I remember reading the epic of Beowulf in highschool, and growing a beard immediately on the spot. Beowulf is what story telling is all about. This man was the original hype story. An epic telling of a human who was bigger than life. My appreciation for language comes from our ability to tell stories and communicate emotion effectively; part of the fabric that binds us together as a species. This movie came out around the same time we began studying Old English poems. Was going through my old movies and saw this; said f*ck it, I need gym motivation again, so here is my edit for that. Hope you enjoy.
I believe stories (and how we share them) have the ability to reshape our lives and teach us lessons that we might normally not come upon without hardship. The human capacity for cruelty has always troubled me. I will continue to make more videos/photos in the hope that I can offer something positive to the world, however small. This, is what I love doing.

And eastern men too, I say as a full blooded westerner. As the story of the water margin in Chinese literature (which I advise you check out, it’s awesome lol), all men are brothers. All men, world round, we are all brothers. You, me, Beowulf, Finn of Frisia, and the rest. Courage, loyalty, brotherhood, and love for fellow human. These are a few of the traits of a true man. Fight on, my brother ✊🏽
This film is so underrated on the biggest scale. A story of the rise and fall of a great warrior. How have you managed to get the definition so crisp? quality video.

This film is very underrated. In the sense that most people don't know about it. Which is a shame. Because it's a masterpiece.
This is one of my favorite movies of all time. As a girl, watching this movie filled me with so many feelings of heroism, stoicism, and tragedy. I still experience those feelings watching it as an adult. Absolutely thrilling. It's not entirely accurate to the original telling of Beowulf but I love the interpretation. The fact that Zemeckis even experimented with digital animation in film at a time when it was so largely unaccepted, just on principal was a ballsy decision that should be praised. The movie still holds up for me, in it's themes and how it looks. If only the quality on digital copies looked as amazing in this upscaled edit. My mom got to experience this film in 3D in the theates on it's release, she still says to this day that it was one of the coolest experiences ever.

Thank you for sharing that. I was able to see this in 3d when it was in theaters. It was an amazing experience that left an impact on me. I think I was in middle school and our English teacher recommended it

This man is a god among warriors, the great slayer of the beasts, heart breaker, lustful prince, the avatar of power. Strong as a bear, and cunning as a wolf.
This movie deserves more praise. I loved it so much.

love this! the only suggestion, if i may, i would have loved for the final line of the frisian scene to be in the last part where he says " give him a gold peice and send him on his way, he has a story to tell. " almost as an omage to the edda's and knowing his story would be told, i think it embodies the valor and the hubrus of him. that being said well done my man.

Damn. This is a an emotional and inspiring cut.
I just saw Beowulf last night after it came to Netflix. Watching it was so refreshing. It brought back a lot of childhood memories. As for the movie, highly underrated. I feel the movie was ahead of it’s time.

Definitely, most lambast it for diverging from the source material. But it was a masterpiece of it's own and had many hard striking themes and tones and messages while keeping true to the original spirit.
This made me rewatch Beowulf last night, and i had a great time!

Bewaulfs story gripped my attention when I was young, as did Heracles 12 labour's. Fantastic movie.

A man's film. We need a Leonidas vs Beowulf
The one point about this movie that most people have missed is that Beowulf accepted accountability for his actions. Having created his own monster by breeding with Grendel's mother, Beowulf did not seek out another hero to fix the mess he caused. Instead, Beowulf took action to make things right in order to protect his people. He knew that it would mean his death and yet didn't hesitate to do what was necessary. Accountability for one's own action is a true sign a good leader.

The mightiest prince. Its your right for defending your people. It is your inheritance dont be told to do labours. It was yours from the beginning.
This movie was so epic and legendary still it is and will be. And the Beowulf music is one of my most favourite. It's my favourate animated movie. I cried at the end. Still sometimes watch the best part of the movie and listen soundtrack on KZread. I believe Chris Himsworth can play Beowulf, Gladiator , Conan the Barbarian, Robin Hood, Sinbad , Hercules and Viking type of movie. Because you can see in Thor Ragnarok when Stan Lee cut his long hair and put red bloody color in his left side of face. He looks really bloody brutal and epic as hell. It was also Gladiator fight in Arena with Hulk. So i believe he can do better. I know except Bewulf all movies that i mention excist. But Chris Himsworth can do far better. But it's must need to be Rated R. Who is agree with me? Btw great editing and quality video. Keep up the good work. Really genius. 👍👌
