It was time for an upgrade. My 50 year old stick welder was showing its fatigue and it was time for a new one. Since I rarely need a stick welder , I chose this welder from Amazon and paid just 70 bucks for it. I figured it had to be better than my old one.
After some testing and evaluation, This thing rocks. Being able to set the amperage on the dial was a huge improvement. The more robust ground wire and stinger made this much easier to use as well. This is a great welder in its simplest form. Great for anyone new to welding or for someone who could use an extra welder in the collection. This also makes a great gift idea.
