I have met you in Bombay and I can’t tell you how inspired I was in your 20 minute talk about preparation for any examination in general and some stories from your time in IIT M and IIM B ..this video was excellent in the way you spoke about the authors, genres and books .. can’t disagree even 1% with what you said.. plus may be the audience doesn’t know that Rajesh’s own blogs are hilarious and so well written since he is so well read.. it would be great if you could give a link to some blogs of yours ..looking forward to the next video on books if you make one

I mean it's just about getting a head start, and developing the habit of reading right? For some, it's CB and for others it might be something else, it's just that many people create a big fuss about it, and it lowers the self-confidence of the students. Thank you so much ☺️

I'm good at quantitative aptitude but not that good English and I feel my self an average student when It comes to the part which does not consist problems. That doesn't meant Im poor at English , I do read books .As I will be preparing for 2 years ,will I be able to reach CATS's English standard ? I'm losing my confidence only just because of the problem which I've mentioned above

I don't agree that The Da Vinchi Code is for beginners... it doesn't have a reader friendly vocabulary and the names are confusing...and also it's the second book in the three book series..one needs to read Angels and Demons first and then continue with it...To begin with one can start with easy books like Trevor Noah, Kushwant Singh and others...and also...the famous reads of this decade like Haruki Murakami's work are missing from this list

Since you have already read a book by each of these authors,I'd suggest looking out for new authors to explore more writing styles. I have been reading dystopian of late and would highly recommend '1984' by George Orwell and 'Brave New World' by Aldous Huxley. My most favourite author is Oscar Wilde. I am in love with his works. Absolutely in love. It's not even possible to be in love with someone without meeting them but 'The Picture of Dorian Gray' was a riveting piece of work. It took me a bit to read. It's for someone who is in love with the language. But I'd recommend a 100%. 'Kane and Abel' was fun to read. Much like an iconic olden day Hindi opera. 'Midnight Children' is quite lengthy and I am currently reading 'The Enchantress of Florence' so I am probably biased.
