True true! I cut my long hair thinking I’d love it.. nope! Never again. I am now in my early 60’s and have long hair.. shoulder length.. with layers and I won’t go gray. We all have to be true to ourselves.❤

I’m 54 and love my long hair. Have to be able to put it in a ponytail!

I'm in my sixty's and still like mine long. It's often worn up but when I want it to look really nice, it just takes a wash, a little serum and a blow dryer. Right now it needs a trim and some face framing and long layers. No doubt that would add aa wonderful flare. But to cut it off just seems like extra work!! And more trips to the hairdresser on a frequent basis.

I would like to echo what the previous Commenter said by saying just because you’re older it doesn’t mean you have to have short hair. I have long hair now which is probably two or 3 inches below my shoulder and I’m really enjoying it. I’ve never had it this long in my entire life. I wish there were some pictures of older women with long hair. I don’t look my age, that’s why I can get away with it.

I like long hair- even on older women.

As you get older you hair thins and gets drier. A shorter hair do is usually what you need so it looks and feels fuller. For me anyway.

Or you have think hair & you have arthritis in your Elbow & want an easy to dry the hair- my hair is shoulder length & layers just frizz so to me a long bob with face framing layers works well

Just cause your older doesn’t mean to go to hairdresser and cut it off they love chopping long hair off

I wear my hair long as I find it easier to manage and also can wear it up . My stylist helps me keep it in top condition with regular trims and treatments. I like the flexibility longer hair offers me 😊

Yes! No doubt these are cute haircuts, but I'm enjoying the variety of looks I can right now have with longer hair.

Getting older doesn't mean going shorter. Some mid to shoulder cuts would be nice.

normally very short cuts on older women make them look even older but not in this case. The short cuts are gorgeous, some very 60s. This guy is very talented.

Oh lordy No. Don't make every lady look like a tennis player. This hairstyle has left the gate.

I wish you would show what hairstyles work for those of us who have really thin hair after menopause.

I'm just glad they didn't give that woman with the gorgeous long dark hair a short style. The cut they gave her was perfect. Enough with the short cuts, let's get some shoulder length, or collarbone length, cuts in there too!

I think many of these women went home and cried over the beautiful hair that was cut off. When your older it takes forever to get your hair that long. Why do they just relegate older women to short hair? The first woman and the woman at 2:22 had absolutely gorgeous hair and they didn't look very happy with the cut. I've had that look before at the salon. My thought during this video, is how much more money is made by stylist when women have short hair that needs frequent cuts in order to look good.

The stylist is a master haircutter - every single woman gained volume and improved silhouette

Why don’t these things ever show curly hair styles? There are lots of people with curly hair in the world!

Why is every older women makeover, short hair? Typically, when I see a older woman with longer hair, and it's healthy I think she looks younger. Short hair as a set standard is like saying, I am done looking pretty, and now I have to look boring.

Short back, longer sides etc. It's the modern replacement for the blue rinse perm. What's the alternative now to crimplene and saddles with tights for the older woman 👵 😂😂

It would be interesting to see what these cuts look like without allthe styling gel, wax, blowdrying, etc. Are they still attractive, or do they look mousey? What will they look likt to eh people who see them at home, living day-to-day?

I Love these cuts. I’m a huge fan of the undercut whether your hair is long or short. If it’s thick, get some of the bulk out. For me, short hair is easier to make professional vs my long and unruly hair that would go frizzy.

I’ve had short hair & longer hair & longer is by far easier to maintain & more versatile! It’s also cheaper, most if not all of these styles need a lot more maintenance & constant trimming than longer hair in my opinion

I had middle length hair, and grew it out so long carefree do nothing on it, gets lots of compliments from teens and adult women strangers on my long hair but it's so frizzy, maybe the photos don't really show it off or something. Anyways, wanting to cut if off to mid length again, but sort of wanting to defy my previous misconception about older women having to have short hair, which is why I had mid length.
