How dope would it be if all the best KZread musicians got together and rebirthed these classical pieces as a group. Everyone from 66samus to davie504, bernth and I’m sure there are some sick ass violinists and any one else who could add to this. Hearing classical most of my life, I really enjoy hearing it this way. This kicks ass. Plain and simple.

Who is more metal, Niccolò Paganini or Beethoven? Paganini, no question. It’s almost eerie how metal Paganini was. Let’s compare them. Beethoven was a great composer. Paganini wasn’t: he composed his own works for himself to play, and they’re more about showing off what he could do with an instrument than about constructing a large-scale piece of music that uses all of the compositional and instrumental resources available to him. In this, Paganini is a direct precursor of Yngwie Malmsteen. Forty metal points to Paganini; none to Beethoven. Paganini and Beethoven were both virtuosi on their instruments, but Beethoven had to stop playing because he went deaf. Ten metal points each, but an extra five to Beethoven for going deaf, which is a very metal thing to do. Paganini toured constantly. Thirty metal points. Beethoven didn’t tour but lived in Vienna from the age of 21 to his death. Minus five metal points. Paganini also played guitar. Ten metal points. Beethoven didn’t. Zero metal points. Paganini had an illegitimate son with a singer who he met on tour. Fifteen metal points. Beethoven’s love life was pretty dismal and he never had children, but obtained custody of his nephew instead. This is, frankly, not a metal thing to do. Zero points. Paganini tried to set up a casino, which immediately failed. Ten metal points for getting involved in badly planned business ventures. Beethoven never did anything as ill-advised as that. Zero points. Paganini had health issues partly as a result of all the touring, including syphilis. Thirty metal points. Beethoven’s health issues were not a result of touring. Zero points. Paganini loved gambling and womanising, and was successful at both. Fifty metal points and a silver Lemmy pin into the bargain. Beethoven didn’t. Zero metal points. Paganini’s Caprice No. 24 is probably his most famous work, making Paganini a one-hit wonder, like many metal bands. Forty metal points. Beethoven is known for many works. Ten metal points for having a substantial and varied discography, including five extra points for his concept album . Edit: Emmet D’Alton pointed out that Paganini went around in skin-tight black and arrived at venues in a black carriage pulled by black horses, so thirty metal points for that. However, it has to be admitted that Beethoven often dressed shabbily and was generally unkempt, so ten more metal points for that. Paganini was said to have sold his soul to the devil for his talent. Ninety metal points. This was not said of Beethoven. Zero points. Result: Paganini: 365 metal points. Beethoven: 55 metal points. You're welcome

How many diss points for Beethoven’s greatest diss track, the Eroica Symphony? (Beethoven originally improvised a theme and variations during an improvisation contest with Steibelt on an inverted/retrograde baseline of one of Steibelt’s compositions, after the latter repeatedly insulted him. Allegedly, that formed the basis for the symphony.)

I just picked up the guitar again after many many years, and never got passed a beginner level, was 16 when I first picked it up. I never really thought that I would be interested, or capable of, achieving anything past playing rhythm guitar but have changed my mind. Amazing guitarists like yourself have really inspired me to reach past my expectations of my capabilities and belief in myself. This performance is perfection, absolutely loved it. Thanks for sharing your talent and supporting other budding guitarists like myself with your tutorials. You are as great a teacher as you are a guitarist. Much gratitude for you brother.

Truly an original cover. Well done bro made it your own. Very hard to do with a well know piece that has been covered so much on guitar, this really stands out from the rest. 10/10 A1

Love that this type of guitar playing and theory are coming back! Paul reed smith would be happy to see this as he just said in an interview that things like this was missing from music lately.

Oh shit, that was amazing! I like classical and metal a lot, they are just have so much emotion and drama I guess and I like it. Vivaldi, Bach, Paganini and Beethoven are awesome! Do you think paganini himself would like that?

Dude that was fucking epic, honestly. To be able to fit so many things together but make it work and interesting for the listener is hard to do. Plus the music was phrased really nicely. Each note had a purpose, unlike Steve vai (although he is a good musician) there was taste in everything you played.

Oh my God . I recently got turned onto Bernth. I love many guitarist. Kirk Hemmett, Kiko Loureiro, Tosin Abasi, Mateus Asato, Jason Richardson. Bernth takes this melodic piece to the next stratosphere. Also note Chaconne Klaverenga playing the same piece on a classical guitar. These new guitarists take me a 58 year old heavy metal head banger to a new realm. WOW!!

Bernth, I would say that you are the most technical and accurate guitarist in the world today, without doubt that takes some major work and practice, absolutely fantastic, if I can play half as good as you in time I will be a happy man.
