Tiger Cage 1-2, In The Line Of Duty 4, Legend Of The Wolf, SPL, Flash Point, Ip Man 1-4, The Lost Bladesman, Wu Xia/Dragon, Special ID, Big Brother, Raging Fire. Try finding other action movies exactly like the aforementioned movies. Yen's onscreen presence and overall style makes him stand out from other action performers, and there's a great reason why he is highly regarded as a martial arts actor. You can argue that everyone else after Bruce Lee is doing the same thing. Today's standards in stage combat have gone up so high that it's very hard to top stuff that was done years ago. Not just new moves but how everything is captured and put together. That being said, guys like Jackie Chan, Sammo Hung, Jet Li, Donnie Yen, and Tony Jaa have managed to create fight scenes that are fresh and unique thanks to their expertise and imagination in filmmaking and performing.

I love that his expression does not change, regardless..

Maybe because Donnie Yen's IP Man series come a little bit late.after all, IP Man I came out in 2008.Before IP Man series, although Donnie Yen did acted well in some TV series and movies, he was not always the main character. As a action movie star, you got to have your representative work to be remembered by. That's why Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan and Jet Li are more renowned.

Ip man will always be his best and first ever film trilogy about how this one Chinese legend went through the cruel Japanese occupation in the mid 30s, took down disrespectful foreigners, trained the mighty Bruce lee that became a legend that will never be defeated to the entire time till his last appearance in Ip man 4. no matter what people say Donnie yen as ip man is his best movie performance.

The speed of his punch's are truly incredible, Go Donny Yen.

Love DY. Not only a brawler (US style when he needs to be - with professionalism and panache of course), but so articulate and incredibly skilled with every style he has done. I'm a fan of Jackie CHAN, Chuck Norris, JCVD, and a few others, but when I saw the first First Ip Man, yeah DY is sitting right on top, don't see that changing. My fav fight scene so far (and I'm yet to see them all) is Flash Point, with another incredible martial artist, Colin Chou. Kung Fu Killer with Wang BX, yet another. Legend of the Fist in that white outfit, dang, thankyou DY, thankyou. ;-) So many to enjoy with so little time, lol.

Yen is a bad boy in his movies. My favorite martial artist.

Kung Fu Killer is such a great movie too. That final fight is legendary.

I really need to watch Legend of the Fist. I've seen the Bruce Lee orginal version, but I didn't realize Donnie Yen did a new one (guess it's a sequel, according to Wikipedia.) This guy got to play Bruce Lee (a character he played, but Donnie is basically channeling pure Bruce Lee here) AND Bruce Lee's master Ip Man. That's just badass. I've seen his whole Ip Man quadrilogy and loved it, plus the spin-off the main antagonist from Ip Man 3 did (Master Z, I think it was called.)

the series version is better in my opinion (Donnie was the protagonist but died in the end of course), as it shared more drama and story line as to how he became the best fighter in that fictional era.
