the scharnhorst is not invincible. its hard to kill if your dumb and don't know were too shoot it. but if you know where to shoot it it can easily be 1 tapped one of its ammo rooms are lightly armor and a half salvo will pen and kill it in 1 shot

I might be wrong but I’m pretty sure gaijin is trying to steer away from the modern battleships for now. If you notice, all the ones in game are of ww1 vintage or interwar at the latest

@@lonelylad3023 I believe devs just add ships of a similar caliber and penetration. So battleships with 380-410mm guns (even if they are WWI era like Bayern) just be on higher ranks.

The Italian navy was added two years ago so that's fun for the four people that want the Swedish navy

Increase the battle timer. "dont get close to enemy ships" don't worry, with a 30 minute battle timer you LITERALLY cant get near enemy ships or spawns if you try lol. No idea what crazy person decided to make 'realistic' naval battles have a shorter battle timer than air battles.

They also have smaller maps than most land battles. So some of the open sea maps you start at almost point blank range for BBs

@@Robert53area yeah.. I don't mind smaller maps so much, I love some of the naval maps. But for me the naval timer is a massive joke. I think they should make it one hour and just double all point requirements to win. Just slow the gsme down generally. Make it so you actually can get to the enemy spawn to sink their convoys etc and so there's a point to moving in formation.

I had so much fun playing my American battleships during the last naval ec session, but this year we got a ton of new ships i can't wait for naval ec again! I hope one day it can be a full gamemode like heli ec!

man, only if naval got an ec a permeant ec.. Helicopters get EC, and soon PvE planes get EC tanks get sim Ships get, CBC with battleships with 30~ minute matches. 🤦‍♂

I tend to disagree with the #1. IMO kongo is superior to arizona. I had yet to have an arizona do more than barrel damage.

I tend to agree. arizona is a worthless battleship that is more then OP on paper but shitty in battle. Kongo and hyago is leaps better then american battleships.

Arizona is more for soaking fire then deleting stuff.

With the longest reload time for the main guns, the Arizona has almost double the reload time of PK. it is also slow and has rubbish AA. The ship is not even in the top 5 of Battleships. Do you guys ever look at the in-game stats before you create your videos? I'm sorry but you got this one all wrong.

I totally agree with you. Although the arizona has a nasty HE shell with 40kg. I am yet to find one threatening to my Kongo or Scharnhorst. I will have uocked it soon myself so I'll be able to run it through its trials

Sales trick is all that is. Arizona is great, see we said so, buy eagles, buy the ship, quick. Kongo and scharnhorst should've been top 5 at least. Surprised that PK wasn't top, it being Russian and all lol

i just unlocked my first battleship the U.S.S Wyoming its alot of fun more than i thought it would be. id personally love to see the Alaska and West Virginia (after refit) and the Alaska would be perfect to go up against Scharnhorst i know Alaska isnt a battle ship and you didnt ask for opinions on other classes of ship but shes just so cool. oh and not that i play the french tech tree but they need a navy. how cool would it be sometime in the future of the game to have the Massachusetts vs the jean bart.

Some people would say that the Schanhorst wasn't added to the list, because it's actually a Battlecruiser, Not a battleship, that's because Schanhorst has only 11 inch guns

@@allena5545 The Bismarck is not a mega battleship. It's similar to other European battleships of the same period, like the Richelieu and Littorio classes. Actually, it's even inferior to them in most ways.

In Gaijin are idiots: after a year of waiting, they give us (finally) a naval enduring. Now, when the event is in progress... what a logic, event is not for enduring battles :(

@@Stavrosstavrosstavros there are lots of ships to add to WT that were actually built, before adding paper ships. With their addition rate it will take years. Maybe for particular nations like Soviets that hadn't had real life ships similar to other WWII battleships.

WOW player here. I gave up on War Thunder, after grinding for God knows how many months, just to get a Corvette. I estimate ten years of playing no other game, to get one example each of a; cruiser, destroyer and Battleship. WT is broken.

Welp its gonna be updated later on when they add Fuso and North Carolina class of battleships haha or even the addition of 1 Queen Elizabeth class battleship would render this ships obsolete

How or where can I recommend for future updates, the addition of more units or certain improvements? It would be good if, as in land and air vehicles, there are even the most modern ones that are the same at sea or that one more tab be added in nations so that the player can arm his forces with the units of different nations without the need to use a nation every time he wants to use a specific unit. that would be great!!!!!!Cheers

quick tutorial on battleships in WT: all Soviet battleships with SAP that with 1-2 salvoes (from 12 shots (!)) destroy anything even hitting the water near the belt, or hyuga-kongo which are even more op. end of the tutorial

Don’t, the ship is awful just like the rest of the American battleships, that’s why I quit grinding that tree and I’m now grinding the Japanese tree for Kongo

Could you guys do something about the Arizona? It is awful, The AP round pens but does no damage and the HE round is not good against anything above light cruisers. Either change the reload or give it a decent SAP round please, I love the Arizona and grinded for it but it is very disappointing.

I think Ijn Hyuga should be at the top followed Kaiser at 2nd and 3rd Hms Marlborough. Japanese really had/ have the great battleships. Please add Legendary Yamato and Nagato in the game, it will be awesome.

You can really tell who in the comments has actually played naval and who hasn't. I've seen at least four faces I recognize here as good naval players - including two naval content creators - who think this list is fundamentally wrong. Everyone in the naval groups I'm in disagrees with it, including yet another WT ship reviewer. There's a lot of factors that go into this and the list does mention some hard facts as well. However, I think that saying that (release-state) Arizona with its a-historical reload and anemic bursting charges is top-tier is completely false. It also leaves out Scharnhorst, which for our purposes is a battleship, and easily in the top three. There are other iffy statements, but those are the two most noticeable ones.

I still don't really understand the point in having a stern bow gun setup and weak belt armour. To get full salvo you have to expose the belt it's that simple 😂

Maybe the best battleships are the friends we made along the way?

I just want to point that Italy still only has one battleship, in case you forgot Gaijin...

If and when it does come, hopefully it’s not implemented like World of Warships’ Yamato. Faced-off with an un-angled Yamato (she was showing me her full broadside) in my USS Alabama (South Dakota-class BB). I was angled to the extreme, just barely able to get my aft turret aimed at her. I lobbed at least EIGHT full salvos of 9-gun 16-inch super heavy AP rounds at her. I took less than 10% of her HP. The Yamato finally turned her attention to me, and killed me in ONE SALVO. lel.

Personally, I would just LOOOOOOVVEE if they brought in the USS Iowa with those 17 inch guns

Gaijin is really lagging behind in graphics. The quality and definition of wave effects, splashes, and explosions are sub-par. Ship movement looks outdated. WarGaming really has an advantage here. Gaijin effects need a total overhaul.

@@kentmacalalad Actually, we do have radar in naval. The most noticeable ones are Neustrashimy and top-tier coastal ships. Unfortunately, their only purpose right now is to search and track planes. (but I could be wrong though)

I think for Bismarck to be added there would have to be a few more WW2 era dreadnoughts to balance it. For example, I personally think that the Queen Elizabeth class battleship should be added, or maybe the King George V. The latter would be more likely as it has 14in guns, however I doubt other british captains would mind the 15in (381mm) of the Queen Elizabeth

Idk why the Scharnhorst isnt here. I have no problem killing any of these ships with it.

Imagine sayin Arizona is #1, when she does not have her SAP. She has a horrendous reload and her shells deal a very small amount of damage (compared to other battleships). Only good thing about her is her armor, but that does not matter if you cannot remove ships from the match and end up with 10 ships all firing at you. (Exception being IJN Hyuga and the poltava/imperatritsa that get insta ammo racked…) Gaijin please fix this mess of a ship, she does not deserve it, and much less to be #1 here.

for me Arizona is one of the worst 6.7 BB in the game

In my opinion the Scharnhorst is better than the Bayern, it has very good firepower and is very good agil. Scharnhorst is like the "Leaopard 1" and the SMS Bayern is the "Maus"
