What is the point of having international laws if you’re not going to enforce them? Using starvation as a means of warfare is a war crime. Actively restricting aid is a war crime. When we backed the Iraqi government to take down ISIS in Mosul and Fallujah, the civilian to combatant death ratio was 5 to 1. In Gaza it is 2 to 1. Israel is fighting a terror group which intentionally hides behind civilians and still managed to avoid civilian casualties. And this is quite obviously why the (bogus) charges of "genocide" and "Israel targeting civilians (in order to commit genocide) disappeared from the propaganda: they were charges not supported by the facts. The trouble is that one photo or report of even one dead civilian leads to people speewing unhinged hatred at the Israelis and concluding that they are committing "genocide". Oddly, Israel is sending is more trucks today than before Hamas attacked Israel. And the water (coming from Israel) has been on the whole time, while electricity is on in many places too. Instead we have multiple testimonies of ordinary people in Gaza who say the problem is actually money not food, and a black market for food. The poor and the un-armed are facing severe deprivation. Fighrters hiding in tunnels have food, and safety from bombs, as before. One thing is certain, room service in the 5-star hotels where the Hamas leadership live in impunity continues unchecked.

It says that Jesus' followers aren't allowed to take over the government, force anyone to follow him, make predictions about the end times, tell people to follow ancient Israelite laws, put the law before compassion, use swords (read that story to the end, and read all the NT parallel verses and OT cross-references of the other verses you're thinking about, before you try to say he wanted his disciples to use swords). It says many times that violent people are stupid, and God hates them. It also says that if they get kicked out of their homeland, that's because God wanted it because they deserved it, and they don't have a right to it anymore. When you read the Bible, you need to pay close attention to whether it's just a story, or an actual command. You also need to keep track of who the command is for, whether the command was later cancelled, and whether the person in the story was actually someone God was angry with for what they did. You need to read the whole book many times, and try to keep track of themes that keep coming up, like how much God hates legalistic people who don't help the poor, and aren't kind to people from other religions. If you think of all the famous characters as heroes, it's easy to get misled. Also, like the Bible says, scribes and priests lie, and claiming to follow Jesus means nothing. That's why righteous people test them, to make sure they're really loving their neighbours and interpreting the laws with compassion.

Putin has not been convicted; he can try to prove his innocence in the legal system if he wants to prove he did nothing wrong. No judgment has done yet. He is wanted for a crime, not convicted.
