I'm so glad you're tackling these topics. Most everyone else seems to think nobody ever commutes on their bikes or doesn't mind looking like a tool when they arrive. Everything is all uncompromised sport gear, cruiser gear, or off-road gear. Seeing moto gear that doesn't look explicitly moto is nice.

It's especially harder in non-western countries to find good protective gear that doesn't make me look like a sci-fi alien robot. No one here will ever rock a full set of racing track gear on their ridiculously underpowered 125 cc scooter whilst averaging at 30kmph in city traffic.

I've got the Outlander GTX boots. Can confirm, they're incredible. They're legitimately comfortable for walking, not just comfortable for-a-moto-boot. And the BOA system is strong, simple, and I never get hot spots.

My dad is 5'5 and he is riding ADV since '95. You can shorten the rear shock, lower the front one and adjust preload settings (if possible) so you can touch the ground while on the bike.

I've been using the Outlander GTX boots since March of 2018 and have been very pleased with them. They are my commuting boots. Very slick on ice but otherwise a solid boot and zero issues with the BOA system.

I've paid close to $300 for decent hikers, so $350 isn't that outrageous considering they're decent motorcycle boots too.

Shame on you for not giving my XSR900 a better review. I love mine and it really is an awesome machine that looks so much better than is other naked bike counter parts. Your camping light video was great and I’d love to see some more. Your one of the most best KZread reviewers out there. I don’t think you could say you are small time at this point.
