His two kids and amane chose to stay with kagaya. As you can see amane was so calm, and the two kids outside don't mind muzan being near them. It is because they already know their fate, and they chose to stay with kagaya till the end. That's what you call "Loyalty".

Yeah also Muzan would have never took the bait if he was alone so the wife and the kids were necessary to lull Muzan into a false sense of security.

Kagaya's speech about stepping on a tiger's tail and unleashing the dragon's wrath also alludes to yin and yang. Muzan isn't alive or dead; he just exists. He is stuck in a state between life and death, creating an imbalance. That's why Kagaya mentions the tiger and the dragon, which represent yin and yang. Muzan is BETWEEN the tiger and the dragon, destroying the harmony. It's almost as if, because Muzan has lived past his lifespan, he is drawing the life force from the Ubuyashiki family just to balance it out. I also love how this show handles the existential theme of eternity, contrasting the eternity of demons with that of humanity. It emphasizes that permanence should not be sought in the flesh but in metaphysical concepts. The hanafuda earring, Kagura dance, Yoriichi Type 0, and the sword hidden inside itᅳall of these are examples of this theme. They are important not because they are material things, but because of the sentimental and emotional value they inherit. They were passed down, serving as evidence of someone's existence, their feelings, and their connection to this world even after their physical form is gone. It also ties into Muzan's monologue about change and why he dislikes it from the previous season. He desires an unchanging eternity, while human eternity is constantly changing. Feelings, knowledge, values, and traditions change as they are passed on to new generations and evolve over time. As well we change over time both our bodies and minds. Can you really say that you're alive when there is no change in your emotions, body, and mind? Even plants wilt and change over time. Muzan as a character represents humanity's natural impulse/drive for survival, stagnation, and loneliness in death; he is the antithesis to humanity's concept of eternity. The whole setup for their conversation was great. The contrast between a man on his dying bed lecturing, the being that existed for more than thousand years, about the nature of permanence is fantastic. This creates a unique characters dynamic within the conversation. It was explained in the manga that Kagaya's voice inhabits the '1/F Fluctuation' or 'pink noise.' It's a type of frequency that makes people calm. A lot of public speakers, like politicians, have that (yes it's a real thing). In season 1, when Tanjiro met Kagaya, he said that his voice made him feel like he was floating. It could also be the case that Muzan had a child after he became a demon, and because of that, children from the Ubuyashiki family were born with a genetic defect that was just passed down. In the early 1900s, medicine in Japan wasn't that advanced, so people would just call illnesses a curse. Also it would make sense that if they defeat him, his influence on Ubuyashiki would disappear together with other demons. But it could go either way. Ufotable gave instructions for Opening song lyrics to be written as if Muzan and Kagaya were having a conversation from this episode. I won't post the full lyrics, but these are my favorite parts: -"To you who don't know the meaning of eternity It's time to show the answer. Who is waiting at the end of the (eternal) spiral stretching towards fleeting dreams and illusions" -"My reason sounds like an excuse Because weakness that hauled in an empty future Is something you’re mistaking for strength"

As a manga reader, this episode made me SPEECHLESS. I been waiting for this scene of the Hashiras falling into the Infinity Castle for years now😭 Ufotable for real outdone themselves with this episode and I’m sure that many of the Manga readers are absolutely Impressed! This episode also had some Anime Original scenes within this episode which had its own twist compare to the manga so everything got me shaking!

My father, who adored my brother, told me that he did not hate others, but put his pride and family first, which keeps me thinking about my own life.

In my opinion, his daughters wanted to sacrifice themselves with them, because the fact that they were there at that moment would have made Muzan believe that he could rest easy, that there was no danger. Plus they would have died with the family curse sooner or later so maybe they preferred to sacrifice themselves to give the hashiras a chance to defeat him after they had weakened him. However the graphics of the episode was formidable, Ufotable in my opinion has outdone itself even further with this episode, I can't wait to see what they will do with the films! The explosion looked real, they did great! 🥲😊❤‍🔥

That sense of dread to me kicked in when the music amped up with Zenitsu. There’s no backsies now, no checkpoint, no pitstop…from here on out its do or die. Now is the time for revenge, redemption, remembrance, despair, hope, forgiveness, pain, courage…this is why Tanjiro started, this why the Hashira’s struggled, this is why Tamayo endured, and nobody is safe anymore. You are not meeting anyone after this and the only time to make peace with anything is right before u hit the floor. Then Zenitsu opened his eyes. This is IT!

I am so unbelievably hyped for the Infinity Castle trilogy! When it comes out in theaters I’ll jog there to see it if I have to! Also fun fact; this is the highest rated episode of Demon Slayer with a nearly perfect score of 9.9/10 on IMDB

So I don't know if anyone clarified this in the comments, but in the post credits when Rengoku talks to them. It's to reinforce Kagaya's claim about how the human spirit is eternal. Rengoku lives forever in the hearts of those he's impacted.

From what I know, the two children insisted hard on staying and getting blown up, both to help with letting Muzan's guard down and to show their loyalty to their father and their cause. Not sure about whether Amane was always part of the plan or if she fought to stay by Kagaya's side too. But I love that their love was real even if they were arranged to be married at first.

Settings not mentioned in the animation Ubuyashiki succeeded to the family at age 4 (his father committed suicide), married Amane at age 13, Amane was 17 at the time

His wife and 2 eldest daughters(he has 3 younger daughters) knew about the plan and chose to stay by his side. His wife embracing him and praying before the explosion hits way harder knowing that. All of the Ubuyashiki's want revenge and this PoS.

The black hair was a boy. You gonna see him in infinity castle arc. He being a guid in demon slayer who trapped in castle using the crows and blood demon of yoshiro.

If you remember upper 4 had found 60% of the demon slayers in the last episodes, so if she didn’t find the other 40% by this episode, that’s how majority of the corps is now in the infinity castle. Zenitsu is locked innnnn and im ready for it. Also something cool I’ve seen mentioned, Muzan has only taken care to know two humans names, Ubuyashiki and Tanjiro, just shows the effect they’ve had on him that he’s remembered their names and considered them enemies considering his power level.

"Hinokami" (1x19) and "Never Give Up" (2x17) director Toshiyuki Shirai will be the main director and storyboard artist for the first film in the trilogy. About 8 thousand illustrations have already been drawn for the first film; for example, Mugen Train drew no more than 5 thousand illustrations. The first film will have a longer running time than Mugen Train.

I’ll also add- Ubuyashiki’s plan originally was to only kill himself but his family wanted to join him in the afterlife. Also upper moon 1 name is kokushibo. Ubuyashiki also has a son who will show up in the infinity castle arc so the ubuyashiki bloodline hasn’t ended.

This was the best episode for me. "Never give up" is a really good episode, but the situation in this episode is just much more important. Everyone seeing Muzan for the first time, trying to attack him after the Master died, getting sucked into the castle, etc. Also this season's writing was just that much better than season 2's writing. Oh and the children are dead, like dead dead. And I actually like the fact there is a trilogy coming instead of another season. Movie format just works much better for drawn out battles. Just as Mugen Train worked way better as a movie.

They all wanted to die with Kagaya, all the five kids wanted to but only the 2 oldest were approved. Muzan was just wrongly portrait him as a snake and would do anything to get his revenge, you know the man won't do that to any of his family, both real and not.

Kagaya Ubuyashiki, his wife, and two daughters blew themselves up when Muzan made an appearance. This was all a part of Ubuyashiki’s plan. In chapter 144 of the manga series, it was revealed that his two daughters, Hinaki and Nichika, didn't want to leave their father alone. the fact that kagaya has the same voice actor as minato (naruto dad) and both the characters sacrificed their lives for the sake of their children is really heartwarming

Ubuyashiki talked his shit to Muzan's face then blew them all up taking away the satisfaction of killing him. He's that guy. Edit: Gyomei's breathing technique to block Muzan's attack was very similar to Uzui's in season 2. Makes me think Gyomei is just Uzui with +5 stats in everything except maybe speed

Spoilers: Zenitsu's master commited seppuku after he found out his other student(Kaigaku) became a demon(Upper Rank 6). Zenitsu is on the war path and does not even care about Muzan atm.

Ir you understand Japanese culture you can tell that Ubuyashiki’s wife and the two of their five children volunteered to stay with him till the last moment. That is not surprising at all. And he didn’t kill his bloodline either. There was always the first male child to carry on the lineage, and this very boy was NOT with his father this time. Naturally, he was kept in a safe place so he could lead the demon slayers after the father’s death.

Fun fact: ubuyashiki didnt want his wife and kids to be there but they refuse to leave his side 😢

Fun Fact about Inosuke : WHY IS HE LAUGHING? Basically, he didn't get any information and wasn't accompanied by even a single crow. When he suddenly teleported to the Infinity Castle, he didn't know what urgent situation would occur, but instead, he laughed excitedly just because he enjoyed killing demons. as simple as that.

The ost at the end is one of the best of all time imo

Ubuyashiki has 5 heirs: 4 girls with white hair and a boy with black hair. It was Ubuyashiki's plan to blow himself up along with his wife and children. Both children sacrificed their lives together with their parents. Of the remaining three children, 1/3 was a dark-haired man who would lead the unit and take the place of his father who had died.😢

The sisters of the Master's children never left their parents. I think because they were raised strictly from an early age and understood the mission of the Ubuyashiki family, Hinaki and Nichika chose to remain in the mansion with their parents and die in the bombing of their own volition. Perhaps, they dared to stay because they thought that if there were too few people left in the mansion, Muzan would find out that it was a trap. All to defeat Muzan. Still, it was heartbreaking that Kagaya, Amane, and the sisters were all hit by a large number of makibishis at the same time the bomb went off. Incidentally, the "New Year's counting song" that the sisters sang while playing with paper balloons has 12 verses, and the 12th verse says, "We will perform the twelve Kagura dances and offer them to the New Year god." It's like a Hinokami Kagura.

The end credit scene where Tanjiro and Mitsuri hear Rengoku is a call back to the Master's quote on Eternity. Despite Rengoku being dead. His memory and soul lives in Eternity with those he fought and lived with. That's what the Master was trying to explain to Muzan but Muzan doesn't understand that because he's only center around himself. If Muzan dies, his followers disappear. If Ubayishiki dies, the demon slayers are still there to remember him. And after those demon slayers, their family will also remember their stories too. And it goes on for eternity so long as someone remembers/tells their story.

Tbh I was shocked at first too that Ubuyashiki blew not only himself up but his wife and children too. But we have to remember that this is Japan. If we put the demons and all aside , Japan was and still is deeply infused with a sense of honour and duty. I remember reading a newspaper article about a Japanese police officer who tried to evacuate a building and not being able to save everyone. He was later found dead of suicide because he couldn't live with the shame. It deeply saddens me but I also have a lot of respect for these people who have such high morals and stand by them non matter what. The wife of Ubuyashiki and his two oldest children iirc were absolutely on board with being blown to pieces. Because that's their duty, to do everything humanly possibly to defeat Muzan. And don't forget that Muzan would've killed them all in a far more gruesome way than being blown apart, it also prevented Muzan from turning those 4 into demons.

The minute Zennitsu enters screen, he literally becomes the main character of the show man, BEAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
