I ranked them on: Price, Amps, Accessories, Warranty, Features, and how they weld.

Esab 180i pro here, what sold me is the consistency of the machine. I can weld thin 1/16 thin materials at 38 amps with 1/16 6013. On the other hand can weld thick steel given proper beveling / prep.

Just completed the break-in period and so far the unit is operating perfectly kzread.infoUgkxOTeIs0vv4_9B5hsmnLsk9r930uDQLu_Y . I was amazed by just how quiet this little guy is. I kept having to walk down the driveway to the generator to make sure it was still running. In fact, the most annoying noise coming from the set-up is a high-pitched chirping coming from the pressure regulator on the propane line. I suppose it's possible my other propane-powered generator's pressure regulator is making the same noise, but the generator itself is so loud I've never noticed it. Build quality so far is excellent. My only nit is the service panel is a little tricky to remove. I feel like I might break off one of the plastic tabs when bending it back. I probably just need to work out the technique, so will not hold it against Champion.Next week I intend to fully load the unit to charge a large battery pack and will update this review if there's any problem (3000W continuous load vs a rated 3100W capacity while using propane). Absent any trouble there, I'm 100% pleased with this purchase.

I have the Simder Arc200. Got it for $60 shipped from Amazon. I can't belive how well these cheap welders work. Gets alot of work done. The only major negative points are the false advertised output and the inaccurate display. On 240v I measured 115amps with the dial maxed reading 201amps running 1/8 6013. Running 3/32 6013 with the dial at100amps you get about 70amps. At 130amps on the dial, you get 90mps. Overall these machines are a great value.
Great info. Thanks for making this video.

I have some high quality 4AWG copper and am planning to buy a decent electrode holder/solid copper ground clamp to make my own cables. I wonder how much of a difference this would make using a cheap inverter stick welder? I will upgrade to a Hobart eventually but am impressed enough with some of the

I bought a cheap flux 135 y.welder to run stick off of, an really it never has done good for that. Like awful. But, it does run .035 flux core like a banshee. Awesome, tons of power, smooth as smooth, and five rolls of wire into it now and I've never had a single hic up. An I'm never maxed out on the settings either. Even on 3/16", an I can appreciate that. We've all ran the ones that are always maxed, an probably wouldn't touch 3/16 like this one does. Honestly, I only speak so highly of it because it shouldn't be this slick! An for a hundred bucks, easy choice. It's not a 2,200 miller

Is the video at 02:45 wrong? I think it should be like 10% off, or 90% right... is that a typo? Did he say if he was running off 110 or 220?
I'm waiting for the Dollar Tree line.
The Titanium has built-in auto Hot Start and Arc Force, it's not in the literature. Another guy did a video about it.

It strikes and arc easily so I don't doubt it has those features but the other welders has adjustments to those features.
What gets me on the 120/240v welders is when they use a 120v plug that needs to be adapted to 240v, that’s how you catch them on fire.
@-DIYPRO-

I agree 110%! I was one of the first to test ArcCaptains welders and that was one of my suggestions. They actually listened and if you pick up a new one they come with a 240V plug from the machine and then add the 120 adapter.

Hi, I recently bought a Amico electric, 200 amps multi-purpose 3 in1 welder, from Amazon. I got the the welder. However i discovered, it have a factory defect,(the wire speed dial isn't working). I informed Amazon about it. They asked that I return the item. However to do so is costing more than i bought it for. I am outside the usa. So I am left stuck with a a defective product.

Hi, I'm having issues with this machine to weld with E6013 3/32 rods. It constantly stinking to the metal and its a pain in the neck to get it to wok.. i was trying 90-140Amp , current is 110 DC. If I'm right, the current in my home I'm talking about.. what can you tell me to get this to work.? I take the rods back to home Depot early.

No, it was right in line with those (2). I believe I put it just a step above because it struck an arc without sticking or it did it quicker. Regardless those 3 welded very similar.
I used the Esab while tiggin in a couple 10” schedule 80 fittings on 110v mode for a company that was too lazy or stupid to bring in a welder that was more appropriate- was way beyond capability for 110 but that’s what we had. Anyway, it made this god awful whistle sound through the torch while it was fired up- absolutely obnoxious. Never used a welder that did that before or since.
