I became histamine intolerant due to 20 years of valium. Benzos block the DAO enzyme, which is necessary for the body to eliminate histamine. Excess histamine causes lots of agitation, wakefulness, anxiety, tinnitus. I was on valium but the whole class of benzos blocks DAO.

@@TheBenzoHouse I just listened to this again. I think you are the only person on the planet that has the same situation as me! So crazy and horrible what has happened over the past few years!! I became histamine intolerant and very sick before I realized that Valium was the culprit. Like you, I never had any dietary restrictions until about two years ago. I was rapid detoxed from valium last March as more and more foods were causing severe agitation and anxiety until finally the drug itself caused agitation or “histamine reactions.” Most of the sources I’ve consulted say that benzodiazepine induced intolerances should heal. I have a book on benzo withdrawal that states many people in withdrawal have trouble with histamine which should repair over time. Personally, I can now tolerate a few more foods than I could while taking the benzo, so some repair has taken place. Living hell is an understatement, compounded by the fact that medical professionals don’t get benzodiazepine withdrawal or histamine intolerance....Please reach out if you want to vent!!! Lol

thank you so much for your response believe it or not there are thousands in the benzo groups that are going through the same thing as you and I it's just unbearable torturous hell. I said in Wonder at 40 years old where I would be if I could get up and do more and not be so immobile and some days I'm not able to even function with my brain. Days are just wasting away. I really hope that we heal from this cuz I'm 19 months off on the 27th and I'm losing hope. Xoxo

Is wakefulness and anxiety also signs of histamine intolerance. ? It often happens after I eat something. I don’t have any other symptoms.

Yes it is 100% histamine is repsponsible for insomnia also.

I am 18 months off cold turkey after taking them for 13 years. I am bedridden since then. My left hand left leg and neck and spine are heavily damaged. I feel this physical damge is permanent. The nerves joints muscles all are painfull and burning alywas. I am just 39 with a family to take care. Plz suggest me if anti histamine foods will help the nerves and joints damage?? 😢😢life

I’m having major histamine problems. The pressure in my face and head is unbearable and it gives me panic attacks , it feels numb cold and tingly too. Fullness in face head and ears. Panic , rage , agitation insomnia etc. I’ve been on diazepam for about 8 months 10mg a night. Ibe eliminated so much from my diet I’m barely eating and I don’t want to because every time I eat the symptoms intensify to an unbearable level. I have severe chronic fatigue syndrome I’m not able to come off benzo atm because I can’t sleep and it makes me feel suicidal as I’m already way beyond exhausted. I keep trying to lower it but I just can’t. How are you doing now? Have you tried a DAO supplement?

I'm 1 year off on the 27th and suffering more now than ever. Been on DAO, C, Low Histamine Diet, burning skin, hives, Allegra, pepcid, its such torture. I feel your pain and I'm so sorry your suffering. This is a crime and someone should be held accountable!!!!

I feel for you. What you are describing is how I am sometimes. I find talking daily tumeric helps my inflammation most often. I hope you can titrate off the benzo safely. Hope it gets better for u! You are not alone! 🥰

Amy Alexander, I was able to get off Benzo with a program called DNRS. I also had chronic fatigue/insomnia.

Julie Uwitonze I’ve already done the DNRS programme. I’ve been off the benzo for 2 months now. So far so good. I feel a lot better off them and haven’t had any withdrawal symptoms so far which was surprising. Have you overcome your fatigue? I’ve been bedridden for 3 years from severe M.E. Trying to find the root cause I have a lot going on wrong inside my body

Amy Alexander congrats on being off Benzo! Did DNRS help you? I think I’m healed from ME because of DNRS. Right now, I’m just dealing with Benzo withdrawal and histamine problems.

What doses do you take for magnesium, zinc and vitamin c?

Not enough research has been done but, I believe all benzos blocked the DAO, they are also a high powered Antihistamine. Xox

I don't use Benadryl because it crosses the blood-brain barrier. I use Allegra or Claritin.

Yes benzos are a high-powered antihistamine and that's why we have histamine and Mast Cell issues they also block the dao enzyme needed to break down histamine in the body

I have all of these symptoms!!! Wow. How do I get tested for mast cell activation?

There really isn't specific tests. The one they did on me my allergist said is pretty generic and they basically go by clinically diagnosis. I'm sorry you're suffering too, its no fun 😔

I'm so sorry are you tapering, off benzos, or still on them? I'm suffering badly with this 10 months off. I wish I knew this drug was poison. The suffering innocent has suffered even more so than a damn prisoner.

@@TheBenzoHouse I am still tapering unfortunately. Omg, what I have been through. I took some allergy medicine, flonase, antihistamine eye drops and ibuprofen for the headache! I still think it's the benzo. I have allergies 365 days a year. The medicine has helped. Or, I could j.g have hit a window. If I knew this was the devil drug, no way in hell I would have taken it. I knew it caused dependence, but I never expected this. Drs dont even know. I hope your histamine stuff leaves soon. I know the pain. That is great you are off.

@@TheBenzoHouse Oh I know. The suffering is hell on earth. I cannot believe a pill could cause so much damage. Not to mention, nobody believes you. For a few years I was a mess. I didn't know what was wrong with me. I felt like an alien in my body. I would tell my drs and they would always say no it's not the benzo. Then I was poly drugged which made me worse. I thought maybe its hormones. Fi ally, I went to bb and I swear they saved me. I dont know why I didn't go there earlier. So stupid. Your videos are helpful. This histamine is disgusting. Feels like its filling up my head. Alo g with the other million sx. It will get better. Did you ever listen to Baylissa? She is a dr. She helps ppl going through benzo hell. Feel better. I find walking helps alot.

It's all so unbelievable! What do you mean by BB? Yes it should be considered a crime what these doctor's do! Instead of helping g us naturally their filling our guts with poison and making us sick. I was never allergic to anything in my life until now i feel so badly for those who suffer this way daily. It's all so unfair.

@@TheBenzoHouse Omg, If I only new what these drugs do. You suffer on so many levels. My muscles are a mess thanks to the dr. Saying it's ok to cross from one benzo to another. It vcd was done wrong. They are getting better slowly after a year. I am sorry you are suffering so much. I had allergies but seasonal. Who know maybe the benzos caused them. They are severe. I have them e everyday. You will heal. It just takes so long. Bb is benzo buddies . Alot of knowledge on there. I like it, but I try not to go in to much because its alot of suffering. Plus if you hear a sx sometimes I swear you get it. Hood people there. I hope you feel better soon. This is a bad time of year to with the pollen. I swear I need to do something about this, it's so wrong and we get treated like crap. Distract as much as possible that has saved me. Walking. One day at a time.
