You could also add efficiency to the hoe, it's been made to be the fastest way to break a lot of vegetation blocks :)

1. You forgot the Impaling enchantment option for the trident! 2. I like putting the Smite enchantment on my axe so I can one shot zombies and skeletons since sharpness is on my sword. 3. You can also put fortune on a hoe to get more item drops when harvesting crops! Thank you, super helpful video!

Add the Thorns to the Protection IV book (that order) costing 4 exp if you want Thorns It'll cost 20 exp to add to the armor but is one way to add Thorns to the mix

I'm super late with this, but some very important advice: ENCHANT YOUR GEAR BEFORE REINFORCING IT WITH NETHERITE. Diamond gear is cheaper to enchant than Netherite, so enchant it first, then add the Netherite ingots to your gear afterwards.

Fire aspect sets you on fire as much as it sets mobs on fire. Just use flame on your bow. Knock back sucks when fighting nether mobs. You don’t want to knock back skeletons or blazes. Sure it’s great against creepers and wither skeletons.

Another reason to not use frost walker on the boots is because if you are going to water bucket clutch the water will turn into ice and you will take damage(learned this the hard way)

Each item that is added in an anvil has a hidden value called an anvil use. if you put highly smashed together items together, it costs more xp. This is why the YT does the specific enchanting order. But I agree you shouldn't enchant first because there's a high likelihood you don't even get half the stuff you want

@@heinrichskies don’t do it all at once. Lower levels take MUCH less time to get than higher levels. Since you don’t need to get to a certain level (like level 30 on an enchantment table) to combine them, it should take not long for each enchantment as you can get multiple levels at a lower level from just killing a few mobs. If you have an XP grinder, even less time.

Just a tip: Don't use combined enchanted books (e.g. 6 unbreaking 1s to make an unbreaking 3 book) since this will make the combination of this book to other books more expensive. I messed up twice by doing this... Please, don't do the same mistake I did. I combined a lot of sharpness 1 books to make a sharpness 5 book, now it costs me 20 exp levels to combine a unenchanted diamond sword with the sharpness 5 book I have. Hence, making the enchantment "Too Expensive!" at the end. I wasted more than 200 emeralds and more than 80 levels by doing that.

*THINGS TO NOTE:* It cost less XP to enchant Diamond with books than Netherite, but if you enchant Netherite in the Enchantment table, it has better odds of giving more/better enchants despite costing the same. Also, You can NOT get Sharpness V in a Enchantment Table, or from Villagers. You must get two level IV's and combine them. I do not believe that Sharpness IV may be traded for and it's also rare to find in the Enchantment Table, but don't be discouraged because combing Sharpness III books until you get sharpness V might make the final product too expensive in the anvil and not work depending on how many enchants you wish to have. You may however, find them in Strongholds or Endcity's, but im not 100% sure if you can. Another thing to note, if you struggle finding the right enchant, you can Enchant than disenchant the item until it gives you some of the Enchants needed, than you can just add the books from there. Remember though, that a single book should only have 3 enchants or else it will most likely become to much XP for other books to be applied.

Just note that the enchantments can be combined even more efficiently than shown in the video, some examples: Boots: ((Boots + Soul) + (Depth + Mending)) + ((Feather + Unbreaking) + Protection) 12 + 10 + 2 + 17 + 3 + 5 = 49 (vs 51 in video) Helmet: ((Helmet + Respiration) + (Protection + Mending)) + (Unbreaking + Aqua) 6 + 8 + 2 + 9 + 2 = 27 (vs 33 in video) Sword: ((Sword + Sweeping) + (Looting + Mending)) + (Sharpness + Unbreaking) 6 + 10 + 2 + 12 + 3 = 33 (vs 41 in video) The combinations shown in the video are pretty good, but not optimal. ;-)

It's stuff like this that makes me think enchanting levels should just be normalized to whatever the most optimal order would be. There's no real reason to have such wildly different costs for the same end product.

Tip: I recommend puting fire aspect on your sword and efficency on your axe, so you can alternate them to kill anything faster

Then again, shears cannot (be enchanted on a table) and require a book and are frequently-enough used, and not even with Looting. does anyone know if combining the single enchants first then doing multiple will make the cost go up? For example instead of having a prot IV book I have 2 prot III that I combine into prot IV. I then go to put mending on this book. Will combining this book with mending be more expensive or have the same cost as a book that started with prot IV?

@@coertain Thorns is really useful. Especially when combined with mending. As long as you're not purposely letting mobs hit you to do damage to them it is good to have on your armor to deal extra damage if any enemy attacks get through. It's amazing in pvp as well.

You can put Impaling 5 on a riptide trident idk if it works on Java but in bedrock yes you can put Impaling 5 on it so extra damage in some cases if you want to put one

i would recommend having smite 5 on an axe if you have a sharpness sword, you can one shot undead mobs (zombies and skeletons) without even having to crit them, and it is more convenient than carrying 2 swords. it just makes fighting mobs easier.

I was going to comment something similar, but IMO the reason to put smite on the axe is that axes are already buffed against undead mobs. I believe Python made a Smite 5 axe once to use on the wither and it was so quick at taking the wither down.

the issue is on hard difficulty, undead mobs will most likely be wearing an armor and they wont be 1hit. so tbh sharpness is much better

@@redwheat333 That was actually a longstanding bug which was fixed. Thorns used to do extra durability damage but no longer does.

I highly recommned using Sharpness on the sword and Smite on the axe so it can one shot undead mobs

I prefer vice versa, because sword can 1 shot undead too, does way better with sweeping edge and most of swarming mobs in mc are undead (besides piglins), affects the most common part in this game which is undead. I tested both sharpness 5 and smite 5 swords in my hardcore world and I felt way more comfortable with smite 5 because it one shots almost everyone, overworld, skeletons and drowneds every where, nether, I am in nether wastes where zombified piglins dominate, end, then I use sharpness

Contrary to popular belief, sweeping edge does not allow you to hit more mobs at once, but it increases the sweeping attack damage.

Fire aspect and flame really helps saving time for cooking food lol

Flame > Fire aspect. If you use a bow in offhand with looting 3 sword on main hand then you will apply the looting on flame kills. This is better because endermen are impossible to kill with fire aspect since they'll teleport away.

I love it when people leave bloopers like 10:15 in, especially Lauri's reaction, "Oh." [continues like nothing happened} Also, note that you can put Efficiency, Silk Touch, and Fortune on hoes* because they can be used to break certain blocks in 1.16+, and that an Efficiency IV diamond shovel can insta-mine every 1.17 shovel block, making Efficiency V unnecessary. I'd say only put Efficiency V on your shovel if that's your Villager's trade. *It said "on a hoe" until a commenter below pointed out the non-plural implication.

iirc, silk touch pick axe can mine anything that can be mined with silk touch but snow. snow need silk touch shovel, so you only need silk touch on your pick axe and shovel.

Fire aspect is helpful on sword as it gives cooked food when you kill the animals if you don't have a food farm

Fact - also add Silktouch and efficiency 5 on hoe, which helps to break hay very fast and also allow to break leaves faster and more durablity

@@terefefurgasa8303 protection 4 reduce every damage even fire damage but not as much as fire protection 4 but at the same time fire protection doesn't reduce other damage so protection 4 is the best choice for protection

Fortune 3 also gives more crops when you mine potatoes or carrots, with melons it gives more melons, and with wheat and i think beetroot’s it just gives more seeds

i've litterally finished enchanting most of mu gear today too. 😅

for the leggings and chestplate you can do it in only 11 levels by combining the mending and unbreaking 3 book and applying prot 4 and the mending and unbreaking book

Nice video! Just a small correction at 8:15. The cost to put together Riptide lll and Mending is just 2 lvls, but in the screen it's 3 it should be 2 + 3 + 10 = 15 instead of 3 + 3 + 10 = 15

You have forgotten thorns in armor (Chestplate and leggings). I think the flame on the bow is fantastic, because you can one shoot almost any obstil mob. if you enchant first with enchanting table and then with books save levels.

Helmet: Respiration + Mending Prot + Aqua Affinity Put the above books together Helmet + Unbreaking Helmet + Big Book Chestplate: Prot + Mending Chestplate + Unbreaking Chestplate + Big Book Leggings: Same as Chestplate but probably adding Swift Sneak?? Boots: Boots + Mending Depth Strider + Prot Boots + Big Book 1 Soul Speed + Unbreaking Feather Falling + Big Book 2 Boots + Big Book 3 Pickaxe: Effi + Mending Silk Touch or Fortune + Unbreaking Apply Big Books to pickaxe (doesn't matter which way)

My crafting lvl for a diamond sword + sharpness V is 20 lvls then while at 40 lvls i cant combine the book with the sword it says its too expensive

axe isn't supposed to be used as a weapon, because it takes 2 durability damage when used as a weapon But still a great option in pvp as it disables shields

It doesn't really count as a weapon, that's why it takes 2 durability damage when used to hit mobs/players but 1 when mining, and vice versa with the sword.

@@2jz735 That logic is flawed to say the very least. Just because it takes multiple durability per attack means it's not a weapon? Even when the item accepts sharpness, smite and bane of arthropods? Even when the item is sold by the WEAPONsmith including those enchantments? Even when the item has a high base damage? Considering all those facts it seems really stupid to say it's not a weapon just because it takes 2 durability per hit. It's a weapon, just objectively worse than using a sword.

It's always a good idea to try to use a level 30 enchanting table, since you can get a couple of max enchants for only 3 levels (depending on how many tries)

More often than not, you get undesirable enchants. A visit to the grindstone will return only a fraction of the XP; it is a waste.

@@viporal7898 I was replying to you? As you said that having xp was the issue ._. But also the way I play is to get full enchanted netherite gear is to get diamond gear as diamonds are easy to acquire.. then once it’s fully max enchanted you combine them in an anvil and then make it netherite.
