Opted for Aorus, I like that you can shrink the screen for competitive games and probably prefer flat, there are some downsides though I don't think you can use freesync on shrinked 27" at least but it has to be disabled and you don't have one to one pixel mapping like the Asus so you have to play below native in 24 and 27" or upscale by pushing 1440p / 4k it's not a dealbreaker for me but a bit disappointing

Yes and unfortunately they have gone with a very shallow curve of 1700r which means you have to sit 1.7 meters away to hit that sweet spot. 1.7 meters away for a 32" monitor is ridiculous. This should be a 1000r curve. Maybe even 900

NONE of these new monitors are in stock in the Philippines. Not a single one. The only ones that barely exist are those ultra-wide 160/175hz-ish models that aren't 4k. Even LG's C4 and G4 OLEDs aren't in stock online. It's like there's something happening behind the scenes and we're not being told what it is.

I got the Alienware for 900€ in Germany after Cashback brand new from Dell's website with Dell's premium pro support for 3 years. It was insanely well protected no scratches or anything else. Any other one costs over 1400€ here so it's basically 500€ difference. And the Asus one costs 1800€ which means exactly the double of what i paid for my Alienware. I've never bought anything from Dell before but I'm pretty happy with my Alienware so far 😁 My whole setup is white and the back of it can be seen by anyone sitting in my room so it's absolutely amazing. Does gigabyte one or the others have a better image quality than the Alienware or all of them are basically the same in terms of that?

In the end - Curved or flat it is just a matter of taste. Some like curved-shaped screens, some-flat. Best is go in a supermarket/shop and "touch that monitor candidate", in order to get a better idea of what screen shape fits you better. For my taste: - 1000R (heavily curved screens - Radius = 1m) - for best image experience, requires the user to be within 1meter distance to the screen + not more than +/-5 degrees centered vs screen view direction. Deviations from this "ideal centered position" to the side will result in undesirable visual effects like lower quality image, greyer blacks, etc. However, visualizing the screen from the "ideal position", will give you, some say, a more immersive screen experience (especially for gaming). Not good for productivity work. 1000R curvature is just too much for me when i look at it. - 1700R or more (Radius = 1,7m or more) image quality will be perceived way better than 1000R, even when visualized away from the "ideal position" - in the +/- 70...80 deg range. I have the Alienware AW3225QF (1700R curvature) - and i am very happy with the choice! 1700R is just perfect for gaming, movies as well as productivity work. I do like the slight screen curvature as design, keeping screen away from reflecting the window light (in my particular window/monitor placement) + i have an L-shaped table - hence this curvature minimizes desk space occupied by the monitor. - Flat screens - are just flat screens :) . Typically wide angle of view, easier to re-orient in case of reflections , better if needed to be placed against a wall, perfect for productivity work In the end, if you plan buying any 4k QD OLED monitor around (or over) 1200$ - i do not believe you will buy it based on the screen curvature! Check first what it can do, image quality, auxiliary functions and connections, burn-in avoidance, noise level, energy consumption, size, etc. Curved or flat comes into play only after you are happy with the rest of the Monitor "goodies", and again - its a matter of personal choice

I am pretty sure the flat ones are better for watching movies etc when you a bit farther away maybe, but I could be wrong. I was just "forced" to buy the flat Gigabyte one today instead of the curved Alienware one which I have been waiting for for a month and cause I was just told that the Dell factory has production issues, whatever that means. I've had a curved 27 for several years and been very happy with it

Alienware comes “clean” these days, updated (= all the bugs you have heard about in different blogs, reviews, etc) - those are gone since beginning of May due to the April month updates. Also complains about delivery - solved as well. My Dell came in clean, unscratched , no dents or unwanted deformations in the screen - i.e. - exactly how a new monitor is supposed to look and behave. Yes any OLEDs, from any brand may come with defects (dead pixels, wrong colours , etc) - but hey - that’s why the 3-year OLED monitors swap guarantees! Overall I will not judge whether Gigabyte or Dell OLED monitors are better - I will only tell that Alienware is superb at both movies watching and gaming - be it viewed within the “immersive zone” or outside.
