*Nice reel so far **enjoyable.fishing** recommend used it for about an hour after getting it from Amazon and functioned flawlessly. Very smooth retrieve and the anti reverse is perfect. Feels like a reel that would be double the price.*

I use my Ceymar 30 for 3 years and I love it, caught most of my fish spinning with this reel :3

I'm still using and think it's the best spinning reels ever the Mitchell 300 and 301 clean lubed often bought them in the 60 Still going strong

Mitchell 300 was nice, D.A.M. quick finessa was very, very nice. There is nothing like the craftmanship from those days. I like my Quick reels, I have old ones and new ones. Old ones from 60's are good, new ones are lil' smoother. But there is no nicer sound then brake clicking on some of those old reels...

Diawa BG and Spinfisher are in a different class than those other cheap reels

Bullshit! This is either a sponsored advertisement by Kastking, Penn etc or the guy doesn't really know what he's talking about hence the very noticeable missing of various shimano reels, in particular the Stella!

I have used almost every manufacturers reel at one point or another. When you get to a certain price point the quality is very good on all of them. Read some reviews and buy what you can afford. I've used them and every single one eventually has a problem here and there. I've been inside all of them for periodic grease and oil and a few repairs. After all the years I still use my older pens and the lest few new reels I bought were Fin-Nor . Good quality and have held up very well.none have let me down yet.

Matt Reid shimano stellas in my opinion are way over hyped if you ant a proper reel try the Diawa dog fight of saltiga

Thanks for the video. It was well made. But any list of "top reels" that doesn't include the Shimano Stradic (or ANY Shimano?!?!) is woefully incomplete. And at the affordable $100 price point I must say that 2018 was the year of the Diawa Fuego. Also the Diawa Ballistic is the bomb! (Get it? "Ballistic...." "Bomb".... ahem, ahem....)

Van Staal arguably one of the best reals though they will cost you an arm and a leg and of course Shimano only two he mentioned are worth buying Daiwa BG and the Penn but I think the Penn Slammer 3 is a better choice

Aldem Shimano basic is the best I have that reel with the st. Croix trout series and it works awesome. I also love the Pflueger president with the fenwick eagle rod.

I have had three abu Garcia’s and after four years the drag just doesn’t work the same

Penn wrath 5000 is really good and around 69 bucks with the rod. Add a 20lb braided line and your bait will fly like it has a motor.

I'm a reel tech at shimano and no reel is water tight for sure. Every reel can get water in it and shimano is definitely better thank all of these

100 dollar shimanos are shit, the more expencive ones like 400 dollar ones and up are super good, but cheap is shit, daiwa has the best reel, daiwa BG and if you wanna go expencive then morethan.

For affordable reels. No Okuma Azores, or Helios or Shimano Stradic CI4 ?...

Stella should be # 1. Saltiga , #2. Black Gold is so robust that there are many counterfeits . So are the Ryobi Applause. Too many Chinese copies. The reason. It last and v robust. I got 3 Ryobis and a BG that is more than 40 yrs old. It still work perfectly ! Don't like Abu spinner. The last time I used, the handle flew off while casting !

Okuma has good reels, but the one in this video is like a $49 dollar reel, Daiwa has amazing reels, but Daiwa BG is a $99 dollar reel, Penn also has amazing reels, but Spinfisher V is definitely not the best or even close, Conflict is a better reel, Hell their Penn Battle II is a better reel for less money, i guess maybe these are the reels you used or thought that were best for the price range, also Kast King? Certain reels in this video don’t and won’t come close by the word best. Truth is to each their own, if it works for you, by all means, it’s the best 😁👍🎣 as long as you are landing fish and having a good time doing it 🎣🎣🎣😎😁

Number 1 is still "Daiwa Saltiga" (dog fight or expo), number 2 is "Shimano Stella".
