BEST 3 Neighborhoods in MADRID
Top 3 neighborhoods in Madrid, Spain
When you arrive in a new city with the scale of Madrid I am sure you would want to know which neighborhoods are worth visiting. In today's video, I picked 3 of the top areas in Spain's capital to show you and hopefully give you an idea of the vibe in each of them. Of course, there is never enough time to do and see everything, but let's start with one of the poshest areas, Salamanca. Full of boutiques, fancy brands, and upscale restaurants, Salamanca is so wonderful to walk around. The buildings are so incredible. As I keep walking towards Malasana I realize how my surroundings change. I really like the hip vibe of this neighborhood. Cool vintage shops, funky cafes with a very youthful atmosphere. I slowly made my way to Las Letras, a place where some of Spain's greatest writers used to live throughout the years. like Lorca, Servantes and Vega.

Madrid looks dreamy. I don't know if it is my perception, but it looks like a very organized and clean city, it doesn't look chaotic at all. Thanks for sharing your experience in Spain.

Thank you 😊 it is clean and for the size of this city very organized. Still a big city, but compared to other capitals in Europe I think it leads in many aspects.
The more I watch your videos the more I fall in love with Spain. Are all cities really so clean? If so, it shows the great respect that spanish people have for their country.

Thank you 😊 I am the same way, the more I see from this country the more I like it. Everywhere I’ve been here is very clean. Even after big celebrations like Fallas where there is a lot of trash in the streets everyday, next morning all clean as if it never happened!

We liked Madrid but I know how hot the Summers are there and colder winters than say Valencia. I still pick Valencia to live but pick Madrid to visit often (just not in hot summer).

You can visit the Retiro neighborhood, similar to the Salamanca neighborhood and with a great gastronomic offer. Near the park

This is making me want to go to Madrid asap!

I really need to visit Madrid. I got to spend a few days in Barcelona and loved it. I've sopped briefly in a few other Spanish cities, but never made it to Madrid. Maybe next year!
Beautiful.

A bit late, but... :) The McDonald's location was a luxury jewelry store for much of the 20th century. It closed and the store was bought by McDonalds. Being a historic building they had to respect the façade
Was that STS9 I heard in the background?

Huertas, Salamanca, Malasaña, Chueca, Argüelles, Chamberí are great to enjoy drinking, with food and fun but to live the secondaries streets of Arturo Soria, Aravaca or just some zones like colonia de Mirasierra, el Viso or Conde Orgaz are better for me (although you'll need money 😏😊)

Did you know the oldest restaurant in the world is in Madrid? Casa Botín, founded in 1725. It is quite pictoresque.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏👏
With the exception of barrio de Salamanca, I wouldn't reccomend any of those other areas to live in, They are places to go to, not to live in, unless you are a bohemian spirit or a student. Like others said, there are far better areas in Madrid to live in, particularly if you have family and kids.

El mejor barrio de Madrid?? sin duda: CHAMBERÍ!!!
You should EMPHASISE that you are referring to the BARRIO de Salamanca (named after the Marquis of Salamanca: financier/tycoon in XIX century) as to avoid confusion with SALAMANCA, the CITY&/UNIVERSITY, in Castile&Leon Autonomous region

Barrio = quarter.
Plaza del 2 de Mayo. Conmemora el levantamiento del pueblo de Madrid contra la invasión francesa de 1808. El principio del declive napoleónico comenzó aquí, en España. Los rusos le pusieron la guinda al pastel .
hi ☺😘😘
I wouldn't recommend any of those neighborhoods to live for a long time. Instead I would pick Chamberí, Argüelles or Chamartín.

I agree. Too expensive and crowded with jet set wannabe's. But in Salamanca we also have 'Fuente del berro' and 'Prosperidad' neighbourhoods, and they are not bad at all to live.

Would be much better to see more of the city and LESS of her. She seems very obsessed with filming herself. Not a good look.
