I love the Classics a lot. So, I would recommend "Crime and Punishment", if you haven't read it already. It has several translations. I have read Whishaw's. But the most popular translation is Pevear and Volokhonsky's translation. ( This translation is a bit more modernized but this couple is the best Russian translator out there.) Read whatever translation you love. The novel strikes moral dilemmas. Other ones would be Demian by Hermann Hesse and Lost Boy by Christina Henry, which is a kind of dark take on the well-known novel "Peter and Wendy" by J.M. Barrie. We all love Peter Pan but it is from the POV of Captain Hook who is often antagonised in the novel or our childhood stories and cartoons. These are interesting books, but have a darker concept which I am in love with. Btw I love your videos Prajakta. I have been a fan since years. Love a fellow reading enthusiast. ♥ ♥ LOVE LOVE 🧡🧡

I am also into spicy romance novels and I never have found quite a replacement for the Fifty shades of grey series (movies were shit ad compared to how beautiful and sexy the books were). Then I found the Crossfire Saga by Sylvia Day. OH MY GODDDDDDDDD! Nothing can ever, ever beat that series in terms of the sexiness and storytelling. It follows the fake dating trope (I know it’s so over done at this point), a university romance with the perfect amount of Spiceee!!!! Babaloa’s writing is humorous, witty and engaging! The Silent Patient (I guarantee you, you can't stop until you finish. It's a great read to get you out of reading slum) 2. Harry Potter (the best book series ever made, you know) 3. A good girl's guide to murder series 4. Six of crows (Duology) 5. And then there were none(Agatha Cristie, the best murder mystery writer) 6. ACOTAR series(the most hyped fantacy book in booktok. You must have heard about it) I hope you like my recommendation and dive yourself into the fantacy and murder mystery world.

"It Ends With Us" was so hyped for whatever reason that I decided to give it a shot; there was a lot of speculation about how well that book was received. And, for whatever reason, YOUR FIRST BOOK will always hold a special place in your heart, as will your "FIRST" FICTIONAL FAVOURITE. Atlas Corrigan was so well differentiated from Ryle that he eventually became my favourite when I read "IT STARTS WITH US"* *When I read something else, I'm sure I'll like that MALE LEAD as well.* *EVERY MAN WRITTEN BY A WOMAN IS A ✨STANDARD✨*

I have till now had always avoided fantasy fiction, you know the kinds with gothic covers and weird names. I think they are called dark fantasy though I'm not sure. So 20 days ago randomly surfing YT, came across Shadow and Bone S2 promotional videos, binged the show (loved it) and IT WASN'T ENOUGH. I read the Six of Crows Duology by Leigh Bardugo ( part of the Grishaverse that SaB is based on) and it was so good! Since the Harry Potter universe, Grishaverse is the only verse I'm so invested in. There are so many little details, it keeps you hooked. Also the writing is impeccable. You should try it. Though read the books first. Edit : If you enjoyed Bridgerton, you can divulge into Historical Romance.

Try YA fantasy! They're effectively romances but set in the backdrop of some kind of war or good vs evil fight, aaand the characters usually have powers. Great way to transition away from romance without giving up on the romance because you're just adding in other elements like suspense and magic. Try Sarah J Maas or Tomi Adeyemi books, they're fun!

It surprises me (in a great way) to see how two very different personalities (you're a content creator and I'm a computer science researcher at Harvard) can wildly resonate on the same books! There's a huge overlap between the books you've covered in this video and the ones I've read and my reviews EXACTLY MATCH with yours! :) This brings me to suggest two of my favorites by Colleen Hoover that changed my perspective and brought me to the wildest of my imagination. The first is "Verity" which completely redefined "creativity" for me! And the second is "It ends with us" which made me think about how any romantic people (like us) should never get lost in a way that can harm us. If you've time, do give them a read and let me know your thoughts.
