Germany is not land locked my brother. I respect your honesty about the places you don't like. France was very unkind to Haiti. Just a side note.

Colonizers were always "unkind" to their victims including France...Along the same line so were the Brits to Americans...

I am so surprised not to see Estonia in the list or any Asian country and surprised to see Dubai which expats constantly cannot respect rules of and get easily in trouble with the law which is super strict

@@Karl__Pierre I meant it more as a place to have a permanent base :) I currently split my time between US/Brazil/Spain. I am Venezuelan-American :) been living in the US since '99 and have been to 20 countries or so. The US is fantastic for me because of the 1) Stability 2) Rule of Law 3) Business / Networking Opportunities. 4) Entrepreneurial Mentality. I see myself keeping at least one property in the US forever. Granted, that's what works for me. I know different people value different things.

I live in Canada, it a great place but big cities are $$$$ for housing, rural areas are where it's at. FYI Quebec can be a bit cold to no french speaking people and a bit racist by Canadian standards.

Not surprised that Americans want to be in Western economies when they expat but, that's unfortunate coz countries like Colombia, Mexico and Brazil offer incredible quality of life for a fraction of what it costs in the US

The UK? I live in Spain and Brits who have the means are fleeing England and many are relocating here or to other places in Europe or even Asia!!!! Spain isn't the best place for educated people of color especially in the South as even Spanish Northerners have a problem with some of the antiquated ways and narrow minded mindset here. Maybe Ireland would be a good place but I have have hearing many complaints about how difficult it is to move to England, for example. The drastic change in societal norms and the dramatic rise in expenses are off-putting. Canada, apparently is going down the tubes ,too, politically and economically and many Canadians are moving elsewhere in the world. In the future, perhaps you could speak with several people who live in each country before making suggestions about moving there. Trust those Expats/immigrants who speak the language of the country and have been living in it more than 3 or 4 years. We can tell you the pros and cons and if we're not sure of the answer, we can talk to friends who are Nationals of the country. But, anyway, thank you very much for your efforts and for your content. Best wishes on your success.

Canada??? There is an exodus of Canadians outbound into Mexico, Panama, EU and other areas. Many of your picks are not on other expat-oriented content producers' lists. I enjoy your content but this time I believe that you are way off the mark.

Eu moro no Brasil . . . quase dezesseis anos agora. ( l live in Brasil . . . almost 16 years now). I live in Southern Brazil. I like Uruguay, Argentina and much of LATAM. I enjoyed Mexico, Panama, and Colombia. I thought that Medellin, Colombia or Boquete, Panama was it for me in 2007 and 2009 respectively. I am glad that I did not get too tied up in either as the quality of life has been compromised with the arrival of higher densities of nomads/expats. I am invested in the Southern Cone region as it suits me well. I am comfortable here as I speak English (I am American by birth), Portuguese, and Spanish. I used to love Floripa, but it has been compromised for the last 10 years since the nomad/expat spotlight was placed on it. For the last several years I have been living away from nomad/expat-dense areas. I think assimilation into the place where one lives is of utmost importance and learning the process of expatriating is a powerful means by which individuals can find a high quality of life and personal autonomy. Most recently minted nomad/expats think don't understand this concept which puts them at risk in a highly dynamic world.
