Thanks John, love the simplicity/reuse/robust/cheap nature of it. By the way, as a growing number of people are using really fast crossbows, it would be interesting to see a test of the Firenock swingblade broadheads. Highly efficient aerodynamics, and he uses impact wrench metal in the pins that hold the blades. But do you have a high speed crossbow (like a Scorpyd for example)? If not, would you be interested in me doing a test using your methods? I'm not a seller or affiliate, just a former scientist who appreciates the independent testing you do/share. I can send you a broadhead if you want. Thanks again John!

Thank you. I'm considering using a crossbow for an accuracy test to add to my 2024 regimen. I'd be happy to test them, but I need at least 3 new heads to do a proper test.

I bought 2 pks those crock 125s off ur latest video just got them and man I didn't no a broadhead could be that dull I have butter knives sharper than these things but with the price I wasn't expecting alot but they definitely surprised me after seeing your experience with them i just ordered bowmars new heads so im gonna use those an sevr on whitetail this season I would've liked a solid head for rut but probably gonna stick with mechanicals since atleast there sharp out the pack I have several sets of different brand solid heads that are completely dull right outta package only ones I received sharp is exodus and tooth of the arrows I am in process of finding something solid with larger cut that's atleast sharp is the main thing an that's harder to find than I expected

Thanks for sharing that. I'm not sure what happened with the sharpening of those Crocs. Mine were super sharp. Now a thick, single bevel won't "feel" as sharp as a double bevel, due to the steep bevel angle. But that doesn't mean it's not sharp. Test it carefully by trying to cut paper with it or something like that. And they're pretty easy to sharpen, especially with a Stay Sharp Guide.

i bought one from amazon gor 12 bucks . it holds 15 broadheads and i keep my sharpening jigs with it. It has light foam and slots for the ferrules to sit in so they dont get dulled by the foam.

Well, this is for extra heads...obviously.

I actually do this, i carry instant coffee, creamer and sugar in those as well.. Question for you. Actually 2. If money didn't matter, what broadhead would you use? Or if you were on a budget, what broadhead would you use?

Man, I use so many different heads. The ones that do very well in my testing, I try to use in the field. If you watch my bowhunting vids--there are more than 80 of them here, you can see the various heads I use and how they perform.

They’ve tested well for me, but I like and hunt with a lot of different heads.
