im cutting heavier stuff like battery cables and breaking down a lot of cardboard at a time a full 4 finger grip is nice

I bought my Milwaukee for the car. EDCC...everyday car carry. Ha! It has a seat belt slicer evident when the knife is closed. Might come in handy sometime. Not mentioned in this video.

I picked up my second Milwaukee Fastback, but this one comes with a screwdriver set. But I purchased Milwaukee Fastback because it's my EDC. Plus is cheaper than a pocket knife and no need to sharpen. Skill difficult for me to learn.

Great review Scary to watch anyone whip around a box blade like that, not saying your not in control, just knowing how dangerous those things are a couple years ago i was cutting some straps when a hornet landed on the back of my other hand, out of reflex i went to swat/slap the hornet i forgot the box cutter was in my hand and got so lucky i didnt cut every tendon in my hand, i was in shock for days after that.

They can be super dangerous, wouldn't be a bad idea to take a quick utility knife lesson before buying one. Need to create good habits like cutting away from oneself, and always putting blade away right after making a cut. Glad you didn't hurt yourself to bad, thanks for sharing

nice review...i will never understand why companies waste time and effort to produce items with bottle oppener...We have metal oarts on that cutter so, we suppose these are tools buyed by persons wuth skills :))) no need for bottle opener.
