    The sequel to this, Master of the Flying Guillotine, has a yoga master that is very clearly the inspiration for Dhalsim. 70s martial arts films were a HUGE influence on fighting games, super clear.

    Okay, I think this is officially the most preposterous Kung Fu cinema fight I’ve ever watched, and I loved it. You knew that one fighter would be good when the theme to Shaft started playing. That is, until, he had his arm chopped off by that Wolfman/Dracula looking wild man character! 🤣

    Bruce lee was prior to this. Bruce lee was as slow as these fights here and had around 3 times more cuts in his scenes. I have no idea, what you are talking about. Bruce lee movies are totally boring. Just the production was much better and more expensive. The fights were 0. The next step in martial arts was Jackie Chan. This guys fight scenes and the ones of his team mates are so underrated, mostly because of the comical characters he played. But their fighting scenes were next level. In my opinion Jackie Chans fighting scenes are unreached until this day.

    Well, Kung Fu was introduced to Shaolin Temple by Bodhidhama, who was a monk from Tamil Nadu. Besides, India itself has it's own martial arts. Kalaripayattu, Silambam, many more. In the north, we have malla-yudha, musti-yuddha and many other weapons styles. So, not surprising at all.

    When i saw this in the 70's the name of the movie was "The Chinese Professionals". Jimmy Wang Yu played the titular hero once again in "Master of The Flying Guillotine".

    that one's good too, but it's borderline plotless so I'd call this movie a little better. The choreography feels a little better in places in this movie too. That punch at 8:40 feel brutal.

In the Three Kingdoms, General Xiahuan losts his eye from an arrow and he took the arrow out at that very moment and ate his own eye.

    It is a quick stance to get their blood running, basically a warm up so there is a reason. All singers, musicians, artists, etc do that. This is only a movie but it happens in the real world.

    Thank you, thank you, thank you. I can not thank you enough for posting this. I was a fourteen year old kid back in 1974 when I snuck into the theatre to see my first kung fu movie and this was it. This and master of the flying guillotine are my favorite kung fu movies of all time.

    Crazy fight scene! The tripped out part was that when the bandaged guy took out a few dudes, it gave you hope that they had a chance. The demon martial artist squashed all that though. 😄
