Berm Peak Q&A Spring 2021
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Berm Peak has changed a lot since last year, and so I thought a Q&A was in order. Our Patreon supporters, who are funding a free public mountain bike park, asked these questions and upvoted their favorite ones. Oscar and I answer them in this video!

This right here folks.
Sponsorships aside, something really unique is happening with Berm Park and definitely deserves some love from the mtb media. A crowd funded trail network with machine built jump trails that is free to ride?? This surely has never been done before. Maybe we’ll start to see more of this in the future? We can only hope.

I think acts of kindness just unfortunately go uncovered. I work with Can’d Aid and to date we’ve given away over 3,000 bikes to underprivileged children. 9 times out of 10 it’s never picked up. I can say the same thing on my channel, anything I truly care about like bike donations, trail advocacy etc generally tanks. Lol sigh, I don’t think it’s any kind of conspiracy. Seth had a great point though , Berm Peak is as big of a media platform (or bigger) than any other media outlet so it could possibly be a conflict promoting a perceived competitor. It’s a bummer as it deserves more recognition.

Seth could narrate himself painting a wall and a time lapse of it drying and I'd watch. He's the reason I discovered my passion for MTB and from the bottom of my heart I want to truly thank you for that
Many of us have become invested in what you've done and continue to do.... I've been riding for 42 years... You've become a bigger ambassador then most long established pros... Kids all over the globe know who Seth is and are stoked for what you do.... You are making this sport more appealing and accessible to the the masses... We as whole in MTB are better for guys like you.... Thanks for all you do.

I ragged on this channel for years, but Seth put his money to promote Mountain biking in a big way. Kudos, and congratulations on fatherhood.
When can we see another key west style trip? It’s fun watching you guys struggle with basically no plan
Seth makes a new video. Me clicking it without reading the title.
She will pick it up. It took a bit for my daughter to start with her strider. But now that she is 4 and a half and ever since she was 3. You cant keep her off her strider. She wants to bring it every where we go. Ever camping trip, when we go up to the local ski lodge for a bite, grandparents, etc. She just has to have her bike. I love it.
Hearing Seth thanking the viewers made me realized how good of a person he is, giving back to the viewers who he also helped to get through the tough times. Seth, What a man!

I've been watching your channels nonstop from the begging. Best part of my day. Could watch anything you had a hand in and be entertained. First off id like to say, the first crash after getting back on from an injurie is ether the worst or best thing that can happen. Confidence is way easier to come by when you're not afraid of frailer. second off, YOURE SO LUCKY TO HAVE A JOB THAT WILL LET YOU PRIORITIZE YOUR CHILD, take advantage of that. Finally, MTB riding is an outlet for so may of us. Over the last 2 years I've only had the opportunity to hop on my bike a handful of times, these channels have been my outlet. Crazy how similar things can happen, in 2016 I took up the RC hobby so it was awesome seeing you do the same. Keep doing whatever you wanna do. PLENTY of us will always watch.

It's so easy and compelling to watch whatever Seth puts out because regardless the topic it is clear he treats every video with equal parts passion and professionalism. Pretty impressive to see the constant level of refinement on the videos. Clearly, as the old adage says, "find a job that you love and never work a day in your life."
Seth we understand you’ve been doing a lot lately so please don’t feel like you have to edit a video instead of changing a diaper.

Seth, we continued watching through all the "non-MTB-ish" stuff because it's genuinely fun to watch. You obviously enjoy what you are doing and that translates to making your content fun to watch.
Glad your fall was not a bad one, glad it’s lifted your spirits a bit more! From the bottom of my heart I appreciate you Seth! Thank you for great content and it’s going to ebb and flow! We will keep riding with you!

Sometimes people will dislike a video because it's just not their thing and it's a way to let the algorithm know not to suggest more videos like this one. There is a way to let KZread know you're not interested without disliking it, but I have a sense that a lot.of dislikes in videos like these are just that.
I hope Seth keeps creating more RC content every now and then even when he's fully recovered from the injury.

Its pretty rad of you to share your experience of your injury. I had a pretty rough injury this past season that took me off the bike for 6 months and even a year later its still effected my riding. Im really just getting back to my old shreddy self and its just good to hear all good things take time and gain perspective about the mental recovery that comes with the physical recovery. Thanks for being generally rad and sharing your chronicles of adventure.
So glad you are feeling better man cant wait to see upcoming build and rides . Your vids made me and my friends to start making trails in his back yard and they are pretty good to ride.
"Why are they going to cover something, one of their competitors are doing?" Because a rising tides raises all ships. Anything that helps the community and makes it bigger is good for everyone. You guys shouldn't be competitors, your competitors should be media outlets that cover other hobby/sports, NOT the same.
"Not making enough money" isn't a legitimate issue that prevents them from covering it. Did Pinkbike become the most relevant site in biking by only writing about what they were paid to? This answer from Seth is depressing. I want channels/sites that cover what matters. If Diamondback makes money because people are talking about this groundbreaking project, that should be their reward for being smart enough to sponsor such a groundbreaking project.
Hey Seth, thanks for continuing to make high quality content despite the physical limitations and time constraints that you've been experiencing. I've been watching your videos every week for 2 and a half years now, and still don't mountain bike haha.
